They started from the living room, all the way down the hall, two bedrooms, and four closets. They also provided new base and shoe. Mike is extremely customer oriented. He came to our home on three different occasions to check on the work. He was very responsive; and returned phone calls and emails. Whenever undertaking these type of major projects, I always grow concerend due in part to the money and time being spent. He put my mind at ease. He explained the whole process to me and was willing to answer all my questions. He went above and beyond to make sure I was satiisfiied with the work and to make sure I got exactly what I wanted. We will be using them again in the future.

Noe came out early on a Saturday morning to stretch carpeting in my hallway and bedroom. It looks almost as good as new!

I have lived in this house for 10 years and I have seen my share of contractors, Micheal was the second one who put a cover on his shoes before step into the house, he had my business right there. If he cares about my house the same way he cares about his own, this is a contractor I can trust. The whole process was very smooth, Michael came to measure the room, I went to pick the carpet, set the price, then install the carpet, no hassle, and always on time. I hate it when people tells me they'll come between 8am and noon. I don't really care much about promotions or big discounts when picking a contractor, because those money you supposedly saved will eventually come out from your pocket on way or another, the bigger the discount, the further you should stay away, because that means a lot of hassles to try to sell you extra things. It is the universal truth that you get what you paid for, you maybe paying less now, but you'll pay more down the road to make up for that. Nobody will run a business that lose money. It is the details on how the contractor handles his work that you should pay attention to. I had two window contractors came give me estimate, one had no sample and pulled out a dirty notepad , the other one dragged samples into my house and setup computer and printer to give me estimate, it was a no-brainer, although the second one is more expensive. I'm happy to pay more to have the job done well.Last word on the ratings, I sell product that gets rated by customers too, I have seen a lot of ridiculous comments and ratings, so when I look at ratings on a service, I look at the general opinion, not just a few grumpy customers, no business can make everybody happy. I'll go with the general opinion and judge by myself. For this Michael's service, I agree with the general opinion.

They did an excellent job. The arrived on time and did the work in a timely manner. The kept the dust to a minimum and I'm thrilled with the results.

I won't do business with them even if the offer me free carpet.

A great experience from start to finish. Mike Ignoffo, the owner, was extremely helpful, honest, and communicative. He contacted me promptly and came to my home to measure and had very helpful suggestions. I came into the store and he quickly recommended carpet within my budget which exceeded my expectations in terms of value and performance. He was quick to communicate and very responsive via email and even though the carpet I chose was backordered, he managed to arrange for installation as soon as it arrived to meet my deadline of getting it done before Thanksgiving. The cost was extremely reasonable and the installation was professional, all completed in one day. When I noticed one tiny area in a threshold with a wrinkle, he quickly got his crew back here to fix it before my painters came. I highly recommend this business. They're honest, professional, family owned, and reasonable. I will be using them again soon to install wood flooring in my living room and master bedroom.

We contacted Carpet Central regarding hardwood and carpet. Mike (the owner) came out and spent a great deal of time explaining the issues that we were dealing with regarding installing a hardwood floor on a slab. He took the time to measure and consider the height issues that we had to deal with where the flooring would meet the entrance way and the doors. He explained the different options that were available to us and different types of floors that we could go with. He helped us choose the best option for us. He brought carpet samples and we spent a great deal of time finding the best one for the basement. Both the hardwood and carpet installers were very professional. They completed the job in less time than they estimated. The hardwood floors are beautiful. They cleaned up after they were done. The carpet is perfect.

Originally we were going to have him stain the existing flooring but after speaking with Mike I decided to go with all new flooring. This was not due to any recommendation of his but more because of the look I wanted. I had maple down in two rooms and was not going to get the color and look that I wanted. Mike was very honest and upfront about what he thought and the services he could provide. Which is a breath of fresh air!! His team installed the new flooring in three rooms: Living room, dining room and family room. They also sanded and stained thirteen stair treads and the upstairs loft office. It took them about a day and a half to lay the new flooring and another two and a half to sand and stain all the hardwood. They worked extremely fast and efficiently, taking only one short break a day for lunch. Also to my suprise was that there wasn't a lot of dust. Don't get me wrong their was dust but just not what I was expecting and it was easily cleaned. Overall this was a fantastic experience and I would stongly encourage anyone who is looking to get there floors done to use this company.

I sent Carpet Central an email requesting a quote as well as providing them with the details of what I was looking for and the tight time frame I was working with. I was very impressed with the fast response that Mike provided in getting back to me, how quickly he was able to schedule an appointment and that he showed up 15 minutes before our scheduled appointment. As compared to others that visited my home, Mike didn't spend as much time in the house or ask as many questions as others did but I don't know if that really means anything or is a negative - it was just an observation. Mike was a very likeable guy, has fantastic reviews on Angie's List and was extremely prompt with responding to my initial inquiry as well as scheduling an appointment. Other quotes I had received were provided to me onsite upon completion of their review and Q&A session, where as Carpet Central said they would email me the quote. Again, not a huge deal but I was under a tight schedule - something he was aware of - and others provided me quotes onsite. Either way, I never did receive a pricing proposal. Mike did follow up a week later asking if I had received the quote, but I informed him I did not - and I didn't get a reply back nor did I ever see a quote. Maybe he could have just picked up the phone then and called me with the quote then? I even checked my spam folder and nothing there either. While I could have chased him down for a quote, I didn't think it was something I should do nor did I have the time for. I was disappointed that it didn't turned out as I had hoped, but maybe my experience was an aberration based on all of the glowing reviews on Angie's List. However and at the behest of Angie's List to maintain the validity of this site, I wanted to provide an honest and truthful review. I ended up going with another vendor who did a fantastic job by the way - CV Hardwood Flooring - and were able to start the very next Monday as well as finish when they stated they would. Would I give Carpet Central another chance if I were to have another job in the future? Probably not based on the experience I've had with CV.

The company delivered the supplies exactly on time. Mike's two men worked continuously on this project, and they were very neat and precise. Mike described them as wood artisans. And they were! They even moved many heavy items and installed my trim. I would definitely recommend and use this company again.

Michael was responsive and professional. His team was hard working and efficient. We are pleased with the service and the product. He honored the 10% discount on materials from Angies' List. We were also moved up on their installation schedule when an unexpected opening became available. Thank you Michael.

They was outstanding in every way and professional from start to finish. Mike was responsive throughout the entire process. He was so easy to work with and gave us some great suggestions along the way. We had hardwood floors installed in a couple of rooms and the installers were absolutely fantastic at their job. They were punctual, friendly and their attention to detail was greatly appreciated. I would not hesitate to use this company again.

I was in the process of purchasing a new house. Mike agreed to meet me at the house prior to closing, and took down all of the measurements. I was mailed carpet samples after visiting the store and prior to our appointment at my new place. Mike also brought samples of the bamboo flooring so I could see them in my new house. After taking all of the measurements, Mike sent me an estimate as well as an estimated date for doing the work. I was under a time crunch, because I was closing on Tuesday and had movers coming on Saturday. Mike assured me that it would not be a problem, and he was right. He had crews in on Thursday, and they completed the job that day. The floors look great, and everything was completed on time and on budget. Mike even upgraded the carpet at no charge. I will definitely contact Mike and Carpet Central again if I need additional flooring.

Carpet Central were masters at installing the hardwood floors. Their attention to detail was amazing and there are no gaps at all. We were very impressed with the woodwork and installation. For staining the floors and refinishing the staircase, we gave them the stain color proportions that should be used to match the lower level, which had also recently been redone 2 weeks prior by previous owners of the house. Not only do the stains not match at all but there is stain splattered in many places that we cannot remove. When we asked them about stain that was splattered on the white paint of stairs and shoe rails, they simply said "you need to paint over it." We didn't know we would be expected to hire a painter after floor refinishing is completed. Maybe that is common knowledge and we learned the hard way. When asked about the two different stain colors that don't match at all, we were told it would lighten over time (however the downstairs had just recently been refinished by another company so if they all lighten over time, they'll never match). We're not convinced they used the same color stain that we asked them to use. All in all, the woodwork/professionalism for the installation of the hardwood was impeccable but the refinishing of existing and staining of new wood was sloppy.

Work was performed as agreed, in one day, on the agreed day, and it looks good. All the old carpet and pads were taken away. It went smoothly.

My experience at the company's showroom was great. The rep clearly understood my needs, and recommended the types of carpet that would work best for my high-traffic staircase. She offered to send samples of each to my home so I could make a final decision. Once I chose the right product, Michael came out to measure. The carpet was installed within a few weeks after the measure appointment. The installers were fast and professional. They did ding up the fresh paint on the baseboards but I think that's unavoidable especially when working on a tight area like a staircase. I am still very happy with their work.

Mike came to the house, and took measurements of the hardwood floor. He explained the different finishes, pros and cons, and also answered our many questions. Mike sent me an estimate the next day, and gave us a scheduled start date. We accepted the bid. The crew arrived as promised, worked hard, and finished the job on time. Throughout the four day process, I am happy to report that there were no surprises. Everything went as scheduled, and the floors look great.

Mike Ignoffo and his crews did a great job for us in two locations! First of all, we approached him for new carpeting before moving into a condo, with only two weeks to spare. He ordered the carpet (at a good price) for our two bedrooms, and it was installed with three days to spare! Then, a much bigger and more challenging job. My son's condo flooded and all of the floors needed to be replaced. Everything was moldy and the contents of the condo were all over the place. Mike and his crew came in, cleared a lot of the furniture out of the way, replaced the plywood, and put in new hardwood flooring in the kitchen and living room. He also installed baseboards and carpeted the bedroom. Every interaction went smoothly, and we appreciate how much he helped.

Mike was very professional and answered all of my questions up front. Once we selected the carpets for the stairs and master bedroom, he came and measured and provided a quote. He then provided an amended quote since we wanted to go with a larger area rug. His employees showed up to cut the carper for the stairs and landing and place the area rug in the bedroom. They were extremely courteous and professional and clean. They came back about two weeks later to install the now bounded stair carpet. They even flipped the area rug around at my request since the two-tone carpet looked better upon entry into the bedroom.

The entire job took 4 days and the floors look fabulous. Several areas needed to be fixed or replaced completely - you cannot tell where the existing floor ended and the new was put in. From start to finish Mike made what could have been an overwhelming job for us seem completely stress free. The two gentlemen that did the work arrived on time every day if not early and worked until the job was done. Mike was available to answer any question at any time and was both realistic and honest about cost and timeline. Honestly, it was refreshing to work with Mike, he clearly had a sense of integrity that you dont find much anymore. I have and will continue to recommend Carpet Central to anyone needing their services.

The prospect of refinishing floors is never fun, but Carpet Central made it as painless as it could possibly be. The job was quoted promptly. The work was performed and completed according to schedule. The men doing the work were courteous, professional craftsmen. After they had completed the job I needed them to come back and refinish an area because I changed out a sink and toilet. I called Michael and they were out within days to refinish so my plumber could then complete the installation. The job came in as quoted. Michael's staff is helpful and Michael is great at communicating what is going on during the job. They were so good I am having them carpet the stairs and landing. I have one word for Carpet Central...Amazing (capital A+). Do not hesitate to use Carpet Central, they are great!
