Description of Work: Mike Ignoffo, the owner, was prompt and courteous. He was able to come out to the house right away to get measurements. We went in to their show room to view the carpet options and his office manager Luba was great and helped us make our selection. Their installers were on time, kept things neat and wasted no time doing the installation. I highly recommend Carpet Central and will use them again.

Description of Work: Had a good experience when we wanted a quote on recarpeting our lower level. However, when we contacted them again to do the job, and get a quote on refinishing our hardwood floors, they never returned our calls. I even went into their showroom and spoke with a woman there, who said they would contact us immediately. No one ever called us.

Description of Work: Our basement carpeting had been destroyed by a flood. We had read good reviews about Carpet Central, and since it was close by, we decided to get an estimate. They helped us pick an appropriate carpet for our basement, ordered it, and installed it within 2 weeks. A pleasure to deal with.

Description of Work: 2 yrs. ago I was looking to take out my 2nd flloor carpet and put in laminate - friends recommended Mike, he came out , was very pleasant, took measurements, told me I'd get an estimate, never heard from him again, I dropped project. Currently decided to do project , joined Angie's list, saw lots of positive reviews for Mikes company, sent an email, left him phone msg., haven't heard back.......no idea how'd he do if he actually did the work.....I just don't get the lack of professionalism in not giving me the estimate and no communication.

The member and I have since connected. I understood that she was coming into my store to look at my laminate selection in order for me to send an estimate. I have all the info. on file. We were contacting her at the wrong phone #. No email was sent with Angie's list contact connect request. I located her old file and called her . Description of Work: Mike provided an estimate for refinishing hardwood floors. His estimate was high relative to the others and he was only bidding on two coats of commercial dura-poly. He was professional, responsive and punctual. I would consider him for another job.

Mike was friendly and had the most reasonable prices. The work was performed on schedule, with good communication, and great results. We love the new oak flooring and the refinished flooring looks beautiful as well.
Description of Work: Refinished upstairs hardwood flooring and replaced 16 boards. Installed oak hardwood flooring in family room area and stairs.

We met with Michael to decide on carpet for our basement remodel project. He was on time, prepared, knowledgeable. Gave us several choices, we made our selection, and set a time for install. His installers arrived on time, worked diligently, carpet installed well, looks great. Would definitely use again.

Michael Ognoffo was prompt in his estimate and was very responsive to all our questions. The work started on time and finished ahead of schedule. When we had a concern about the finished work, Michael came out that evening, checked the work, and answered our concerns. We are extremely pleased with the finished installation.
Description of Work: They installed hardwood floor in the bedroom and sitting room area. They sanded and sealed with Swedish finish.

He shows up and does the work, it was excellent workmanship. He's also very flexible and professional. The guy and his crew were just outstanding, they came out to visit three days later to make sure it was done right. He is just up to date and an outstanding guy. He had a person in the showroom who was really good too. He followed up with a visit to make sure we didn't have any questions about what we had seen in the showroom.

MIKE IGNOFFO WAS RIGHT ON TIME FOR OUR ESTIMATE, EXPLAINED OUR OPTIONS CLEARLY, AND WAS VERY RESPONSIVE THROUGHOUT THE PROCESS. HE DID NOT TRY TO SELL US ON EXPENSIVE FINISHES OR STAINS, BUT HONESTLY RECOMMENDED THE BEST CHOICE TO MATCH THE FINISH OF OUR STAIRS. THE PRICE WAS VERY REASONABLE -- ABOUT HALF OF ANOTHER ESTIMATE WE RECEIVED. WE REMOVED THE EXISTING CARPETING, AND THE INSTALLATION JOB WAS DONE IN ONE DAY. THE TWO WORKMEN SHOWED UP ON TIME, CLEANED UP AFTER THEMSELVES, AND THE FLOOR IS BEAUTIFUL.
