Sunrise Tree Care

As I always do, I got three bids from "A" rated providers on Anglie's List. Sunrise was the low bid and had good reviews. They came out on a timely basis and quoted the work. They left a handwritten quote that day and quickly followed up with a typed quote in the mail. On the day of the work, they came out in force with a full compliment of staff that expertly removed the very large tree and grinded the stump. I have only good things to say.

They treated our neighbor's tree and charged them $125. The village reimbursed $50. They were going to charge us $169.50 with the same reimbursement from the village. Although they said the trees are larger, they weren't.

We have used Sunrise several times. This time was to remove 3 trees along the top of a retaining wall that needs to be reinforced. the tree roots were impacting the wall. They did a great job, cleaned up everything, price was fair based on other estimates. They also trimmed a few trees on the property and did a good job.

We want a refund of $135 for services not rendered. WE WERE GIVEN SPECIFIC VERBAL ASSURANCES THAT OUR TREE WOULD BE TREATED FOR THE FEE. We will submit to polygraph tests and invite David Taylor of Sunrise to submit to one also. Substitute tree treatment will not be accepted now because we have lost all credibility in them. We want a full refund (they act like asking for $135 is the end of the world when they collected $50,000)--WHAT A BUNCH OF SKINFLINTS!!

They did a great job and cleaned up well afterwards. They were very professional. They did a good job but they were kind of expensive. I will use them again in the future if I need to.

Sunrise came out and gave us an estimate to remove our tree. It was was right in the middle of the other two estimates that I received. However, there was not much of a difference between the lowest estimate and Sunrise's price. They were able to schedule the work sooner because of a cancelation they had in our area. We wanted it done sooner than later so we decided to go with them. It took them half a day to cut the tree down and ground out the stump. They cleaned up and did a great job.

I've used this company 4 or 5 times, and they sometimes take care of more than one tree when coming to do a job. For some things the price seems very reasonable, but it hasn't been consistent on this dimension. The last time they came, they quoted me about 1200 to remove a tree, and 800 to do some pruning on a small tree next to it. We were trying to remove most of the branches near the house, but the problem would mostly be taken care of by removing the much larger tree, so we just skipped the pruning. The quote seemed pretty High for the pruning, but reasonable for removing the tree. However, we've always been satisfied with the work performed. I should mention that on more than one occasion I've felt quite a lot of pressure to have work done that I don't want. They are the experts, and advice is welcome, but I would prefer that once the advice is given, they allow me to make a decision without pressure.

He wanted to sell me packages that I don't necessarily need right now. He was a nice guy and seemed okay, but his estimates seemed slightly higher than the other quotes I got.

They were prompt, tidy, polite and easy to work with.

We needed immediate service due to the fact that a large branch had fallen from the tree and was hollow. We were afraid the tree would come down in a storm. We contacted three companies. We chose Sunrise based on past experience, their ability to do the job immediately, availability of special equipment, and a fair price. Sunrise gave us fabulous service from the time Mike came out to give us an estimate until they had cleaned up and left. The crew removed the Box Elder using their crane which was positioned in my neighbor's driveway. The only access to the tree was down a very narrow 150 foot driveway. The crew communicated very well with each other. As a result, the tree was safely removed with no damage to our property or my neighbor's property. The crew was very professional and very informative when I asked questions about procedure or trimming advise. The crew also cleaned up everything. I am extremely happy with Sunrise. We have used them often in the past and have always been pleased.

It was very good. I had to wait two weeks beforehand but that was because of the storms; they let me know about that in advance. They arrived at ten and they were done by five; they got the work done and did the work without interruption. He knocked on our door to let us know that he had arrived and he let us know when he left. The cost was the same as the estimate; there were no surprises. They cleaned up after themselves and they caused no damage. They also did everything they said they were going to, which is wonderful.

On the morning of the job (2 days after the estimate), a crew arrived wearing very clean company uniforms. I walked the foreman through the job, and asked if he could also remove a sick yew from the front. Everything was done quickly and efficiently, with the stumps ground and the chips left in the stump holes. When they were finished, they cleaned the area so well you could hardly tell anyone had been there. I would definitely use them again.

They were good about coming out and taking a look for them. They also gave us a breakdown on what they were planning on doing with the trees. We would of hired them, but the town ended up cutting the trees down.

Got a competitive bid from this and 2 other companies. This bid was slightly lower. But more important was that Steve was interested in my problems and kept coming up with solutions. Was accessible, knowledgeable and fair.

They really knew trees and they are a very, very good company. They are very reasonably priced and he did a lot of work. If it were in the spring or summertime then it would have cost more because they have a lot of jobs. He said he wanted to keep his guys working in the off season so it was cheaper. They moved some flag stones and neatly stacked where I asked them to put them. They cleaned up everything and I plan to use them again.

Very well. Lyle from Sunrise obtained a permit for the tree removal and called Julie. Work was done approximately 3 weeks after estimate. Lyle called 2 days before to notify me that they were coming. Workers arrived promptly as promised and were very professional and thorough. They even came back to clear the gutters of debris as well as get rid of all debris associated with the job. They also got rid of some extra branches that I asked them to mulch. Yard was left vey clean when done.

Lyle came out the day I called for an estimate. I use Sunrise for fertilization in the spring for the trees so I was familiar with their work. They previously trimmed trees about 4 years ago. Estimate was fair and Lyle even noticed a few things that his workers could do that I did know they had expertise in. The work was done about 1 week after the estimate was given. The work was done in a day and the landscape looks great. The dead tree was removed in probably 15 minutes, start to finish. Fast, cleaned up everything, pleasant workers. Lyle stopped by at the start of the day to give his workers instructions and at the end of the day to inspect the work. The yard looks terrific.

Went perfect. They delivered when they said they would. They dropped the mulch where I asked them. I was not at home. And I gave them credit card over the phone. The mulch was good quality and smelled great. It was 'cooking' just right and was actually steaming as I was shoveling it in June.

Lyle came out and gave use an estimate. He called me to explain what needed to be done and was very helpful. Unfortunately we did not use Sunrise for this job but will keep them in mind for future jobs.

The crew performing the job were very professional. The trimmed trees look great. They cleaned up the debris after finishing and one couldn't tell that the yard was once full of fallen branches. Would definitely use again.
