Fixed the clog fairly quickly -- it was 20-30 down in the pipe and not something simple I could do myself. Also provided lots of tips on how to keep the problem from happening again. Would hire again.

We had a toilet that was running slow and backing up, I put a request on Home Advisor, 2nd Chance called me back shortly after the job was posted. I described the job to them, they gave me a quote on the phone and I told them they have the job. They said they had time that day if I was available which we were. They showed up about an hour later which they said it would take them that long to get to my house. They looked at the job, said that they would honor the quote so I said to proceed. They brought in a camera and drain router and started to work, they were efficient, neat, clean and courteous. After routing out the pipe they put the camera thru the pipe so I could see the job and been done correctly and even see the water running. I would not hesitate to hire them again for a job or hesitate to refer them to a friend or client. They are a new company but left another plumbing company to start their own company.

I lived in my home over 20 years.. had many plumbers come and go. 2nd Chance Plumbers is the best experience I ve ever had with a plumber! They came right away. They diagnosed my sewage problem, explained what they needed to do and charged me less then original quoted. Honest, kind workers. They will be my plumbers for life! P.S. My water is running better than it ever has now.

They were very prompt in responding and were out the same day to fix. Very easy to work with. I m out of state so I couldn t see the final job but hey also pointed out another problem that I was able to take care of. Better price than what other contractors quoted but I still thought it was high for a sewer rodding. No complaints overall.

Home Advisor brought these guys up as 1 of 3 options (3 in all of NW IL?!?!) â and with no reviews or ratings, they were the first option?!?!? They had 0 reviews and no info about them in other sites. The job was to clean out the sewer line clogged with roots that cause slow drains (this is a reoccurring problem for us, so this is not the first time this has been done). They called back quickly and offered to come out that night. I got a few other offers that were a little more expensive ($275 - $325). 2nd Chance said they included a camera inspection for the $250 they charged. They said they were a new business and didnâ t have the company set up fully yet. This was a simple job, so I decided to take a chance with them. We scheduled for a 10am start the next morning. They ran 30 min late and gave me a call saying they were 30 mins away. An hour later, I contacted them and they replied they had to get supplies (for my job?) and would be there in 15-20 mins. They showed up in a RotoRooter truck. The explanation was they bought the truck and hadnâ t yet changed the graphics. The guy I talked with was polite and explained what they were going to do. The 2 guys took about an hour to do it. Compared to past times when other companies did the same job, I think they did everything the same. They progressively increased the size of the cutter and went through the sewer multiple times and pulled out a fair amount of roots. The camera inspection showed a few spots where they couldnâ t get fully (roots partially blocked the pipe, but the bottom was clear), but they assured me that it was as good as it can get - water flows (our clean out is 4" and the sewer is 6" so a 6" cutter is not possible). They also pointed out that water settles in the pipe coming from the house (before the clay pipes) and indicated this might not have been installed correctly. They finished up, cleaned up everything, and provided an invoice. He did explain that the $250 price is introductory (expect $300 next time) and normally did not include the camera inspection (add $100 for that). So, the drains runs well for the last 2 weeks. I am expecting to have to redo this again (as before), but I am hoping to get 2 years out of it, but more likely only 1 year. Weâ ll see.

Over all very friendly staff, went out of the way and out of work hrs to help, however would have expected to know the root cause for the old sump pump failure, we got the pump replaced but never got to know the root cause for the failure of previous pump.

They called right away after I submitted a request on Angie's List. Then kept me apprised of when they would be here. My basement was flooded and it turns out my sump pump failed because the drain in the backyard froze and burned out the sump. They replaced the sump then came back the next morning to clear out the drain . They did the work efficiently and price was fair. Nice guys too.
