Excellent, thank you Nancy!

It went fine. She was nice. It was pretty much what I expected.

Short answer-Nancy explained exactly why she thought we should do the things she suggested for our house. She explained why prospective buyers would think this or that about the rooms. She was very specific and she explained everything in very simple easy-for-a-guy-to-understand terms-she speaks from experience. It all made perfect sense and we will definitely follow her suggestions. Long answer-Nancy came over and got right to work, she told us what would be best for our living room to maximize space and visual appeal. Dining Room next-we were debating whether or not to remove the hutch. Nancy jumped right in ("May I?") and cleared the clutter off the hutch and reworked it with a few choice pieces to make it look great. Family Room-Time to move furniture. Nancy isn't afraid to work! Reworked entire room-looked so clean and much more spacious. We then did the rest of the house. Lucky for us her list of things to do wasn't all that long. We were impressed with her expertise and enthusiasm. We had friends over the next day and the first comment we heard upon walking into the Family Room was "Oh, my God! I can't believe this room looks so much bigger."

Nancy has a great energy about her; you want her in your home and she is a "roll up her sleeves" kind of person. She is clearly well respected by the people who work with her, and I would love to work with her in the future.

She said that my house was great and really didn't need to do anything else. Not the direction I was looking for when I made the appointment.

I LOVE Nancy!! I was overwhelmed with the projects I wanted to get done in my house, I can't do everything at one time. I have been doing smaller projects but to put it all together --- I had no idea. Nancy came in and looked at everything I had done and wanted to do. My biggest project was my laundry room, I had an idea but she had much better ones, ideas that I never would have thought of on my own. She called her "people" who would do the work right there while standing in my laundryroom! Nancy asked if things were possible and what was entailed, I was so impressed. Nancy also came back when the contractor came to look at the options. The contractor was so nice, I can't wait to work with him. So excited for my project, I feel very confident that it's the best decision to put the machines upstairs in my linen closet (can't wait!). Nancy also gave me phone numbers of people who could help me pick out furniture, counters and painters etc. she was very, very, nice -- I told her she was my new best friend -- Very happy. I will have no problem calling Nancy for help with future projects, she is worth every penny.

Nancy was amazing. She helped us pick paint colors, floor tile, basement layouts and stair ideas. Her ideas are timely and fun and she is easy to work with! We're hiring her again for lots more!

We are in desperate need for decorating assistance and called in calvery. We found Nancy Anderson Design on Angie's List and called her for a consultantion. Having never used an interior designer before we were not sure what to expect. Nancy was responsive, timely, energetic, friendly and full of great ideas! She was able to share with us some decorating ideas right on the spot. She also seemed to be have a network of providers can be used to help make the design a reality. We plan on continuing to use her services to make our house a home!

She assisted me with color and design. She spent over two hours with me. She provided me with great resources when she was here. She was well prepared and had everything that I needed. She directed me where to go for hardware, granite, and other items. She was excellent and very professional overall.

Nancy is wonderful! She answered my questions thoroughly and gave great advice on the colors for the walls, the placement of the furniture and the lighting for our kitchen, which is quite dark. Nancy is very easy to work with and we highly recommend her services.

We've been in touch with Nancy about scheduling but we were unable to coordinate a window for this job to be done.

Nancy was wonderful to work with. She is very upbeat and professional and worked very quickly with me to maximize the time I had with her. Her rate is $125/hour. She has a great eye for color. She's also very conscientious about budget and recommended retailers where I could find items for a good price. Nancy lives an hour from me, and she charges 1/2 rate for her travel time, so I had initially decided to use her for paint colors only. But after meeting with another design firm in town and getting a high quote from them, I have decided to use Nancy again more as a consultant rather than a hands-on designer. I would highly recommend Nancy. She is full of energy and loves her job.

We've been working with Nancy for the past year on a major remodel/redecoration project in our home. Nancy was great to work with! She listened to what we wanted, understood what we were going for, and gave us some great suggestions along the way. During construction, she worked well alongside our contractor and the various tradespeople involved with our project. And she kept us on track - knowing when to get things done. As the project progressed, if there were any issues or problems, she was quick to step in and resolve them. We did a complete kitchen and laundry room remodel, and Nancy helped us every step of the way - with cabinets, countertops, light fixtures, plumbing fixtures, appliances, room design and layout. We also completely remodeled our master bath - again, Nancy was helpful with every aspect of the job - cabinets, countertops, light fixtures, bath and shower fixtures, tile, and design and layout. She helped us furnish and decorate my husband's basement music studio, including furniture, flooring, window treatments, and a 1/2 bath. She helped us pick out new furniture for our family room, game room, and dining area; and helped pick out flooring, paint colors and miscellaneous furnishings throughout our house. Overall, Nancy was a pleasure to work with. She made everything easy, and fun! She was a great communicator - with us and with everyone else involved. She was professional, detail-oriented, very knowledgable and efficient. She brought us great ideas and options to consider, but ultimately let us make the choices that were right for us.

Nancy was wonderful in giving us ideas to update our home of 24 yrs. She gave us a list of contractors, suppliers, and stores she highly recommended to meet our remodeling needs, saving us the headache of "shopping around" and comparing prices. She had great color and material suggestions that were wonderful and fitting for our style of home, and most of all helping us to decide what project to start with and what could be done later when we were ready to proceed.

Nancy Anderson was fine. We are still trying to figure out what we are going to do. She was very helpful. After the initial consult, she was working for another client and they were looking at some stuff she thought might relate to us. So she let us know the websites that she was looking at for us to check out as well. Even after the initial consult, she was still thinking of us, looked up for us and called us on it. She was very friendly and very knowledgeable. She did seem to want to do the best job possible for us. The price was very fair. With regard to responsiveness, she had some time where she had to be with her mom in Florida. We didn’t see her right away, but there was a very good reason for it. With regard to punctuality, there was a mix up on time. When we set up the time, she was in Florida. She forgot about the time difference. She was on time if she had it recorded at the right time. She wasn’t on time by our time. She was actually early, and I wasn’t home yet. But there is a reason for that as well.

I signed up for Angie's Big Deal for two hours of consultation services from Nancy Anderson Design. Nancy arrived right on time and gave me her full attention. We went room by room and discussed possible decorating projects for the future. She offered me many ideas but didn't try to push or talk me into anything. Rather than decorators who act like a client is made of money, Nancy had plenty of suggestions for saving me cash, like decorating around an upholstered chair rather than spending money to recover it or keeping larger furniture items and updating the look of a room with accessories. We discussed flooring ideas, paint colors, window treatments, and items specific to some of the projects I was doing like bathroom fixtures. She called one of the companies she works with to get a guesstimate from him on a bath remodel. I had received a general quote from another contractor and wanted to see if the quotes were similar--they were. Nancy understood that my husband and I were retired and was more than willing to help us get the most bang for our buck to bring our home into an updated, comfortable state. Hopefully, once we are ready to begin our remodeling projects, I will be able to contact Nancy for additional help. She was very personable and easy to talk with.

Raised the white flag to help my wife, who was ready to give up on our "new" house after a relocation from Florida. We had a recommendation for another decorator from a friend and this other decorator literally made my wife cry. Nancy was super responsive, came to our house within 2 business days after first contact and connected with my wife, who has very good taste but just needed a professional "nudge" in the right direction. Her knowledge of colors is amazing and we're now ready to paint and install new flooring. She also had some very good ideas as to furniture placement. We would recommend her to all and will utilize her services again when we're ready to put the wall hangings up.

Nancy provided excellent advice on how to prepare our home for a future sale. She gave us referrals for people that can help us with our work. I was so impressed with her that I referred her to my boss. I would not hesitate to use Nancy again.

Nancy was great to work with. She has a very good eye for color. She quickly got a sense of what our style was, and was able to provide us with lots of different options to finish our house off. She was always accessible and is very easy going. We encountered an issue with poor carpet and window treatment installation, and Nancy contacted both vendors right away to correct the issue. She stands by her work, and is not complete with a project until you are totally satisfied.

While initially I was pleased with Nancy and appreciative of her efforts while I was in the hospital when I returned home home I found an error in the color my fireplace was painted. She chose to "dump" me" rather then try to resolve the issue. I was very disappointed in her attitude around this issue and consider her actions highly unprofessional. Signe Boxser

I hired Nancy to give me ideas on floor coverings, a kitchen update and curtains for the whole house. And she did a very good job. She invited her most trusted contractors to provide samples and quotes. She was very professional, easy to talk to and full of ideas.

Nancy met with me in early April to ascertain what was needed for my redecorating project. I realized how lucky I was to have found her immediately. She is a joy to work with, very hands on, actually reupholstered my dining room chair seats herself, teaching me how to as she worked. Chair cushions are gorgeous as is the entire finished project. Nancy introduced me to a local contractor who worked with us every step of the way. She helped me pick out all the materials, colors, paints,counter-tops, cabinets, drapes, and carpet, necessary to renovate the kitchen, living room, bath, halls, and balcony. Directed and drove me to suppliers with the lowest prices for quality products. She worked closely with painters, carpenters, electricians, plumbers and the contractor to make certain everything was done promptly, at the best price, and as ordered. All the special little extras, new chair cushions, a wonderful little nook in the entry hall, shadow boxing my paintings, fixing lamps and decorative pieces, have made my condo my beautiful new home. All appliances work perfectly, the painting is perfection; it's all so lovely, and Nancy made it so. She saved me more money through her discounts and choosing the best contractor and dealers with great prices than the fee she charged me. I highly recommend Nancy Anderson Design.

Our general contractor, Warren Edwards Builders,gave Nancy's name to us. At first I was very leery to work with a designer. ( I tried working with a designer once before and that woman's ideas were far fetched and she seemed to have very little investment in the project.) However, I also felt overwhelmed by all the decisions that were going to be needed, so I decided to contact Nancy and subsequently her references. After we met to discuss our ideas I knew that she was a woman that I could work with. It was not long into the remodel that I was grateful that I made that decision. Nancy was a delight to work with and I love the finished product.
