GREAT! Norbert was fabulous! He headed up the crew and he was excellent in his work as well as his personality. I'm a designer so I had a real appreciation for the quality of his work and his attention to detail. We're in a historic district and we continue to get rave reviews from our neighbors! We highly recommend this group and would definitely hire them again!

They are very expensive but they are good. They bid on two of my projects but they were to high. I haven't used them but they have a reputation of being good. They are too expensive.

They did a good job, but like all contractors I needed to watch them to make sure that all the details discussed were actually used on the project.

Gregory and the Siding Group are absolutely first rate. They did a great job installing new siding on my two story colonial in Northbrook. They did it in one day and cleaned up so well I could not even tell that they were there. They were also prompt and did excellent work repairing damages on two subsequent occasions. Gregory was very attentive, responsive and professionaI in every way. I highly recommend the Siding Group for any siding or window work.

They were on time every day, extremely friendly and courteous and above all well qualified to perform the job.

We liked the salesman, Angelo, but it wasn't until the workmen started the job that we realized how many things he neglected to specify correctly. As a result, they ruined our entire alarm system (the company did pay to replace it), neglected to address problems with Hardie siding over our flat roofs, and many other careless mistakes. It took 3 months of broken promises, missed appointments, and unbelievable unprofessionalism to rectify everything. Can't believe this company can stay in business. The good thing is that the workmen they use are excellent so the finished job is good despite the months of aggravation.

Love Greg, Angelo, and Matt the Foreman. Very professional, concerned with my satisfaction. If you don't use them your a fool. They are incredible.

There were three workers, and it took 3 weeks to complete the job. They left the area very clean.

Work was outstanding. From the very beginning we were working with a salesman (John). He was patient and thoughtful in how to do the job and options. It's a big under taking and far from inexpensive. We hesitated and did a lot of number crunching. When we decided to proceed, company assigned a PM (Jola), who was responsive. On site crew was thorough and professional (Norbert-lead and Tom). We ran into a lot more rotted wood than originally anticipated, but I now have more confidence in my home integrity than I've ever had. A 2 week job turned in 5.5 weeks, but the work was so impressive neighbors and strangers would stop by and ask us about it or gather the company information to get their own quotes.

he project was completed with attention to detail and the outcome is excellent. I am sure you could find someone for a cheaper price, but never the quality. The price was fair and the porch looks awesome. The owner Greg was very responsive and personable. I have given their name out to others.

The work done was performed in a professional manner from beginning to the end with extreme attention to detail. Greg and the Siding Group performed beyond our expectations. We would recommend them without hesitation!

Greg, the owner, is very responsive to questions and requests. There were bumps along the way during the project, and these were handled professionally and reasonably (like going from tearing off only vinyl siding to tearing off three layers of siding, plus moving window frames). Any time we've discovered an issue, Greg had it taken care of promptly. Neal the sales consultant was very friendly and helpful in our decision about siding design. He gave us a list of addresses so that we could drive around and see examples of their siding jobs, which was very useful. The work crew was also good, especially Norbert. They worked hard, did careful and fairly detailed work, and cleaned up every day. Norbert can troubleshoot well. He came up with creative solutions to handling unexpected structural issues (like uneven walls). The only significant complaint I have is that they almost installed the HardieBoard on top of old asphalt siding (which we did not know about until the vinyl was taken off), which would have voided the manufacturers warranty. But after we pushed the Siding Group to look into it, they learned that you shouldn't install the new siding on top of old asphalt siding, and so removed all layers of siding down to the original wooden planks before wrapping, insulating, and re-siding. Also, there was a miscommunication about the siding design so that shingles were not initially installed in the gables as planned. The issue was handled right away and the final design is exactly what we wanted (nor were we charged extra for the day and a half of additional work). The work looks great, and we've gotten lots of complements.

Everything Greg told us they would do was done in a very professional way. The outcome was outstanding . We are so pleased with our home and would give this company 5 stars.

The complete job took about 8 weeks, since all siding needed to be stripped, and I was also adding two porches, plus replacing a side porch and door with a wall. The overall project was well-organized, workers arrived promptly each morning and worked until dark most days. They were neat and organized and addressed every concern and question along the way. I was so pleased with the workmanship, attention to detail, and keeping my home and yard as neat as could be expected. The various crews (siding, gutters, carpenters, etc.) were dependable, came when they said they would be there, and kept me informed every step of the process, and what to expect next. This was important, as I had several modifications to do (electrical wiring, cable services) and needed to coordinate other service workers. The Siding and Windows Group is on of the most professional teams I've ever worked with and I appreciated their ongoing advice and consultation to create a beautiful new appearance to my home. Strangers walking down the street have asked who did the work, it is so beautiful. Their attention to detail is top notch. From the trim and frieze board to the newel posts on the porches, each of the finer details exceeded my expectations and supported my impressions that the Siding & Windows Group is the best in the area. The most important thing is to stay in constant communication with the workers and the project manager, because being informed along the way made all the difference to understand how the project would flow. They asked my many times if I was happy with the work, did I have any questions, etc. Overall I have most appreciated the highest quality of materials and workmanship, as I know it will serve my home for many years to come. Siding & Windows Group did an outstanding job and I would highly recommend them to anyone considering undertaking a Hardie Board installation. The work crew paid very close attention to every detail, worked long hours when needed and was meticulous in the installation. They spent considerable time and effort cleaning up the property each night and were friendly to work with. Our project manager, Julie, was on-site nearly every day and kept us informed of the progress and what to expect next. The owner of the company, Greg, was also involved in the project and was very accommodating of scope changes and "add-ons" during the project. We have received compliments from nearly every neighbor about the improvement in the appearance of our home. I would not consider calling anyone else for a project that could be performed by Siding & Windows. They are a James Hardie Elite Preferred Contractor and they have earned their designation with quality work at competitive prices. They did an excellent job.

Siding and Windows gave suggestions along the way and the finished product is excellent. Every mitered corner is perfect. Our neighbors are still stopping by to say how beautiful the house looks. I highly recommend this company for their attention to detail and quality.

Very pleased with the Hardie Board siding product and the Siding Group's installation. The siding looks very much like wood. 100% better than the aluminum siding it replaced. We're looking forward to no maintenance! Salesperson was professional, knowledgeable, friendly and often onsite. Installation crew seemed well trained for the removal and installation of siding, as well as removal and reframing of the windows. (I do wish that the Hardie Board product itself included a better trim material, more comparable to the quality of the boards.)

The company itself never once showed up on site while the workers were here. The workers did NOT have a copy of the contract or work order so made mistakes. They were supposed to remove the cedar siding, as per our contract, but did not. We had to tell them to....then the workers had to call the company to confirm. We also had several other significant miscommunications. It wasn't the workers fault, as they were excellent (Arthur & Stanley), but Siding & Windows did NOT communicate with them or us AT ALL during the installation. It took another few months to get our shutters. THe only reason I think they came back to install them is because I held back their payment. I would NOT recommend this company. The workers were great, but in no way does that make up for the unprofessional staff back at the office.

I really can't say enough good things about the whole team at Siding and Windows Group (SWG). Re-siding an entire house with a top-notch product like James Hardie is an expensive project. So we were quite nervous about doing it, especially selecting colors and design elements. The designer/salesman (Bartek) made suggestions that we hadn't thought of, and helped us to pick all the right elements for this project. There was no pressure - we had time to drive around the area and look at other houses that they had worked on and how the colors and different sizes of planks looked on real houses instead of on a small sample chip. The crew who did the work were excellent - Adam, Andrew, & the Other Guy whose name I can't remember (sorry). We also dealt with Greg, the owner, and Jola, who was a project manager. The site was cleaned up at the end of each day, and everyone kept us informed at each stage, responded quickly when we had a concern, and made sure that 100% of the project was done to our satisfaction. And it was. The job took several weeks, including days off for bad weather during the winter. The house is over 100 years old, so there's always surprises when work is done. This project was no exception. The biggest issue was the roof over the porch. After the existing gutters and soffits were removed, it turned out that the wood frame was so rotted that it could not support the Hardie product. After some discussion, SWG ended up removing it and rebuilding a new roof over the porch. It certainly wasn't in the initial scope of the project, but it was well worth it. We're really happy with the final results.

It took several times to finally get these guys to do our siding job. But they did a very professional job. There were several things damaged that they happily returned to repair. They also secured the gutters at their own incentive and cost. I liked their their attention to detail.

In all the years (18) I have been renovating homes in Chicago I have too rarely had a company exceed expectations. This group did that and then some. Great communication skills, kept me informed, spoke with me prior to, during and after each day of work. Simply great to work with.

Once the job got started, after a 6 week delay in the projected start date, everything was great. It was a struggle to get a rendering of what the house would look like with the proposed changes (which changed the look of our house drastically), but eventually we got a drawing and the ball got rolling. The workers were punctual, professional, and, most importantly, highly skilled. The head carpenter was easy to communicate with regarding the issues that come up in a job of this size, and everything was completed to our satisfaction. The owner, Greg, saw to it that we were happy with the work product and made a few trips out to check progress and meet with us face to face. Once the job was completed, we saw a couple of things that needed attention, and they were back out in a couple days to fix the issues. We are completely satisfied with the end product.
