I did have to call them even though I originally sent them an email asking them to call me or email me to schedule an appointment, so I guess very first impression wasn't that good. However, once I did talk to someone on the phone (and I did not mention that I had sent an email), they were extremely helpful and accommodated me at a date/time that worked well with my work schedule. When I got there, he suggested other services to add. He wasn't pushy AT ALL. And I did wind up taking one (cleaning of the engine). When I picked up the car later that same day, it was INCREDIBLE!! My car looked like new. They took out some stains on my upholstery that another detailing place was not able to take out (I don't know how they did it). My car is four years old and I have a child who is in sports, etc. so my car gets dirty and stained, but they did a wonderful job. I highly recommend their services. They were very courteous and professional and they leave your car like new.

Overall things went smooth. I dropped off my car at a specific time and picked it up when they said it would be ready. The car was very clean and there were no complaints.

I received a gift certificate from my wife for Christmas for full car detailing from Quality Auto Reconditioning, Inc. (QAR). Upon arrival for this detailing, we met Sam, the owner who was the very nice and professional. We went over my car and what was to be done. He also suggested some scratch removal for my car at an extra cost. We left the car in Sam and his staff's capable hands. Upon pickup after 6 hours, we noticed that they did a thorough and magnificent detailing job on my car!. In conclusion, this service was very good and Sam and his staff did a very professional job. I would highly recommend this and other car services that QAR can supply. Thanks again to Sam and his staff at QAR!

I didn't know that my car could look brand new. I was amazed. It was well worth the money and a much better price than I had found elsewhere. I am sold on detailing and on this firm.

We were happy with them and would use them again in the future. they even provided a ride back for us. Amazing.

They began the work in the morning and it was an all-day job as they soaked the carpet in order to remove ground in dirt. It was worth the wait as the results were fantastic!

nothing special. Purchased 2 Angie's coupons and had the feel was being hard-pushed for other services (engine wash, etc.). Job was acceptable, but for the price I was not very happy. Windows were streaky, minor paint touch-ups that I had paid extra for were not done.

There was some initial confusion over who was supposed to call whom, but that did not bother me because the vendor made several attempts to contact me. The location is slightly hard to find; it is in the back of an office park, so ask how to find them. I was told ahead of time exactly what would be done to my car and asked if I wanted anything extra. I was told the car would be done in 4-6 hours. It took a little longer than 6 hours, but I waited in the beautiful new local public library and it was worth the wait. Q.A.R. did a fabulous job on my 8 1/2-year-old car. It looks almost new. Even the stained dirty carpets look 100% better. The staff is very friendly. Glenview is a little far for me to travel but worth the drive.

The only other thing I would add is that we dropped off the car at 9:30 am on a Saturday. They wanted to keep it until Monday which didn't work for us as we both need our cars to get to work. (The other place we use - nearer to home - has never asked to keep the car over a weekend, and they do a better job. They told us they close at 4:00 but they would call us when the car was done - at least 30 minutes ahead of time because we live about 30 minutes away. They never called us so we called them about 15 minutes prior to their closing time of 4:00. They waited for us to get there so it ended well. We're not dissatisfied, but as I said - we've not really impressed either.

Work was flawless. Car looked as good as new. Final price was the same as estimate which was $500 less then two other estimates

They did a fine job. They got it done in a timely fashion and the quality appeared to be very good. The only issue I had is the cleaning solution they used for the inside of the car had a very bad smell and they didn’t do anything to get that smell out of there. Otherwise, they were excellent.

Was not contacted by service provider until I was asked for a review and I noted that I had not been contacted. The provider said that I was supposed to contact them however the information form Angie's List said the provider would call. Then they said they had tried to call however no messages were left on my voicemail as noted in their response below. Moreover, my call log on my phone did not show them as a caller. Not sure where the disconnect was. When service was finally scheduled, I was told they needed the car for four hours; however when I went to leave the car, I had to leave it all day. The up charge on services for engine cleaning and pet hair were not prominently displayed in the information. I opted not to take the engine cleaning as my car is only one year old. When I put my dogs in the car, they ride in a cargo area that has a dedicated blanket for them. The quality of work actually performed was excellent. The wax job alone was worth the cost. It rained the day later and the water beaded on the paint beautifully. Interior smelled like a showroom car.

They drove me home and performed there work in the time the stated. All went well.

At check in, I asked for the $35 engine wash, and then the technician pointed out that the two-tone leather of the driver's seat was tending to split and fade, and offered a restore job for $140. I gulped, but eventually agreed, knowing that a well worn driver's seat would affect trade-in value sometime soon. He also offered spot restoring of paint chipping, mainly at the front for $79, which I accepted . When I got the Jeep back 8 hours later, I couldn't believe how good it looked, even though I have always kept it very clean anyway. The exterior looked like brand new, and the interior was spotless and sparkled even better than brand new. There was no residue of polish powder anywhere. The seat repair was perfect. The engine compartment looked amazingly clean and fresh. The only sour note to me was charging me $35 for an oversized SUV. I don't consider a Jeep to be an oversized SUV. Overall, I was so pleased with my "brand new" looking nine year old car, that I am taking another car to them for the same treatment next week. Be aware that #1723 is not easy to find. The numbering system is crazy around there. The location is a narrow entrance near the back end of a narrow parking lot opposite the Glenview Car Wash, very close to Waukegan Road.

The car looks & smells great! However, I submit the following caveats: 1. Be sure you know the complete price upfront. The fine print on the Angie's List deal said that XL suvs would be charged extra. According to QAR, ANY suv is charged extra. He didn't mention that when we discussed pricing upfront. I have a Subaru Forester, which I do not consider an XL suv - but QAR charged me the extra price when I picked up the car. When I complained he did adjust the price, saying it was a mistake on the part of Angie's List. I appreciated his not charging me the extra price - but be forwarned! 2. Watch the Upsell. As we looked over the car before the work was done, he pointed out a small dent near the wheel well (probably shopping cart damage). He offered to pop out the dent, and repaint the area - for $425! The next upsell was for the engine compartment cleaning - which I did take, but probably should not have - for $35.

I purchased the Groupon so that my 8 year old Honda would get a good cleaning and look more like the day I purchased it. After consulting with Sam, I decided to also get the engine cleaned ($35) and some nicks in my windshield repaired ($69) as well as the detailing provided for in the Groupon. I was told upfront that this would take a minimum of 3 hours and maximum of 6 hours. I decided to wait for my car even after they offered several times to drive me home and come back to pick me up. I am used to waiting for my car when it is being serviced at the dealer so I thought the wait would not be a big deal. I underestimated my own patience and stamina because 4 hours later, my back was hurting. Upon Nadeem's suggestion, I went and had lunch at a restaurant nearby. When I returned, my car was ready within about 30 minutes. I thought the car looked really nice. They did a great job on the windshield, especially on a nick that had been previously "repaired" by another company. The back bumper looked great despite many marks from parallel parking at work over the past 8 years.I have never had my car detailed before but after this experience, I would totally do it again! Sam and Nadeem were both really nice. Sam had mentioned one other service I should have performed on my car (seat repair) and after I declined, he did not pressure me to add this on. He respected my answer and moved on.I would go back to QAR the next time my car needs some TLC to keep looking brand new. Overall, they did an excellent job.
