We are greatly pleased and appreciative of the service, attention to detail and quality of work. We had a water leak issue that required multiple crews working as a team remove internal walls and ceilings and rebuild it to get our condo unit back in shape. Roy came out quickly after my initial call. He looked at everything and emailed a detail estimate. When we got ready for them to do the job, he got us on his schedule right away. His crew came when they said they would and did exactly what they promised. The whole process went very well - we would totally use them again. It was a great experience to work with such reliable and professional people!

Beautiful results, particularly flooring, but took weeks to root out defects which were then promptly taken care of. Apparent subcontractor used totally unqualified personnel to replace electrical switches (3-way switches replaced by 2-way in both stairwells and cross-wired with inside lighting in one), add GFCIs (a kitchen GFCI and string of connected receptacles didn't work at all), and install stove alcove receptacle in new drywall (receptacle hidden inside a cabinet without access and consisted of uncovered electrical box with wires stretching into cabinet where receptacle was wood-screwed in place). A brand new clothes washer was apparently used to clean plasterer's coveralls, leaving 1/4 cup pile of pink silt in sink after my 1st wash, and the apartment's relatively new upright vacuum was used as a shop vacuum, with a quart of plaster dust in filter chamber and half dozen thumb-sized plaster chunks clogging hoses. Not professional behavior. Results were worth the hassles, but I would seek assurances that only electricians would touch electrical wiring and state my expectations on cleanup before hiring again.

I phoned late in the afternoon on Friday and didn't expect anyone to return my call until the following week. But later in the evening, I received a voicemail from Roy. He verified that they did offer free estimates and booked me for the following Tuesday. He stated that he would phone when he was w/in 30 minutes of my location. He also advised that for the ceiling repair, he contracted out that type of work and therefore could not guarantee that the contractors would agree to travel all the way to my location, as they performed most of their services in Chicago/the North Shore. When he arrived on Tuesday, he inspected the ceiling, asked me relevant questions, gave me answers and explanations, and finally, he advised that there was no mold and that I only needed to patch up the ceiling/dry wall. And that visit cost me nothing. I would just like to say thank you very much, Roy, for providing that service. You did as you promised and did not take advantage of our lack of knowledge regarding mold. Also, Roy did not try to sell/offer us any unnecessary services. He could have (because really, when it comes to mold, do you want to take a chance?!), but he did not. Roy and his company are to be commended for being professional, ethical and honest. Such qualities are what will surely bring them MORE business because they incite TRUST. This company is definitely recommended and I would consult them again if needed in the future. Thanks, Roy!

Great! Roy was incredibly helpful and honest. He didn't try to sell us services we didn't need. He told us how to fix the problem ourselves and told us what to look out for in case we did in fact need their services. Would absolutely call them again.

I was really very impressed with their level of service, dedication, and commitment. They were very thorough and also talked me through the entire process. The work was completed flawlessly and the post-remediation clearance test results came back clean. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND 911 Restoration to anyone in need of these services.

Next morning 8 am (as promised) Ronne and his experienced crew rang the bell and began a comprehensive all day remedy. They removed standing water, hauled out wet carpet and padding, hauled out everything we chose to throw away, cleaned the items that could be cleaned, sanitized the basement and crawl space, and cut wallboard up a foot from the floor to remove wet wallboard and minimize the risk of any mold developing. Then they set up a system of heavy-duty dehumidifiers and fans to give everything a thorough drying out. That equipment ran non-stop for three days, when Ronne's crew returned to retrieve their equipment. The humidity was monitored from start to finish, to document complete success. There were many aspects of working with 911 Restoration that I valued and recommend highly to others. They are responsive and wonderful about customer service. Not only did Ronne show up immediately, on a late Saturday night -- but when I discovered that a washing machine water re-connection wasn't working hours after 911 had left, Ronne returned to solve the problem (quickly). Ronnie does a fabulous job of outlining what services 911 does and does not provide, along with the price estimates. Most valuable and impressive was the documentation that Ronne provides. The two reports he generated -- one on water damage, with a detailed billing statement for his services; the other a repair/restore estimate, outlining all the work needed to restore the basement with cost estimates -- were key to my subsequent dealings with insurance adjusters. Ronne's documentation helped me obtain a robust insurance settlement for damage done and repair/restoration needed. From past experience, these insurance settlements are difficult without solid documentation. I hope I never need 911 Restoration services again because flood proofing measures under way may prevent future problems. But if I do, I have 911 Restoration on speed dial.

Had company removed mold from attic. A two day project. The two guys that did the job were very good. Went beyond the normal job requirements. Would recommend for mold problems

Roy is extremely professional and easy to work with! He is very responsive and attentive and wanted to be sure that I was completely satisfied. The results of his team's work was excellent! The area was completely made like new; the stain was matched exactly; the paint color was also matched exactly. After a punch list inspection, Roy immediately sent his team back to our condo to do some minor touch ups. Excellent service and excellent work! I would highly recommend Roy and his team! I have already hired Roy and his team for a second project at a different property of ours.

Roy was professional and courteous. He was consistently honest,punctual and reliable , always available for questions. His flooring contractors were hardworking. Their work was meticulous. We would be happy to recommend this company and would call them again if the need arises. Roy provided us with professional estimates that were easily submitted to our insurance company. II was a pleasure to work with this company. Our floors look beautiful.

It went well. He didn't find any mold in our home but did point out some areas in the walls where he detected moisture. We will keep on eye on those.

Working with 911 went very much as previous reviewers described. Roy is the chief point person, and he comes out for the initial inspection. He set up an appointment for mere days after I called him. The work involved removing damaged flooring and wall portions, and ensuring no water remains by drying with fans and whatever else is needed. Then the flooring is replaced and the walls (and trim) repaired and repainted to their original look. Roy and a partner did some of the work, while other work -- the flooring in particular -- was subcontracted. We even made the work a little trickier by trying to preserve some of the flooring, as only about one-third of the room's flooring was damaged. That meant the new flooring had to match the original. As our flooring was installed only two years earlier, we felt there was a good chance the same flooring (from Home Depot) could be found. There was some delay in completing the work as Roy and co. sought the same flooring. But they did indeed find it. Then the work was done in, I believe, four or five outings to our home. A few times we even gave the workers our garage code so they could come at their convenience and do the work. As some wood and trim work was required, the workers used our garage or driveway for the measuring and cutting. Each day they cleaned up thoroughly. The resulting flooring is not absolutely perfect only because at some borders with the original flooring there is the slightest wilting. That was our risk for not replacing the whole floor. But this is more of a recreation room for us, so it's not a big deal at all. The wall repair, meanwhile, was remarkable. You'd never know anything ever happened. They easily found matching paint, not even needing to use the leftover paint we had stored in the garage. Since only the bottom portion of some of the walls was damaged, I feared noticing a difference between original and new wall, but I can't tell at all. The new trim blends seamlessly with the original. I'm stunned every time I look at it. So it took a couple of weeks, but we got our room back the way it was. What I really liked about 911 is no matter what is damaged, they figure out how to fix it -- flooring, drywall, a piece of stud, trim -- whatever it is, they'll find a way to make it look like before. And with the new flooring, mold-resistant base layers are installed. Roy and co. are very conscientious about their work and the long-term effects. All in all, you can show them the problem, whatever it is, say please fix it, and they simply do.

Roy came to our home on Monday, November 16th during the time window promised. As I am extremely allergic to mold, I was really freaked out about the black mold exposed when the wallpaper was torn down. As a result, Roy got a terrific crew, Wayne and Caesar out to my home the very next day. They arrived exactly at 9am as promised. Wayne and Caesar worked tirelessly all day to completely protect my floors, seal off the room and then eradicate the mold. You won't find two more pleasant and hard working young men. Wayne also did some insulation work in the basement in the course of ensuring the mold didn't penetrate the subfloor and leak into our basement. His work was neat as a pin and I couldn't be more pleased. The gigantic fan that collects the mold spores remaining after the cleaning was collected today by Ronnie, who remembered all the details of his previous visit to my home. 911 Restoration will complete the work of replacing the drywall and baseboard once our new window is installed. One other item of note, as a woman home alone with workmen I don't know, it can often feel a little uncomfortable. The professionalism of the staff of 911 Restoration is terrific and I never felt any qualms about being home alone with workmen I hadn't met before. That is very important to me.

The request for an appointment was replied to promptly and the provider arrived as scheduled. I had scheduled several vendors in the home that day and sadly Comcast (who were late) and this company arrived at the same time. I requested that the vendor give me a minute to get one vendor set up so we could proceed uninterrupted. He seemed put out by the request and kept complaining that no one told him this would be such a big job -- even though I indicated in writing that it was for a 15 room house. The Comcast guy offered to start outside so we proceeded with the walkthrough. After walking though for 30 minutes and taking measurements, the rep advised me that I would have to pay $150 for the estimate because of the size of the job and the time/effort it would take to write the estimate. I told him I had no problem paying for the estimate but wasn't told about the costs when scheduling. We agreed to continue, though he continued to be very abrupt, repeating several times no one told him the job would be like this. Then after nearly an hour, he informed me that he couldn't provide an accurate quote until after he came back with his subcontractors and immediately stopped the walkthrough. Frankly, it seemed very odd since he had been there for a hour and never mentioned subcontractors while walking through the first 12 rooms. Since I don't currently live in the house being renovated, it would've required another 3 hour flight back to town, just for the estimate. I explained this in my initial appointment request prior to their coming out. In fairness, he did offer to come back within a few days if I could get someone to agree to open the door for them. While I definitely would want an accurate quote, it was a waste of my time to come out and not be able to provide a quote. I just didn't feel my business was wanted and the surprise fee for the quote makes me wary of contracting with them.

I purchased an Angie's list deal for mold tests and inspection. They had also done work for me to fix a wall and ceiling in my family that had a lot of water damage. They were very clean and thorough for both the mold testing and the wall and ceiling repair. Communication was very consistent and prompt, as well as courteous. I think they did a great job on making our family room look perfect after it had a lot of damage. I would highly recommend this company to others for mold testing, remediation, and general restoration work.

Ronnie and his crew are the nicest - polite - calmest people! They took care of EVERYTHING in such a professional way. They made me feel so comfortable and relaxed (even though I was extremely stressed bc the basement was destroyed). On Thursday when Ronnie came out, he diagnosed the situation, called his crew. 3 guys came over and tore out the carpet & padding, took it all away in their truck. They set up humidifiers that night! ON Friday his crew came out at 1 pm and finished up the job till 1130pm at night! WAYNE I have to say is the nicest hard working guy I have met. Ronnie's whole CREW is AWESOME! Because the water was sitting for a week or two, they had to remove all the base boards, and 2 ft of drywall from the base of the walls throughout the basement... Once all that construction was completed, they sanitized the whole basement and then set up blowers for 3 days making a cyclone affect with dehumidifiers in the basement. 911 Restoration works HARD, SMART, and are CLEAN as can be. They are professional, courteous, and polite. I would highly recommend them to anyone that has had a basement flood!

I really can't say enough positive things about 911 Restoration. We had spoken to several other companies, but knew we wanted to use 911 immediately for the remediation. Roy was our first contact with the company, and he came right out to look at the problem and discuss remediation solutions. He was incredibly calm and professional, and easy to reach whenever we needed him. He was very clear with us in breaking out the various costs associated with the job, and worked to make them as low as possible. When unexpected services arose, he would come out to the house, discuss them with us, let us know the new price, and present us with change orders to sign. Wayne and the team of workers who actually did the work were incredible. They were so polite and responsive to our concerns and questions. They went above and beyond to make sure that they covered the floors and carpets in surrounding areas so that there wouldn't be mess from their work area. They worked at our house for several weeks, and were always on time, and worked long, hard days. It was during some of the hottest days of summer, and they were in our attic in full protective gear working in incredible heat and stuffy conditions - I don't know how they do it. They really went above and beyond to make sure that they minimized impact on our day to day life in the house as they worked. I would highly recommend 911 to anyone.

We had them come out for a possible mold testing since we had a smell and some black lines coming through tile cracks. The inspector came out and told us it wasn't mold and it would't be worth it to test. So, instead of charging us for testing, they recommended we not pay for services and just got a free visual inspection. Clearly they were concerned with our best interest and not their own

I can't say enough good things about Ronne and his crew. My family and I returned home after a weekend away to find our basement under 6-12 inches of water. Our sump pump had failed and it was late, probably at least 10pm when we researched Angie's List and called 911 Restoration of Chicago. We really didn't expect much except an appointment for the following day, but Ronne showed up with a pump and a hose at around midnight or so and drained the basement. His crew was back two days later to begin cleanup. The cleanup crew was professional and efficient. The crew of four worked for about 14 hours straight to completely remove everything from the basement, tear up the carpet, decontaminate the nonorganic materials and dispose of the ruined organic trash.This was a big job, they had to remove the bottom two feet of drywall from the walls, take out all the insulation, and move everything that was salvageable to my garage. After everything was cleared out, they had to begin the long job of decontaminating the walls and floors. They were very conscientious about protecting the rest of our home and they were polite and responsive to our concerns. Ronne was there a few times to check on his crew and make sure my wife and I were satisfied. He stopped by several times over the next few days to check on the dehumidification process and to provide helpful advice. He is kind and warm and personable. He is a professional. I highly recommend 911 Restoration of Chicago!
