+ -1 moreLast year we had our home re-sided and realized the fifty year old entrance way and front yard definitely needed a face lift as well. We found a coupon offer on Angie's List for Lawncare Plus Design. We met with Maria Larios, LPD President/Designer and discussed our dilemma ,unsure of what we truly wanted. Maria came up with a fantastic design for our front yard and entrance way. The project was initiated and completed within two days. Mario Larios has the skill and talent to almost magically transform a mediocre front yard and entry into a lovely and inviting garden landscape/hardscape. She was present through most of the project and even hands-on with the planting and watering, as she supervised her hard-working crew. The job included removing all the old landscaping, preparing the soil, and planting new trees, shrubs, annuals,trimming two trees, and adding mulch. She savaged some plants and bricks from the front yard that were used in the back, and filled a large gaping hole on the back patio from an empty hot-tub installation seamlessly. The crew worked steadily during the hottest weather (99 degrees) throughout the entire two days making sure the new plants stayed healthy in the heat. We would highly recommend Lawncareplus design for anyone looking for landscape beautification at a very reasonable price from a very conscientious company owner, Maria Larios. We wish her company continued success.
Description of Work: Upgraded the exterior entrance to our home with hardscaping and plantings, and repaired backyard patio: DEMOLITION 1) Remove existing grass/vegetation for excavation of front patio and walk. 2) Repurpose any useful soil from excavations to re grade after patio completion and for garden beds. 3) Remove concrete walk for excavation and new walk and stoop per plan. Reuse any pavers to fill in back and redo step. HARDSCAPING OF PATIO, FRONT WALKWAY 1) Excavation of patio to necessary depth for installation of new base using grade ca/6 Gravel. Gravel will be compacted in 2-3 inch lifts to a total height of 5inches. Gravel will be misted with water after each compaction to insure maximum compaction and will extend 6 inches beyond edging of pavers to insure proper edge stability. 2) Installation and leveling of 1 inch of torpedo sand, angular cut and graded for proper drainage. 3) Laying of Full Range Natural Cleft Bluestone 4) Edging shall be cemented to hold bluestone together. 5) All hardscaping sloped and pitched 1 inch for every 6-10feet and away from house for proper water drainage. 6) Plant plantings as specified in plan and mulch all plantings after completion. LANDSCAPING 1) All landscaping beds cut per plan and amended with garden compost soil. 2) All evergreens 18” or larger 3) All ornamentals and trees 5’ or larger. 4) All deciduous shrubs and flowering bushes 24” or larger. 5) All perennials ½ gallon size or larger 6) Mulch all garden beds with Classic brown mulch.

+ -1 moreThe service was okay. She tried to do what she could, based on how much I paid, and I wasn't looking to increase the amount. I thought I would be getting a lot more for my buck. The price was on the higher side, but the quality was okay.
Description of Work: We had purchased a big deal for Lawncare Plus Design. The deal was for a very small area of the patio, and to do my patio was about 5 times the cost, and so we just ended up doing a little bit of it.

+ 2 moreLawncare Plus Design's Principal, Maria, was incredibly responsive, listened to what I wanted from the project, and provided expertise about how to implement my ideas for the space within budget. I called a number of companies, and Lawncare Plus Design was most prompt about returning my call, getting a consultation scheduled, providing me with an estimate, and getting the work done. The whole process was done in two weeks, which was fabulous. We're incredibly pleased with the work done by the team and have already recommended them to friends.
Description of Work: Landscape Plus Design installed a lovely, large patio with an "L" shaped seat wall in our backyard. They also tore out some ancient bushes and replanted existing garden beds, cut a new bed and installed borders around the beds. They tilled my garden and worked in compost to get it ready for the planting season.

+ -1 moreI thought it was a pretty good deal for $99. We got a whole blueprint map of proposal, which was nice. She didn’t necessarily listen to what we really wanted. She made some places that weren't really something that we had said we were interested in. The drawing itself is nice.

There was additional cost because my patio was a little bit bigger than the deal specified. We did not get a receipt and the sales lady did not even have a tape measure or anything. We did shop for pricing and the quality of work was excellent. The responsiveness was quick and the guys were very professional.

+ -1 moreI had purchase the $1399 Deal to have paver stone patio installed in the back yard. Working with Maria, I decided to expand from 10x20 space to cover the entire width of my garage. The additional price quoted was fair. Because I purchased the service in October 2013, the weather was changing and the window of opportunity to install was small. Nevertheless, Maria and her crew were able to install the patio within 3 days (1 day had rain). The crew arrived promptly, were courteous and were professional. Maria remained on site supervising the work. I am please with the patio and plan to use the company for future landscaping project.

+ -1 moreWaited for that for a long time, and when we finally met she showed me a picture out of a paver catalog and said that they could do something like that. At that point I understood that she had no idea what she was doing. My project was for hardscape, which they advertised they do. They may be perfectly acceptable for landscaping, I never discussed that with them.
Description of Work: After waiting for an appointment for weeks a landscape "designer" finally showed up and after I explained to her what I was looking to do, she took some measurements and told me that she will get back to me with a design and proposal.

I had misjudged the square footage of the project I wanted to do, and it would have cost substantially more than the deal amount. I do not want to spend that much on this particular project, so I decided to shelve the whole idea for now. As far as I can judge, this is a good company and they did nothing wrong. As a side note, I have bought several Big Deals, and all but one of them ended up costing more than just what I paid for the deal - a word to the wise.

My mother really wanted to keep the stone look so I kept contacting others for estimates. Maria came by to assess the work and was able to have the work done in a timely manner and for a reasonable price. We appreciate her responsiveness and her two-man crew were very professional. I will definitely keep their number close by for any additional work needed in the future.
Description of Work: Repaired my mother's stone front steps, walkway and house facade. It was all falling apart and becoming a hazard.

+ 0 moreI got a very brief design with no detail. I was told since it was discounted, I would only get the $99 worth... not the $500 design. That is not what was advertised. After meeting with the designer, she said that she woudl provide more detail, and in fact never got it. When I called to follow up,I was told her computer crashed and would have to get back to me. I never heard back from her. I planned to hire to implement a plan if it was done. I didn't get what I asked for , let alone ANY kind of plan that could be implemented.
Description of Work: I was supposed to receive a landscaping plan valued at $500 for $99.

+ 2 moreExcellent from start to finish in all respects. We are careful about selecting providers for work at our home and a recent Angie's List offer clued us in to Lawncare Plus Design. We had a big project that became even bigger (by our choice) after we realized the value we were receiving based on cost but more importantly on professional, attentive work. The new patio, driveway, and pathways (all created with Unilock brick pavers) combined add up to about 1150 sq. ft. Maria, the owner, was extremely professional as were all her workers: responsive, dependable, hard-working, and experienced at their jobs. They did great work all around. We love the look of the finished patio and driveway and we will certainly recommend Maria and her company to anyone who asks. They are a professional, fair, honest, and hard-working group. Thanks!

After about a week, I e-mailed the company and they forwarded the email that they had send earlier. + 2 moreMaria and her crew were in a word, perfect. She responded immediatly to my phone call and came out the next day to give me an estimate. Quoted me a fair price. Was out the followwing Sunday and completed the work in half a day. It looks and functions perfectly. The only question I had was, why didn't we do this sooner?! We were very pleased, and Landscape Plus will be my first call for any future landscape work.
