LPD+Architectural Stonescapes

As a new summer season begins, I once again am reminded how frustrated I still am with this job. Maria was hired to replace the concrete floor in the garage, put in a new asphalt driveway with brick edging and apron, put in a new stone and brick stoop and walk. The walkway is fine although the stoop is now pulling away from the house. This work was completed in 2015, so maybe that is the norm. Wouldn't know because Maria never returns phone calls or texts. Our biggest problem was the driveway. She told us she puts the brick in cement so the grass doesn't burn along the edge as it does with a metal edge. Well it doesn't burn because it can't grow. We cannot grow grass up to the bricks because there is a layer of concrete. We cannot chip the concrete away because the bricks loosen up. It looks terrible. Again after months of trying to contact Maria we received no response. Additionally, there is a dip in the asphalt where water collects and ices up in the winter. Again, no response. The cement floor in the garage was supposed to be painted after it cured. Never done and again no response. Initially we considered having Maria do a stone patio in the back but her lack of responsiveness to issues that arose ended that!

It's been 3.5 years, and the patio looks better than ever with landscaping. The paver edging has shifted about an inch in a couple areas, but that is easily filled with paver locking sand.

Maria and her team did an excellent job producing a quality, beautiful end result improving our curb appeal immensely. Her team worked extremely hard and were always a pleasure to have at the house, would hire Maria and the team again for futures projects/enhancements.

Overall, I'm extremely impressed with LPD+Architectural Stonescapes. Ninety percent of the work was very good the first time; for the remaining part that had some problems, they returned twice more and kept after it until it was done. The bluestone repair, patching up a great big hole, is invisible. If anything, it looks better now that before the excavation. And supervisor Maria Larios was on-site taking charge of the most of the actual work, which is really rare in my experience. Thank you for excellent results.

While it took quite a lot of effort on our part to finalize the colors, pattern, etc, once scheduled, the crew promptly showed up every morning on the job, worked with the village inspector to ensure the base and landing step construction met local codes and best practices (village required a deeper base than originally laid by the crew). They worked quickly and with as little disruption and as cleanly as can be expected. After the first winter, there was some settling along the house due to filling in a window well done by another contractor. I called Maria and she came out, took a look, and sent her crew out to re-lay the area and backfill to make things right at no additional cost. Overall, we are very happy with the end product and would recommend working with Maria and crew as long as you have a pretty decent idea of what you want in terms of design.

sI ended up awarding the contract to a competing vendor, but would definitely recommend Maria based on the interaction I had with her.

This was such a great deal! The designer really took our suggestions/ideas into consideration and came back with a comprehensive plan that we could implement ourselves. We've been gradually adding to our landscape over the past 3-4 years using this "master plan" as a guide. Minimal investment for maximum curb appeal and landscaping happiness! ?Highly recommend!

they came out the first time and only plowed room for one car in a 2.5 car driveway. They would not fix it and gave us a refund

Although it was a little tough to connect in the beginning (due to summer rush and holiday weekend), once Maria and I connected, things went very smoothly. She came to my house, measured and provided a quote in a very timely manner. I had to go through my HOA, and she was quite helpful. Providing the drawings and contacting J.U.L.I.E. as required by the HOA (and even coming out a second time to get additional details requested by the HOA). We had set a tentative installation date (pending HOA approval) and were lucky that the HOA approval was received in the nick of time and the weather held out. The crew showed up on time and worked tirelessly all day to complete the job. When they ran out of bricks, they went back out to buy more. Maria was there the entire time overseeing the work. At one point we had an issue with the level of the patio where the base of the steps and the side of the house were out of sync (huge downward slope). She noted the issue and provided a sound recommendation which I approved. At the end of the day, they cleaned up the entire area. They had carefully removed sod, mulch and some of my plants to install the brick patio and when they were done installing, they replaced the sod, mulch and even replanted my flowers. Impressive!! Everything washed up (even the handprints on the staircase) and clean. They were also very careful with the surrounding area. I live in a townhouse and they used wheel barrels to bring in all the materials. They were careful not to destroy any of the common area. This is a huge plus and greatly appreciated. Overall, it was a very positive experience and I highly recommend LDP. I love my new patio - even though it is small, it adds a whole new room for me outdoors. Wish I could add pictures, it turned out great!!

they did an excellent job the only problem was it didn't snow very often so it was a relatively expensive contract. that's the risk with a contract I guess.

Maria came out to give some initial ideas and cost estimates, worked with us on design/cost/schedule, and delivered a product we are very happy with. Her team was punctual and hard-working, taking care not to leave debris everywhere or trample flower beds.

It snowed, they came, they cleared. I count at least four times the snow was removed from driveway and sidewalks. The last time was for the foot and half on February 1. The last time I was out of town on vacation. When I returned I had a clean driveway and walk. They shovel and also use a snow thrower. I haven't seen a plow yet. They also arrive in a timely fashion. Caught them one morning around 7am just before wifey was off to work.

Too much time to write this all out.

The last time I heard from them was in August. She came out and while she was punctual (said she was going to draw up plans) I haven’t heard from her. I’ve sent at least two messages through Angie's List messaging and have not heard back from her.

Maria did a very nice design but we did not go with them for the service at the time. Scheduling went perfectly. She’s very knowledgeable with her plants. It was apparent that she could create something beautiful from the plan. It was a very comprehensive design.

The design was wonderful. She did not call back to follow-up however.

It turned out very well. Their work is very high quality. The owner, Maria, is very easy to work and she listens. Scheduling is easy with them.

It was difficult to get a hold of Maria and she wasn’t responsive. Also, they delivered the plants on a different day than they originally indicated. My gate is locked so they had to scale the six foot fence to get into the yard. Also, I had keys buried and they dug these up and couldn’t find them so I had to had to have the locks changed.

Everything went unbelievably well. Maria was always on-site and all the workers very extremely friendly, skilled, efficient, and detail oriented.

Lawncare Plus Design did an excellent job installing a new brick paver patio and laying new sod in my yard. Maria was very prompt, professional and friendly starting with the initial consultation all the way through the installation. Her quote was more than fair compared to some of the other contractors I had bid the process and she was able to start very quickly. Her crew worked very hard until the project was done to meet a deadline for a party we were to be hosting. I would without hesitation hire Maria to complete future projects

This is for seasonal snow removal. Provider promptly contacted me after I purchased Deal, and said he'd see me when it snows. Couldn't have been more pleased with their service. They showed up promptly and did a great job all winter long. They show up whenever it snows 2" or more, although I think they also showed up once or twice when the snow was not quite 2".

It was difficult to get it scheduled. Possibly because of the popularity, but also because the messaging and voice mail system did not seems to work as expected. We always left messages. Once we finally had it scheduled, it took a little while to get the design, but it was a good start. We liked the design, but as many things like this, certainly not their fault, visualizing a garden from a plan design is difficult. Ultimately, though it took longer than we expected, we appreciated the design and it offered a good value for the money. It was a good place to start. Unfortunately, because of the lack of examples (pictures, local properties) of completed execution of the designs, we decided to go with a diff landscaping firm. We ended up using the NEW landscaping design firm's plans instead.

Maria and her husband take great pride in their work. It is a pleasure working with them. We look forward to working with them in the future.
