Description of Work: Service was spotty. My daughter is disabled so I shoveled the front of the driveway leaving everything else for service. They drove by my house and saw the shoveled driveway and drove away even though the sidewalks and rest of driveway were covered with inches of snow. My neighbors walks were always shoveled well before mine was. I had to call for service and never got a human to answer. It's a good thing the Chicago winter was not too bad this year.

Description of Work: The fact is that the owner was very responsive, was prompt in arriving at our home to provide an estimate on a patio paver project that we wanted, and submitted a bid that was more than reasonable - especially when compared to other contractors. Please note the "services performed" was limited to the evaluation and estimate of the job. However, we wanted details about the installation so that we could make an informed decision upon how to proceed. We called the owner after considering other bids and had decided to go with this company - all we asked was for a more detailed proposal. She stated that she would provide one, but we never heard from her again. We tried to recontact, but we were trying to meet a deadline and decided to just move on. All the other contractors that we queried provided a written proposal along with a detailed plan. For some reason she did not. To her credit, she offered great ideas about the project, gave some indication on how long it would take to complete the project, and within that conversation we were more than sold on her company - especially given the other reviews submitted about the company on Angie's List. Since she submitted the best bid, she should have gotten the job.

Description of Work: This service, despite all the snow we had this winter, only came out 4 times. At the first snowfall it took them almost 3 days to appear, and they came only after I sent them a picture of my sidewalk out front to prove they hadn't been there after they said they had. During the biggest snowstorm it took them 24 hours to come, citing bad roads for their tardiness. I thought the agreement was they were to come numerous times to shovel snow as it accumulates, but they didn't and basically we were snowed in until they could come. If you advertise the previously mentioned, but don't have the crew power to deliver then you shouldn't advertise your services as such. Basically, we paid $600 for 4 visits, what a rip-off! Next year I will spend less and buy a snowblower and do it myself as my husband and myself are not supposed to lift heavy snow.

Description of Work: 2 great guys came with snow shovels.. they wanted to plow the patio, but I insisted that they NOT do it, since it is too cold. Such great people.

Description of Work: Hardscaping, removed concrete walkways and patio. installed new unilock pavers and gravel. It went well. It was quality work done quickly. Maria has a great eye for design.

Description of Work: Called Maria on Wednesday...discussed a few things I wanted done... She asked if I was free that day at 5 pm. We agreed to meet at my house to look at the possible scope of work....(Pavers and plantings). At 5:45 she called and said it was too late and she was not coming and we can reschedule. I do understand that people become tied up but I think it is common courtesy to call BEFORE you are suppose to arrive...not 45 min after you are SUPPOSE to be there and then decide gour not coming. That being said, against my better judgement, we did agree to reschedule. The next morning I called her to reschedule and she said she had a couple earlier appointments but agreed to meet at 3pm. At 3:15 pm she sent me a TEXT saying "Weather is too ugly today...lets reschedule". Once again, she should have had the courtesy to let me know earlier instead of 15 min after she was suppose to be here. It was raining on and off all day but at that particular time it was actually the best it had been all day...light and not raining. Unfortunately it appears to me that Maria was not interested in the job. I just would have preferred she let me know up front. I don't understand why she would think her time was more valuable than ours. For 2 days My husband made it a point to rearrange his work schedule to be here for the meetings along with me arranging my days around them. I feel this is very unprofessional. I noticeid apologies are common in her reviews however, I feel this is inexcuseable.

Description of Work: I made an appointment. She came out and we discussed the work I wanted done over a period of years beginning in the Fall (a couple of years ago). She was going to get back to me with a proposal. I followed up two times, never heard back. What I have notice is there seems to be a problem with distance which is never noted on the big deals. Take it back, recently I saw an offer with a surcharge if out of a certain area. I don't remember exact date, so had to guess since you require something.

Turned my ugly patio into a beautiful brick paver paradise Extremely professional and cleaned every speck of the job after completed!! Price was the best out of several vendors without any pressured type of sales. A+++++++
