Chris Booker Plumbing Repipes & Dryer Vents

First, Chris proactively called ahead and set up an appointment. He even scheduled at at our convenience which was early...6am. He cam on time and did the work as promised with no hassle. Very nice and clean. I will have him come back for my future plumbing needs.

When we were looking for a plumber to repipe our house this past summer we first obtained several estimates. Chris Booker's was easily the best. He did the tearout work that the other plumbers would not do and he was able to accomodate our needs so that we never went more than a few hours without water. The fact that the project was completed over a weekend was critical to our tight scheduling needs. Now we have excellent water pressure. The cost was very reasonable for the amount of work done.

While Chris was extremely nice and worked hard at resolving my issues, he was not successful in either the rodding or repairing the toilet so it was a less than satisfying experience.

Chris arrived exactly according to schedule, performed the inspection, cleaned the dryer vent and installed new a new flexible tube for the dryer vent. Very courteous and professional.

He came, did the job and left.

Chris did an excellent job! He is very knowledgeable; and did a very thorough cleaning of my dryer vents from front to back. In fact he even balanced my washer/dryer double stack; it now runs smoother and much more quiet. Also, Chris does plumbing. we got chris through an angie's list deal. he was to clean out dryer vent but i had additional work for him with two stopped up drains. he handled the stoppages quickly and well, not charging us for the second drain problem because it was fairly minor. he cleaned the vents thoroughly.

Chris was very prompt on coming over for the estimate. He came late on Friday which I appreciated. His price for the work in my opinion was very reasonable. He was able to come back first thing Monday morning to perform the work. The time he took matched his estimated price and he did a great job. Chris is fantastic. Needed plumber to fix drainage problem with garbage disposal. While working on this problem he discovered the main reason for the problem....a clogged drain stack to the basement. He had to come back on Saturday to replace this, he was here all day, he even made sure the pipe under the house was rodded out. Chris is probably one of the most honest dedicated, diligent working men, he didn't even take a break. He completed everything he said he would and more. He cleaned up everything too, you would never know he was here except that everything worked great!!! I will call Chris again for any and all of my plumbing needs, I would recomend him to everyone.

We didn't discover the pipe leak until a contractor opened the ceiling to replace the wallboard. That was a Friday morning, and Chris came out that afternoon after he completed the other work he had scheduled. He repaired the leak promptly and completely. This is the second time we've used Chris; the first was to clean our dryer vent. He is excellent in every way, and is our "go-to" specialist for plumbing and related work.

It went very well. He was a nice young man. He was very responsive and did a good job.

I spoke to Chris and told him about the leak that I already paid someone to come out and repair but didn't end up getting fixed. He came out same day (in the late hours of the evening) and fixed the problem. I told him he was my hero! He even advised me how to avoid this problem in the future, i.e. do not use cleaners that dissolve in the toilet and clean with each flush. At the risk of sounding very old, I have to say that Chris was a very polite young man. He is obviously a hard worker, very skilled and did a great job repairing my leaking toilet. I highly recommend Chris and wish him much success with his business.

I was so pleased with the work Chris Booker did in September 2012, I hired him to install new toilets in my residence in September 2013. He did an excellent job at a reasonable price. Chris is wonderful to work with and I would hire him again and recommend him to family and friends. He is conscientious and courteous.

Chris has been a great help since I was in negotiations for my new house. He came out originally to sign off on hte plumbing for the appraiser, and since has made multiple trips to my home to take a look piece by piece at no charge. He is very honest and lets me know when a job isn't necessary. He never pressured me to do any services I didn't want or ask for. I had him come out to inspect the drainage in the basement which had water seepage. He serviced the check valve and let me know I could rule out the plumbing as a source of the seepage. He also gave me valuable advice about the drain tile system, which I had to look into weeks after purchasing my new home. Chris also found out the shut off valve isn't working for the home, and helped me seek out a new one. Turns out it was buried and I had to have the water department come make an access point for the B box. His prices seem vey reasonable for the amount of work he is doing and he is also very clear, informative, and helpful with his work. As i mentioned he has made several trips into the city at no charge just to take a look at the job with me, even when I had to hire another contractor to do the work. I look forward to using his services in the future.

l initially called and left a message for Chris to discuss a whole house plumbing inspection. Chris was quick to return my call. Unfortunately, because of a schedule conflict I contacted another plumber and had him go through my home to diagnose issues my wife and I were having with water pressure and and extractor pump for the flood control system. The plumber informed me us we would need a whole home repipe and a new extractor pump - he promised an estimate in a few days. While I was waiting for the other estimate, I called Chris and asked whether he could provide an estimate on my much needed extractor pump replacement, and a repipe in my in my 1924 Chicago Bungalow. Chris arrived at my home after I got off of work and proceeded to inspect the premises. He was exhaustive and thorough - spending almost two hours going through the system --and providing helpful tips and possible solutions to my low flow issue, which would save me from a repipe altogether. However, after discussing it over with Chris I thought it best to get the repipe. So I asked Chris when he would be able to provide an estimate and his reply was shocking...now! Chris sat on my front porch and hammered out an estimate for the repipe and the extractor pump replacement. I agreed to have him come out and address the extractor pump, while I further considered the repipe with my wife. Chris replaced the extractor pump and provided the receipt and warranty information for the pump. When this guy is working he is all business and his focus is commendable. We then set up a date for the home repipe, which was scheduled for a weekend as Chris believed it would take at least two days to complete. He promised that the repipe would be completed by Sunday evening. Chris arrived on time, Saturday at 7am, and did not leave my home until 11pm. He then repeated this on Sunday! The repipe went smooth and Chris also installed fixtures, stop valves and a whole lot of other odds and ends for no additional charge. At no time did I feel he was in a rush as he would only move on to another section of the job when the other was perfect. In addition, I do not believe I ever saw him take a break - his work ethic is quite remarkable and rare. He is also attentive and was willing to answer every question I asked with depth and in terms I could understand. By Sunday night the repipe was complete and the low flow problem history. My wife is ecstatic about the work Chris performed and we will definately have him back to address other issues that he discovered. Chris is a throw back in the plumbing industry; he communicates well; does not try to sell you services you don't need; and is budget conscious - I will be sure to refer all my friends to him in the future.

After fixing the toilet, Chris rodded out pipes from sink going out 20 ft. When that did not stop the problem he came back a couple of days later with a longer rodder that went 60 ft. Chris did not charge for second trip even though he worked about two or three hours. When I asked him how much we owned him for the second visit, he said nothing as he felt that he should have solved the problem during his first visit to our house. I can't say too much about Chris. He arrived at our house when he said he would, his prices were fair and he is probably the most honest tradesperson that we have ever dealt with. We will definetely use him when ever we have a plumbing problem and we have already recommended him to our neighbors.

Chris showed up on time, did wyat was needed and performed the work in a timely fashion.

He was more than fair. He communicates well and is very knowledgeable. He responds very well and he fixes the problem the first time.

Chris was flexible to schedule on a weekend and arrived on time. I had a leaky basement toilet that was not seated properly and had caused water damage to the raised wood flooring. Without knowing the extent of the damage until removing the toilet, Chris was not able to give me an estimate for repairing the flooring ahead of time. He did a fantastic quality job on the floor and replaced a rusted collar using molten lead to seal it properly into place, and charged a more than fair price considering he spent 4+ hours working on it (in total he worked 6+ hours). He even performed a few complimentary jobs, including fixing a leaky shower head, flushing my water tank, and taping a broken exhaust pipe on it. Chris was very professional, personable, and excelled at knowledge and execution of the work.

He arrived on time, did a thorough job on the vent and the dryer, and left everything nicer than when he arrived.

He arrived right on time. He fixed a gas leak that he found and he also showed me where my outside water shut-off valve had been relocated.

Chris was very polite on the phone and offered to come out right away. It wasnt a good time for me, so he came the next day. He was right on time and prepared. He was through and explained what he was doing and why. He found a small issue with one of my bathroom sinks. He had the part and replaced it. He fixed the slow drain in my tub, and it's running perfectly. He flushed my water heater and it seems to be working better than ever. I will have him out again.
