Description of Work: Provided service 14 days pryor to expiration of contract. Found dead mouse in capasiter. replaced capasiter. Item is refrigerator. Neat courtios service.

Description of Work: I ordered a hot water heater and I liked the product and it seemed like the price was pretty good. Someone came out first to make sure they could put it in and they said they could. The guy brought it out and then he said he needed to call to make sure he could put it in without a permit. I told them to take it with him. I called them to voice my frustrations and then the lady there said I didn’t need a permit. They rescheduled and did come and but it in. They did take money off the project. They are normally pretty decided to deal with. I would probably use them again if I need to.

Description of Work: I was looking for new stereo and surround sound equipment my house was hit by lighting and most components were destroyed .I was followed by the sales person I felt like a stalker was watching my every move .I was asked 4 times can I help you etc I told him I just want to look watch and listen I would find him etc or have him paged if I was interested in something .I wanted to take my time and do this once I had a chance to rebuild my home theater and wanted to see and hear everything and narrow it down .I felt very uncomfortable and left I understand wanting to be helpful but he was over the top .

Description of Work: I bought a TV from them. Their price for the item was the best (most competitive). The delivery and set up were prompt and as promised. I have purchased things from them in the past and have always been very satisfied with them.

Description of Work: Here in Chicago the Heat and humid(sic) were so high, I decieded to get a window AC. I went to ABT and found a perfect one for my studio. The man who helped me took his time to talk with me. I found out that the one I saw advertised would have been $175.00. But he had another one,(also on sale) from the same manufacture, but was about $20.00 less.I'ne never had a window unit, and was worried that it would use up to much electricty. I've only had central AC all my life. So being 55 years old, I always heard that wall units would be too loud. After having my friend install the unit I found out that the unit was quiet and my elecxtric bill was not much higher.

Description of Work: I have purchased many items from Abt. I bought a Gas Grill , 5 T.V.'s ( over the years). I recently purchased a vacuum cleaner. I also have a home theater stero system from them.I never had a problem . Andthis goes back many years. The store is run in a very professional manner. Plus what I love isthat you can barter with them. I always ask ....." What can you do for me price wise". They ALWAYS lower the price. I love that about them. I have never paid the asking price and my relationship with them goes way back. I would HIGHLY recommend them to al.

Description of Work: Bought home theatre / audio / TV equipment and entertainment center from Abt. Salesman was really great - very knowledgeable and very nice to work with. We needed good advice on which types of systems we should consider, pros and cons of different types, etc. We would gladly return to Abt anytime as their customer service is outstanding.

Description of Work: We have bought many appliances and big to small electronic items from ABT through out the years. That despite the fact that among the last items we bought was a dishwahser which the installer failed to check to see if all the connecting joints were water proof, I can say that "they are extremely professional, knowledgeable, courteous and prompt in every thing they do." I wouldn't hesitate in continuing the vendor/vendee relationship.

Description of Work: After checking around for a Flat Screen Plasma TV, I went to ABT and got a GREAT deal on a 40" TV. They are very knowledgeable and just really nice!

Description of Work: Tech diagnosed need for new igniter, installed part & adjusted temperature. The price was in line with estimate of $147. plus parts for members. This was a better experience than I had 3 years ago having an igniter installed. I was charged $225 and the tech was there for about 15 minutes and did not check temperature.

Description of Work: No work performed. They only repair appliances purchased through Abt, they are not a general repair service (as the Angie's List entry suggests). If they are going to participate in Angie's List, they should make it very clear that they only service appliances purchased from them. Their entry is somewhat misleading.
