Abt Electronics

The repair person did call Saturday morning. But said he would instead arrive between 5 and 7 PM tonight. We explained the time window we had been given and he said there no guarantees as to what time a service person would show-up. He said ABT doesn't do that, even after we said we had been told he would be here between 8 and Noon. We don't blame him. So, we called ABT customer service who initially said there was nothing they could do. We explained our day was now wasted and insisted a Monday service appointment. At first they said they couldn't -- but after a few minutes they agreed to an appointment before Noon. My family has shopped at ABT for years and has never experienced such a poor customer experience and indifferent attitude. I rated the original purchase experience of these items as "A" on Angie's List. I would have expected to rate the service as high - but can't. We in the final stages of deciding to purchase a higher-end refrigerator and gas range. It would have been a no-brainer to purchase from ABT. Based on this service experience, we'll now have to think twice.

The company was very easy to deal with. They brought us out one dishwasher and installed it, we did not like it so they brought out another one and installed it without charging a second installation fee. They are knowledgeable and gave us a good price.

Historically I had really good experience this time around. The quality of the work was not there. They did not install the woofer correctly the first time. I took the car back and talked to the install manager and he saw that it had been installed wrong. He then had the problem taken care of.

It went very well. I have always had good experiences dealing with ABT, and this is no exception. They completed the install, but the TV was not working properly, so the technicians placed a call and had another one delivered and mounted the same day. Great service! The service cost more the estimate because they needed longer HDMI cables than they originally included in the quote, the price went up $80. Not a huge problem, but just an FYI.

We knew what we wanted before going to the store. It was the easiest transaction the sales person likely ever had. But he asked some great questions and confirmed our decision.

Sales process was very easy and it was handled professionally. Installation was also a good experience-drivers called at 7:30AM and advised they would be arriving between 11 and 1-they arrived shortly after noon and were done by 2:00 PM. Installers were professional, courteous and respectful of property while brining in new appliances and removing old.

I happened to notice that they had their hot water tanks on sale, I needed a new one, because mine was on it's last leg. ABT was good with their pricing and the courtesy of the sales people. If I could I would give them an A+, I would just because of the treatment the sales people give to their customers.

They are fabulous! They came out on a bad winter day and did the installation and gave me a great price! They did they job the way it is supposed to be done and I am extremely happy with them!! I can't say anything better about them!!

If you haven't ever been to Abt, go there. It's almost like a theme park. My kids get all psyched up if we mention the word "Abt" -- especially on a weekend. It's always an event, but on weekends there are things like chocolate chip cookies and bubble machines, which keep your kids happily occupied while you tour the amazing array of appliances and electronics. We've bought $10K worth of TV and stereo equipment and appliances from Abt in the last 5 years.... with not a single complaint. You can always make a deal (or at least FEEL like you've made a deal) with their salespeople, and you always feel like the salesperson actually knows what he or she is talking about when you have a question. As an example, my most recent experience was when my washer and dryer simultaneously conked out. I headed down to Abt the next morning. The salesman didn't try to oversell me, but he did point to a Maytag model which actually had more features than the one I'd wanted, at a lower price. He knew every feature, and knew which ones meant something and which ones didn't. Complete straight talk and good answers to all my questions. We completed the sale within a half-hour. Three days later, right on schedule, two very courteous men came in and installed the washer and dryer. They even allowed me extra time to clean behind the old units and replace some loose tiles back there. And they tolerated my two obnoxious dogs. Again, they were in and out within 45 minutes. Seamless. But that was no surprise, because that's ALWAYS the way it is with Abt. It is consistently great.

We went to the store, bought a washer and dryer, it was delivered, and they did a great job. The salesman steered us away from the most expensive products and that was appreciated.

We had purchased a wide screen (60") HD TV at a great price from ABT and loved it. We then went back for the receiver and speakers. Stephen Weiner was great. He is very knowledgeable and always provides a great price. Someone else tried to install the system but did a bad job. ABT sent one of their workers out who quickly fixed the problem and rewired the system. I should learn and just use ABT for everything!

Over all when great, the delivery crew was the best. Ask for better price, they are a little high on some things.

We walked into the store about 10 minutes after they opened on a Sunday morning and were done with our purchase in less than 1/2 an hour. We told the salesman what we wanted, he showed us 2 similar washers and dryers with the features we wanted and we were done. The sales people know the products. We also liked the fact that they deliver their products. I don't think they use contractors to deliver. This means much better delivery and set up.

They have an incredible facility and they are very well staffed. It always amazes me how such a young staff can perform so exceptionally. All of their employees really care about customer satisfaction.

They had decent prices. The first fridge had a scratch. They brought a second one no problem. The freezer has a scratch too, but they were as excited about replacing that. As long as it does not rust it is ok. It is in the basement. I've had it for a while now with no problem. I also was told that they would give a discount for multiple purchases, but they did not do that for me.

ABT is one of the few places that I will give all "A"s on these reports. They are fantastic. Good prices (and they will match competitors, if you ask), helpful salespeople and unbelievable installation. The installation is where they really stand out. They give you a two hour window, show up on time and do the trickiest installation without a complaint (second floor, tight closet - no problem). While I have not had a problem, others tell me that they will work hard to resolve any issue. If you can make it to the store (or at least call), you probably can get better pricing. In store specials are often not on the web and the salespeople seem to have discretion to knock a few bucks off.

Bought new clothes washer and clothes dryer and new dish washer. Sales person I worked was a pro. He was pleasant to work with and very knowledgeable. Answered all my questions. Offered a host of options based on my needs and price points. Delivery and installation very good. They arrived at the promised time. Delivery people very pleasant and professional.

They were helpful, they didn't push me to buy more then I needed. Their salespeople were just great and then their installers were great. They showed up on time and made sure the appliances worked before they left and they hauled away the old appliances. I've been using them for years and wouldn't use anyone else.

Abt is super crazy to shop at on the weekend, but the salespeople are very helpful once you find one that is not busy. We got a pretty good deal on an "old fashioned" type TV, and scheduled a delivery date. The delivery guys arrived on time, hauled away the old set, set up the new set and showed me how to work it. They were great. I would highly recommend this company.

Two parts to the story: 1)Sales: I had researched online what w/d I would consider purchasing and wanted the salesman's input and experience. The only one in my notes I knew I didn't want was the Whirlpool Duet, and the Bosch was at the top of my list. When I finally got a salesman, he didn't know anything about the Bosch (I knew more than he!), and he said he generally sells the Duet. Because we've worked with ABT so much, I still knew I wanted to buy them there, so with little input, I purchased the Bosch 500 series. 2)Service: As usual, the ABT guys were great. On time, professional, efficient. They got everything in and out quickly, and set up correctly. The service saved the rating on this one! I especially appreciate that ABT employees are the ones servicing and delivering, not subs.

The grill was delivered on time as promised. But it wasn't the one we ordered. When I called, I found the model we wanted had been discontinued (which is why they didn't have any two weeks earlier when we were in the store), and they had upgraded us to the next one for no extra charge! This is why my family has been doing business with these folks for at least 3 decades.

ABT Electronics is my first stop for appliance purchases. Prices are always reasonable, quality is extremely high and customer service is great. Installation services are timely and neat. I remodeled my mother's home, a condominium and a 3-flat, all with appliances from ABT electronics.

After checking prices online, I called Abt Electronics on Tuesday to order a new gas dryer to replace my broken one. The ordering process was painless, the customer service rep, Megan, was knowledgeable and polite, and the price was even lower than advertised online. I selected a Saturday PM delivery date (delivery was free) and paid about $50 for haul away of my old dryer and installation of new. The driver called me early on Saturday morning with a two hour window and arrived on time. They did a great job and were in and out in less than 1/2 an hour.

We were very pleased by their service because he fixed the problem and told us what was wrong and how he fixed it. He was very friendly and did the job quickly as well. The price was reasonable.

They were very prompt and did quick, quality work. They do not try to price gouge a person either and they clean up after themselves. We would recommend them.
