They came and took out the old dishwasher, and installed the new one. I also have an extended service contract with. I think their pricing is fair, and they have very reliable service technicians. They are thorough, they have been around for a long time, and they have a good service department. I was talking to my girlfriend about them delivering my dishwasher, and she said they were supposed to deliver her dishwasher and microwave, so we could consolidate the deliveries.

The salesman went out of his way to help and the delivery/setup people were completely helpful in defining space needs so that the countertop adjustments could be made and then were very careful when setting up the new stove. |My appliances come from Abt and I will continue to go to them when I need another appiance update.

The Bosch dishwasher was delivered and installed the next day. They also removed the old dishwasher. Everything went smoothly and I would recommend their services to others. The price was very fair for the product.

I took the microwave to ABT with the idea that I will need to replace it. I assumed the repair cost would exceed the purchase price. However, I needed to have paperwork to submit for an extended warranty claim so I decided to do it anyway. To my surprise, it turned out to be an inexpensive part that failed, which ABT promptly replaced. The ABT technician first called me to get my approval to continue the repair as they needed to order the part. They got the part in 1 day and had the microwave ready for pickup the next day. I knew exactly what the final cost was going to be so there were no surprises. As always, the staff at ABT was very professional and I had my microwave back in no time.

The technician was prompt and informative. He examined the problem and provided alternatives. He also advised us of the cost of a new stove top since the repair was going to be pricey. We did purchase a new stove top from ABT and the service was great. No complaints and they expedited our delivery due to the holidays.

Our first call to Abt came when we discovered our Viking microwave was not heating. It would turn on and run, but was quieter than normal and was not heating items that were inside. The first visit was on 9/24/2013. The technician came out and said there was a bad door switch and replaced it. All work was completed in less than an hour. The microwave worked fine for a couple of weeks when we began having more problems. When the door was opened or closed, it would throw the circuit breaker. This happened several times (first time this had ever happened since we'd had this unit), so we scheduled Abt to come back and take a look. As the follow up call was within 30 days, there was no charge for the labor on the second visit. On the second visit, which took several weeks to schedule due to availability (10/22/2013), the tech said he couldn't determine which door switch was bad (there are 4 total), so all would need to be replaced. In the course of testing the unit, the fuse blew as well, so needed to be replaced. They said they would order the parts and return to install everything. The third and final visit occurred on 11/8/2013. The same tech from the second visit arrived, replaced all four door switches and the microwave fuse. He tested the unit several times and all seemed to be working correctly. The microwave worked for about a week when both the circuit and fuse blew again. With the exception of one customer service rep I spoke with about a question on charges, who was rather rude and short with me when asking one quick question, the Abt team was professional and easy to reach. All of the technicians arrived within the window they had given me and were pleasant and professional onsite. Obviously, they failed to completely fix the issue, so we're really back at square one over 2 months and $200+ dollars later. As not all repair services have parts for/will fix Viking appliances, we were hopeful Abt would be our go-to appliance repair service, but unfortunately that will not be the case. We will likely not use them again based on this experience.

We bought an expensive micro-wave/convection oven/exhaust hood (and a stove we hate, but that's another story). The exhaust doesn't work. They set up a service appointment about a week away and sent one guy. He determined that it didn't work, but needed two guys to take the hood down and fix the problem, which he said was probably shoddy installation (it was installed by Abt). We made another appointment--another week away. The appointed day came, we didn't get a call, we called them and although they had given us the date of 11/15, they scheduled it for 11/16, so we waited another day--they were supposed to be here between 12:00 and 2:00. At 2:00 we called Abt, they couldn't get in touch with the repairmen because they weren't answering their phone--Abt kept saying "they." A guy got here at 2:15, took a look at it and said it would take two guys to get it down. We said we knew thatt, why did they only send one guy the second time? He didn't know. We are now rescheduled for the third time and they can't get here until Thursday 11/21--almost another week. We thought we were getting the best buying from Abt. We were very wrong and will never bother them again. We haven't been this disappointed in a repair service since we lived in Albuquerque, where no one does anything right the first time and they never appear on time or with the right tools. Abt is apparently taking lessons from New Mexican appliance repairmen. Be forewarned--they might have great selection and decent prices, but they are absolutely lousy when the stuff they sell doesn't work.

there seemed to be some confusion with the delivery of the dryer. It took a couple calls to get it straightened out. when it did get delivered they were professional and placed the machine where I asked them to . didn't use it for a couple days and when I did, I found out that the gas had not been turned on, therefore an other appt needed.

The technician was very professional and knowledgeable. Since I am a new homeowner, I learned a lot from him while he was servicing and inspecting the unit.

I called the ABT repair center because our oven was not heating up. I called on a Thursday and they could not schedule a repair until the next Friday (8 days later). So we were without an oven for a long period of time waiting for this simple repair. This was quite annoying. The repair technician Robert arrived at our house 15 minutes before the scheduled service window of 3 to 5 pm. This was definitely positive as he arrived about the time we expected. I came upstairs just after the technician arrived. I informed him that there were some screws in a bag that I had removed previously when troubleshooting the problem. He replied "Yeah" and then looked away from me without saying another word. I felt this was somewhat rude and I would have expected a technician from ABT to be at least somewhat friendly to a customer who had purchased from them in the past. But perhaps he had had a long day, who knows. Now for the cost aspect of this repair visit. We were quoted a flat rate of $149 for the service call including all labor. Parts would be "extra". Ok fine. It took him exactly 32 minutes to replace the oven igniter part and clean one top burner. Since I had already disassembled most of the parts before he arrived, that saved him a lot of time. So I can't really complain about that. However, what I can complain about is the profit markup on the "oven igniter" part. We were charged $114.98 for the igniter. I researched the retail price of this igniter on-line and I found it for $83.54. In other words, ABT made a 37.6% profit on that one part. This seems excessive to me and a bit of price gouging on their part. I can see why parts are "extra". You may want to call other repair shops that have an hourly rate rather than pay this $149 flat rate depending on the extent of the repairs that you think you might need. Since ABT was already charging $149 just to come out and do the work, I would expect not to pay such a hefty markup on their parts. Update: On Monday, October 14, following the service call on 10/11/13, I received a voice-mail from Bernadine at ABT stating that she had read this Angie's List review. She also stated that ABT was going to cut me a check for the difference in price ($31.44) on the part charge mentioned above in the review. Well, it is now 10/21/13 and I never received that check from ABT. I would have expected that check a full week later. Of course it could just be the US Postal Service fault here somehow and if the check arrives tomorrow then I will come back to this site and record that fact. I appreciated the call and rebate promised from ABT but so far it has not arrived at my home. If it's not here by this coming Friday then I will let your readers know that as well. Final Update: ABT credited my bank account on 10/29/13 for $34.19. This took 18 days but ABT did follow through and refund the price difference on the oven part.

I am so disappointed , as I have heard nothing but good things about Abt. Every interaction I have had since the original purchase of our appliances has been a problem. My strong impression based on the number of problems I experienced is that communication between the Custom Kitchen office and the installers is non-existent. I have taken the morning off from work (for the third time) today only to find that they couldn't come till the afternoon. This is no way to run a business, and I won't be back.

As always, the ABT salesperson was very helpful. There was a 1 year ifit subscription with my treadmill that I found out after the purchase. Once I contacted the salesperson, for additional info. on how to set it up, they were very quick in getting me the info. I needed.

They ended up advising that it was not worth fixing. They waived the service call based on purchasing a new dryer from them.

This admittedly was not a major task. Howver, the sales staff at the store were extremely helpful, even for a relatively low sticker item. The grill was delivered promptly and as scheduled. I live on the 8th floor and while I greeted them on the first floor dock and was ready to take the barbaque up to my unit myself, they insisted on taking it up to and into my unit. Everything done as it was supposed to be.

ABT service is very good overall. The repair people they send are always polite and professional and do a great job. This was a follow up service to a dryer repair, so it was a special discounted price for being done within 30 days of the first repair. Two service men showed up to do the job and they were able to complete it in about 30 minutes and they did an excellent job. The only thing that was wrong was that they came later than the time they said they would be here, which was a problem for us as we had to be somewhere. Usually ABT is very prompt and this was the first time they were ever late. Otherwise I have no complaints and like the company and service department very much.

My experience with them has been excellent and I have used them a number of times over the years. Their pricing is fair and they come out when they are supposed to and get the job done. They keeping moving to bigger and bigger stores but I still stick with them.

They charged to come out and look, and then we had to pay for the part. They came out and diagnosed the problem and they fixed it. The light in the hood was off and they fixed that. They did an excellent job, they are the only company, in the Chicagoland area that handle, a wide variety of appliances, domestic and foreign. If you have a professional grade oven, it is hard to find someone who can fix it, a lot of companies deal with standard grade ovens. I think their prices are expensive, they charge for the initial call, but they don't charge for the follow up.

I did my research on dishwashers using Consumer Reports. My family & I went to the store (which is awesome, especially for us techies.) The dishwasher I was originally looking for was not out for display (although they had a decent selection out.) We looked around & compared for a bit, when the salesperson showed us a Bosch that was out on the floor. It had the features we were looking for, plus the salesperson allowed us to purchase the very unit that was out on the floor (making for a VERY nice price!) The delivery team arrived on time (I think we were the first stop of the day.) Since this is my first dishwasher, the cabinetry needed to be cut, as well as tapping into the plumbing & electrical. This was all done in a clear & efficient manner. It didn't take them long to get it installed & tested. I am so glad that I went with Abt!

Because we have space efficient apartments, it is a challenge to find appliances that fit and are trustworthy...We have used ABT now for about 7 years with great satisfaction..They are professional, considerate, and help us find what we need at a price we can afford. We compare shop first, but ABT is always there for us and does what we need at a great price. Our new Maytag Washing machine is perfect and in spite of needing to carry it up a really long flight of stairs they maneuvered it perfectly without damaging the wall, the stairs, or the machine! We usually ask for Steve Pawlak but if he is not available, the others are always very nice too and cover our need.
