"Jeff Ritter, Machesney Park, IL claims to be the owner of Raintree Seamless Gutters, yet I hear the name Steve Lizer associated here, also? Not sure. Anyhow about 6 years ago, Ritter and his sons put up all new gutters for me, late summer of 2016. In the spring, one of the corners was POURING water, during a bad rainstorm. The gutters were 6 months old. Have had problems with LEAKING gutters ever since. I call him back every year to come and fix them. He claims "he doesn't know why" they keep leaking? Really? Then, maybe you should be in another trade, because I bought new gutters so they wouldn't leak anymore! A couple years, he never showed up to fix them, because it rained too much, then got cold, etc. so many excuses. I have records of text messages to him, as well as emails, with videos showing the water leaking from several of the corners. He did come and replace the 6 corners in 2019, but guess what? They STILL leak! I called him in 2021 to come fix and no response, ever! I went up there myself with gutter goop to try and fix this ridiculous problem: leaking gutters! Don't waste your time and/or money hiring this guy."

For 18 years I was an Outside Sales Representative for nearly all aspects for the building industry. Part of my success was the understanding of how these products worked, were installed and repaired. I have been servicing, repairing and installing every aspect of a home and yard for as long as I can remember. I will work with every customer to meet their needs for their project. Pricing is always fair and negotiable. Since I have sold most everything we would need for your project, I can also help you get the materials at a great price.

"My mother had purchased her blinds about 25 years ago from Eddie Z's so this past week she called them to get a price possibly have someone come measure etc & was told that there isn't a representative for her area??? 1st of all she lives in the 20th St & Broadway area of Rockford IL 61104 area code last I checked people still have jobs money homes in this area. I think it is poor business that she was basically dismissed because of where she lives & quite frankly she has just as much money as someone who lives on Perryville & State. Even if someone decided to come do this for her I wouldn't allow it, you made her feel as if her money & her home wasn't good enough for your business. I think that someone needs to check whomever does your Rockford area business because it's a sad day when someone is denied basically because of where they live. I give no stars to this business & will NEVER recommend them to anyone in fact I will surely let anyone who ever thinks of calling you just what type of people you really are"

Window services FAQs

If you have a problem with your window, such as broken glass, minor leaks, or a problem with your window being stuck, repairing the broken part might be a cheaper option than replacing the entire window. However, if you have a deteriorating window frame or major leaks, buying a new window will be the better long-term solution.

Window replacement can become costly, especially if you’re replacing your whole home. There are a few steps you can take to help save money on the bottom cost while still giving your windows a facelift.

  • Replace multiple windows at once to bundle your purchase

  • Inquire about discounts, coupons, or special offers

  • Consider window repair as soon as you see damage to help prevent the need for replacement

  • Maintain your windows often by inspecting your windows for drafts, leaks, and cracks

There are certain window repairs that are cost-effective to DIY and relatively simple for homeowners to tackle themselves. Tasks like replacing a screen, replacing a lock, or sealing a window are typically under $30 and take minimal time to do yourself. However, if you need to replace your window or repair a broken double pane, it’s best to call in a professional window replacement installer to lend a hand. Replacing the majority or all of the windows in your home is a time consuming job and best left to a professional.

Window replacement costs between $180 and $410 per window, or an average of $280 per window. However, your specific replacement job could cost as little as $100 or as much as $750. Factors such as frame material, the number of windows you need, and the type of glass you order all impact the overall cost. For example, simple double-glazed windows will cost $3 to $6 per square foot, but the stronger tempered glass ranges from $12 to $14 per square foot.

The time it takes to replace a window is a total of four to 15 weeks. This time includes your initial consultation, appointments for measuring, as well as ordering and manufacturing your windows. For a smaller job, you can expect the total timeline to be on the shorter end, but for a whole house window replacement, it might take longer (or be split into multiple install appointments). Once your windows are created and ready to be installed, your window installer will take 30 to 60 minutes per window to install.
