they did all seven windows and everything else in approximately six hours or less. I was surprised it being below 20 outside it only got down to like 63 inside while they were taking old windows out and putting new ones in before the insullation and capping was done...within a few hours after they left it got up to 68 in here...not bad for just having space heaters so if you have regular heat even better...I highly recommend them and plan to use them again when I am able to get my back porch windows done...have to save up some more money for that job. When they came out in October to give me the estimate and measure the windows they said they should be able to do it sometime in December but it depends on weather that stops them sometimes rain,snow, too cold,etc...they were able to do it on January 20 and would have done it a week earlier if I didn't have an eye doctor appointment scheduled so pretty close to their guessed time frame...within a few weeks which weather conditions are out of their control so I think that is pretty good. I highly recommend them and plan to use them again for my porch windows

After obtaining multiple bids (Four Seasons, Feldco, Best Windows) to replace our 9 windows, we decided to go with Brookside Home Improvement. Four Seasons and Feldco were more expensive and Best was about the same but we thought Eric with Brookside seemed the nicest and gave us less of a hard sell than the others. Eric was quick to respond to our bid request and showed up on time to do the measurements and discuss the project. We decided to purchase the Big Deal for five R5 triple-paned windows for $2399. Since we needed 9 windows and the Big Deal was for 5, Eric prorated the deal to cover the 9 windows we needed. It took about 4 or 5 weeks to order the windows and Eric scheduled an install soon after the windows arrived. The install crew arrived on time and had all of the windows installed in just a few hours. Cleanup was excellent with barely a sign that they were there except for our gleaming new windows. The new vinyl wndows are sturdy, look great and have definitely improved the energy efficiency of our house. My wife works from home and used to require a space heater in her office to get through the day, but no longer requires one since we replaced the old, drafty windows. We have had the windows for nearly a year now, and everything is still functioning perfectly with no leaks or defects. If we need any more windows, I would gladly buy from Brookside again. Highly recommended.

Person who came out was professional but "just ok" on the services performed. He looked around and made a few suggestions, but enothing new than what I was expecting. He treated it like a regular quote and kept asking me what I wanted. I kept asking questions about types of windows, the best sizing and would get average responses like "yeah, you can do that." Afterwards, I was given a brochure and rough estimate of $500/window for replacement. I wasn't happy with paying $30 to get a general estimate.

I don't know why I bother getting bids from anyone other than Eric Peck, owner of Brookside Home Improvement in Forest Park, IL. Eric Peck is not only knowledgeable about all facets of home construction/remodeling, but he always has the best teams of experts ready, who do exceptional work! I've had windows installed by this company as well. Everyone is friendly and honest which is difficult to find these days. However, if you want top shelf service by expert workmen who actually care about the quality of their work and are honest and friendly, look no further than Brookside Home Improvement and Eric Peck! A company is only as good as it's leader and Eric Peck is the best of the best!

It took awhile to schedule, but the team did a great job / very tidy. The windows look great! I had another contractor out the same day who also planned to hire them - they dud a great job.

They scheduled an appointment meant with me twice and cancelled twice. He left a message for a time but I had a previous appointment. I haven't heard from yet.

Fantastic job. It looks spectacular! He was very responsive getting back to me by phone (less than an hour after my inquiry). The windows he suggested are even better than I imagined and look great. The installation was smooth and took only a few hours. I am very please with the service and the results.

The service was great. Eric came out to make sure what we needed gutter-wise would fit within the specifications of the Angie's List deal they were offering. Before we decided to have the work done, Eric came out a second time to answer some questions we had and review a change to the original layout. We were contacted the day before the gutters were to be installed to let us know when they would be out. The installer showed up on time and was very professional. The gutters look great and, more importantly, work great! I would not hesitate to use Brookside in the future for any of the services they offer.

The day was very cold but I thought they did a excellent job of installing the windows. They showed me how to work the swing out feature because I have never had this before. One of the windows had some trim missing, the installers told me to call Brookside, they also let him know about it. He was going to come out the next day but the rep from the window company came out instead and he fixed the problem. Overall I am happy with the results.

Absolutely professional. Eric and Mark were punctual and responsive from first contact. We had multiple man crews everyday, promptly at 8am with full days work. They also worked Saturday's to move the project along. Payment was periodic per delivered stages of the work. Mark really worked with us and accommodated every request of expanded scope to the project. He had great ideas, and the finished product exceeded our expectations. Dust is an inevitable part of remodeling and they kept a clean workspace, while doing their best to minimize the dust with use of vacuum sanders, etc. The floor turned out wonderful, the upgraded cabinetry was very good value, and best of all we have clear views out of our new windows. It's very clear to us why this teams gets awards. They do it right!

They came and took measurements. We talked about what I wanted done. They left and said they would email a layout and estimated cost, which they did. I loved the layout, but the total cost exceeded $20,000. I originally budgeted around $15,000 for the job, as half of my kitchen was slightly over the 10x10' deal. After dividing original cost of $9,000 with overage, the amount came to $90 per sq.ft. So adding $2,000 to the $9,000, that was $11,000. But I was willing to go to $4,000-5,000 more. They felt they could not work with me on the lower figure, even though I would go with lesser quality. They did not reply after I gave them my estimated figures. NOTHING WAS BEING DONE TO THE OTHER SIDE OF MY KITCHEN OR THE FLOOR!!! However, they were very professional and courteous.

Overall I was very happy. I bought an Angie's deal of 5 windows for $2400, but then added 2 more. The difference between the old and new windows is huge!. I did have, however, 3 minor gripes. The installer came with a helper who walked into the house with his shoes on. The installer saw the shoes at the door and took his shoes off before going upstairs; the helper should have known that one day after a rainy day, his shoes would be too dirty to walk into a house. The second minor problem was that one of the windows had a broken handle. The installer saw it and reported to the dealer that the windows has to be replaced. I imagine that many installers would ignore something like that because it did not affect the function of the window. I also imagine that with many companies you may have to fight and argue to have them fix a problem. This installer however, reported it and the window was replaced 2 weeks later. We did not have to do anything, Actually, I think this incident shows that Brookside can definitely be trusted. And the last issue was also very minor, I expect the seller to provide the warranty papers before I ask. However, I had to call again and ask that he sends them. In summary, I think these gripes were very minor, I think Brookside will probably do whatever they can to prevent them. I would definitely buy from them again; I actually have many more windows toe replace, and I will not buy form anybody else.

Everything was done in a professional manner and with a commitment to great service and an excellent result. Thanks for such a wonderful job. I'd used them before and returned and the results -- both times -- were superb.

Eric was very prompt in returning all phone calls and messages. I had three companies come out and give me estimates and he was the only person that actually walked outside with me over a concern that I had with some of the sills. The other two companies were bigger national chains that sent sales reps out, the one actually went for the hard sell when he was leaving dropping the price a few thousand (quite the turn off, just give me the best price up front). The price Eric quotes was half that of the other companies and he is a local small business so I decided to go with him. I did the job in two parts, and there was a small issue with one of the windows that was installed in the first go round, but I contacted Eric and he sent out a service an the next day and took care of the issue. I was very happy with the install, and so far the windows have been an awesome upgrade from the original single pane the house had. We actually have been able to open the curtains every day so far this winter without worrying about the cold draft cooling the room down.

Eric was very responsive and provided a detailed cost estimate. The windows took a little bit longer than planned (due to the size), but were in within 7 weeks of the permit being issued. The installers were very clean and thorough. They used an extensive amount of caulking to ensure no leakage of air or water. I am very happy with the windows and had Eric come back to estimate a future project for me.

Brookside Improvement was fantastic from start to finish. The owner Eric met me for a quote and provided multiple window options. He had samples and was very knowledgeable. He understood my application and did not try to oversell. I eventually decided to upgrade my order to a triple pane glass system. Lead time was great and installation was smooth as could be. His workers were on time, efficient. courteous, and left the place cleaner than how they found it. Windows look great and time will tell how much money they save me. You can certainly feel the difference from the old single pane windows. I will be siding this home in the next five years and Eric and Brookside are at the top of my list for that job. Their quote was very competitive and I interviewed 3 other vendors.

Eric was very informative during the estimate and made some great suggestions that we did follow. We signed the contract on 9/3/2014 and we were to have the windows installed in 4 to 6 weeks from order. There were finally installed on 11/18/2014. The install crew were very professional and did a great job on the install, cleanup and explaining how the windows work. I would have like to have the job done when promised, but I guess things happen. Anyway, I will most likely use them again. Thank you

After getting several competitive estimates, we decided to use this company. Eric"s professionalism and courtesy was apparent. You might be able to get good windows at many places, but you have to feel that you are being treated fairly and honestly.Not only that, his installers were capable and worked very hard and got the job done in one day. As a senior I appreciated their help in taking down and replacing the window treatments.(Not everybody does this).They were thorough in cleaning up and hauling away all debris. We love our new windows. We notice the absence of cold drafts already,
