Another company had switched up some of the work that I had wanted done, but this company fixed that issue. Using them was well worth the cost. Their prices weren't the cheapest or the most expensive; they were somewhere in the middle.

Estimate and installation went great. I was not there for the installation because we don't live in the property yet, however, another contractor who was present at installation said Mr. Peck did very nice work. The custom made window was ready weeks ahead of schedule which means the job was done ahead of schedule; great perk. We thought the price was competitive and we paid exactly what was quoted. Very nice guy to work with; great personality.

Eric, the owner, was punctual and pleasant to work with. His crew was efficient, and while the areas in and around the garage and yard was highly cluttered with materials during the work period, they did a very good job of cleanup at the end of the workday.

A year ago, Brookside redid our roof, so we had already had a great experience with them, and we called them first when we were ready to get our porch repaired. We got a quick and competitive estimate. Eric warned us that his crew was backed up a bit, and it would be probably four weeks before they could do our job. In the end it took longer than this, which was not Brookside's fault; once they started, they worked very efficiently. The porch looks great now. We will certainly call Eric Peck the next time we need to have work done on our house.

This is the 2nd time we've used Brookside for window replacement. They've almost done our entire home at this point. Eric either answers the call directly or returns a message quickly. His estimates on time are fairly accurate, and his workman are fantastic. They are conscientious and meticulous when cleaning up. I have recommended Brookside to friends, and have no hesitation doing so again!

As soon as we called for an estimate, Eric Peck was at our house, notebook in hand. He asked lots of questions about our gutters and drew pictures of different drainage set-ups so that we would understand our options. His price was a little higher than the other companies we consulted, but the level of service (punctuality, attention to detail, quality work) he provides is worth the extra money. His roofing employees arrived by 7 a.m. and kept working until dark. They cleaned everything up each day and did their best not to harm our garden when they were tearing the shingles off the old roof. We will soon have Brookside rebuild our front steps and part of our porch. In our neighborhood, Brookside Home Improvement trucks are a common sight--one sign of the high regard people have for Eric and his work crew. We recommend them highly.

Eric was professional, patient and willing to address all questions and concerns while determine the quote. There were specific issues regarding porch windows that required additional carpentry work to allow for reinstallation of recessed shades. He came up with a solution which worked perfectly. He also made it easy to understand the energy tax credit procedure and paperwork. They measured twice. The actually window installers were fantastic. The lead installer took obvious pride in his work and was extremely careful and thorough in installing the windows. There was a lot of extra interior framing to be done since I was replacing storms and screens with new energy efficient windows. To alleviate my anxiousness about the additional carpentry work needed on the porch he did a complete window inside and out for me to see to make sure the shades would work properly when installed later before he want on to do the rest of the work in his own way. He suggested a change in caulk color which made complete sense and which I hadn't thought about before and he answered any questions I had along the way in a clear and polite way-even at the end of the hot day when he was tired and probably just wanted to go home. The windows are beautiful and work perfectly. The men were very neat, clean up was great and the windows actually came in about 2 weeks earlier than expected. As an older single woman contracting for this kind of work it was very rewarding to find someone who was not condescending, who had a contractor who really took pride in his work, and would work with me on my concerns. I had replaced other windows in my house over the years with other companies and each year for the past two years got bids to replace my porch windows. Each time the bid was either very high, the contractor did not want to deal with the additional carpentry work, or I had a condescending attitude from the contractor that made me feel uncomfortable. Working with Eric was great. I intend to use his company again as I continue remodeling projects in my home. Hopefully his other workers will be as able and pleasant as the window installers. If you need windows, try this company.

Requested an estimate on siding replacement on a house that I am in contract to purchase. He wanted to charge $250 (credited toward the job if we hired him) just to do the estimate. I understand that a number of contractors are attempting to do this and think they all need to be educated on the concept of the costs of doing business. This is a pretty significant expense and I'll be getting several bids before deciding on who to hire. This company will not be one of them.

I had called several companies for estimates to side the back side of our tri-level brick home. Eric was very affordable, but more importantly, found structural concerns that were hidden under older siding he was matching, brought it to our attention and it didn't break the bank. However, several of the other contractors gave me quotes without measuring and taking my concerns into consideration. Eric and his crew went ahead and removed the old siding completely and properly re-installed it to match evenly with the new siding --- a seamless, professional look was what became of a very mish-mosh job that we inherited when we bought our home several years ago. They were incredibly thorough, efficient and cleaned up after themselves for the 2-1/2 days it took start to finish. I hadn't expected the result we received and am more than satisfied with this company. In fact, I'm calling them tomorrow to give me a quote for some decking we are thinking of doing. I use Angie's List constantly, for home, work and in Seattle where we have a vacation home, and I always get great referrals as a result of my membership, and Brookside is just one example of it --- membership definitely has its rewards and Angie's List has been an integral part of my home/business projects for the past 9 years.!

The experience was good - Eric is prompt with returning calls. He came over and spoke with me and took measurements. The proposal was delivered a week or so later. However, we received a different proposal, which, though it was a little higher in cost, we felt it was a little more thorough and realistic.

Eric, the owner of the company, arrived punctually to give us an estimate on the work. He pointed out a few other problems with our fascia and older windows. He sent us an estimate the very next day and just asked us for a $50 deposit. Once the windows arrived he was quick to schedule the job. It took about 4 days for the workmen Bogdan and Daniel to do all the work. They worked efficiently to quickly install the windows room by room so the house didn't get too cold during the installation in the middle of winter. At the end of each day they cleaned up all the refuse. The windows and trim look fabulous inside and outside. It was a pleasure to work with Eric, Bogdan and Daniel on this job. They are consummate professionals, perfectionists in their work and very nice people.

Eric Pack returned our phone call promptly and came to our home to give us an estimate. He was very easy to talk to and , we feel, fair in his pricing. Two men arrived on the morning we agreed upon to install our windows. They were very nice and they did a wonderful job. They took away the old windows and cleaned up the area perfectly. We are very pleased with our windows and our entire experience with this company.

I came to know of them through Angie’s List. They were on schedule and on time. Eric was really nice to work with. They had done everything very fast, and I was really surprised at how quickly everything was done. They were just awesome.

Eric came out quickly when we noticed a leak in our roof to look at ways to fix the problem and to give us an estimate. We had a leak in one area and damage from ice damming in another. We had previously worked with him to replace the siding on our house and had a great experience working with his company. He suggested various options for fixing the problem and we decided to replace the current roof. As a second opinion we had another top rated Angie's List customer come out to look at the work - and they also provided a price for replacing the roof. The price from Brookside came in under this quote - as we expected. With that confirmed, and with the prior quality expereince we had, we decided to use Brookside for the work. Eric's crew was able to begin work earlier then they had expected, and they completed the job in two days. Everything was done well and cleaned up afterwards. They are a very professional group to deal with, and we will gladly use them again for future home improvement projects

Eric coached us and gave suggestions on colors and patterns on the siding. We choose clapboard-style siding and scallops in the gables. It took us a while to decide on colors. Once we decided Eric got the ball rolling. He got the proper permit from the village. The job went very well and was finished on time. Daily cleanup was thorough. The 2 men who worked on the job were on time every day and cleaned up after themselves. They did a great job with attention to detail including matching caulk to the color of the window ledges. These guys know their craft. The house looks much better than when we moved in. We have had lots of comments from our neighbors. Everyone including Eric did a great job.

The window had to be special ordered. They came out and measured for the window twice just to be sure for some things for the manufacturer. They installed it in one morning and they made sure to clean up very well. It was fabulous. I was very pleased with their work.

We only got a couple of quotes, but the price was about what we had expected. Eric was very professional in providing our quote and there was no high-pressure sales pitch. He also worked with us to get the product that would get us the highest possible energy efficiency tax write-off. The crew was terrific. They were quiet, friendly, and cleaned up completely at the end of every day. It was obvious that they wanted to do the job well instead of just quickly. When they uncovered surprises like a window that was just covered over with siding 30+ years ago (so that's why that room was always so drafty!) they handled it with no problem. In the 8 years we have lived here, we have replaced windows, roof, and gutters with other companies, but Brookside was easily the neatest and most careful. They barely touched the spring flowers and shrubs close to the house. We would recommend Brookside in a heartbeat.

It was a great experience. This is our first house, so we've never had the experience of trying to orchestrate a project like this before. Eric helped us every step of the way, speaking with me on an almost daily basis as my wife and I wavered back and forth on specifics. How many windows to replace? What color siding? Vinyl or fiber cement? Unfortunately, fiber cement siding was out of our price range, but Eric gladly wrote me a separate quote for that as well. I was consistently surprised at how patient he was with us, especially after we had all his color samples for what seemed like weeks! Plus I was calling him constantly to obsess over details. Once we finally decided on the specifics, the work went quickly and smoothly. The guys did an amazing job, and now our place looks better than I could have ever hoped. We decided to go with Brookside over the other companies we received quotes from for several reasons. First, our house is 100 years old. Eric explained to me when we met with him for the initial quote that he has a good deal of experience with older houses, and cited numerous examples. In fact, his own house is just a few blocks from mine, and I'd seen firsthand the work he'd done on it. It looks quite good. Also, he was genuinely interested in making sure we knew all the options we had available to us for this project, so that our end result would be something we'd be totally satisfied with. None of the other companies who gave us quotes mentioned anything about blown-in insulation, scallops/shakes, or any sort of decorative fascia. Eric knew that we wanted to go for a look that suited the age of the house, but also allowed for increased functionality. Anyway, it was a great experience and we'll definitely be working with them again.

I liked Eric's approach when we originally had the estimate.He was friendly,knowlegeable and not pushy.He went thru all the options with us.We had the workers come when we were home and all went well. About 5 years ago, the one window was foggy,but I just recently called Eric to look at it and replace it since I found the receipt.I had no idea whether he would charge or not,but figured it was worth it for him to see it and then go from there.Eric reviewed the problem,ordered the window and replaced it free of charge on a day convenient for us.It is great to know that someone stands behind their work/product even after10 years!

They came when scheduled and the job was to take 1 1/2 days. Prior to the second day, it rained again and they had put their roofing materials in the stairwell to my basement to keep them dry. No problem, except that it plugged the drain and I got water in my basement. I was pretty annoyed but willing to talk about how to fix it. Eric came out and was so nasty and aggressive in denying responsiblity that I was taken aback by his attitude. He took pictures and said that leaves had plugged the drain and that it was my fault. I said that we would work it out, and they completed the work. He then proceeded to hound me for payment--callling every day, when we had agreed that he would be paid one evening later that week when I got home from work and we could look at the roof together. He took to calling me several times a day, even using different numbers (I had saved both his office and cell numberss so I knew who he was). At the end of the next weekend--just 2-3 days after the time we had agreed earlier that final payment woudl be made, I called him and he was extremely rude and sarcastic on the phone. Again, I was shocked. I have thought on and off about writing a review (my first one), and with all the rain this week I was reminded to do so, even 6 months later. The roof repair has held without a leak.

Had checked Angie's List for companies that did insulation and this company was listed but when they were called they indicated that they did not do insulation.

Eric was responsive and explained everything from start to finish. He kept us informed along the way and was patient and with our occasional indecision. We knew we liked him after the estimate and when the price was comparable (and actually a bit less) to other quotes we received, it was an easy choice. Eric was willing to email or call us whenever we had a question and always got back to us the same day of our call/email. The crew was punctual, unobtrusive and the windows look great! Would highly recommend this company.
