+ -1 morePaul and his team are professional and thorough. They stuck with the project until it was complete, and they were available for troubleshooting while the process was occurring. They were accommodating with changes, and discussed each step with us. It took a little longer than expected, but the end product is excellent. My advice for anyone doing this is to only install what you are comfortable using. If you have never had a central A/V system before, there is a learning curve. But once they walked us through a few times, we became comfortable. I truly enjoy the convenience and variety that their system provides and recommend the investment.

He came the first time and mounted our two TV's but had to return to replace a mount that was not big/enough strong enough for the tv per his original suggestion. We also had larger cable boxes and it was difficult to get them to stay attached to the back of the TV but Paul worked it out for us. Overall good service although we were charged an additional $125 for labor and remount on the 2nd trip. I will make sure if we use Paul again to ensure all services are done on the first trip.

+ 1 moreThese guys were great. They told me in advance what they would do and did all of it with minimal disruption. The only thing needed at the end was repainting the small section of wall they had repaired. I would hire them again.
Description of Work: Installed and hung one flat screen TV with sound bar in living room; Installed second flat screen TV in bedroom. In living room, wired TV, VCR and sound bar to eliminate cords showing. Any damage to walls was repaired prior to leaving.

+ -1 moreOnce again, they did a terrific job, were very meticulous and completed the work efficiently. They are just the nicest and most professional guys you could find. Paul installed a new outdoor deck speaker system to be controlled through a universal remote he set up for me on the previous job for my indoor system. When I couldn't get the deck speakers to work, I texted Paul and he came right out (on a Sunday morning!) and showed me how to operate the additional zone speakers on the universal remote. It was just a simple menu thing that he solved in a couple of minutes -- but the fact that he would make time to come out on a Sunday morning and get this taken care of right away for me was truly above and beyond. I'll never use anyone else for acoustical work! They are absolutely the BEST and will drop everything to make sure you are happy with the system!
Description of Work: July 2015: After outstanding work done installing speaker systems in my family room and dining room I had Paul come back and install an outdoor speaker system on a double deck. He arrived promptly and installed the outdoor system with a control system in the family room so I could operate speakers for family room, dining room and deck independently.. March 2015: Called Acoustical Vision and they out promptly and gave estimate for installing new 46" TV in challenging space. Scheduled appointment and they showed up promptly. I supplied TV -- they anchored it securely on adjustable bracket, supplied me with a new Yamaha receiver to run everything through my surround sound system, dropped 2 additional flush mounted speakers in my dining room ceiling, supplied excellent universal remote and programed it to run everything -- Apple TV, Cable, CD, DVD. Outstanding job! Very meticulous -- moved furniture, covered carpet and vacuumed before they left! Paul and his crew are very professional, talented, friendly and great about answering questions if any come up after installation. I would absolutely use them again and highly recommend Acoustical Vision!

The ability to purchase electronics through them directly is also a big plus, streamlining the process significantly so you get exactly what you wanted. I plan on using them again with any new electronic purchases I desire, or any repairs that need to be done.
Description of Work: Used Acoustical Vision on two separate occasions. First, to purchase/mount/install 3 televisions, along with a setting up a speaker system in my new condo. Second time was at a different location to repair/rewire a speaker that wasn't functioning properly.

He then called me saying he was at my house about two hours before the rescheduled appointment when no one was home. He then rescheduled for later today, but he missed the appointment and didn’t call to say he wasn’t going to make it. He was also unresponsive and hard to get in contact with via phone.
Description of Work: I purchased a deal from them to wall-mount my TV and conceal cables including bracket and HDMI cable.

Description of Work: Acoustical Vision outfitted my new office space with a wireless, networked control system. I control all of the TV's satellite receivers and music in my office from one remote control. Most of the time we simply use our I-phone or I-pad to change channels or change the music selection. This makes a great impression on clients and visitors to our office. Paul also added Apple TV to all of my monitors as well so when clients come in for meetings I can wirelessly show my computer monitor on my 4k TV. Talk about state of the art! We also had Acoustical Vision come in and network our office PC's.

He correctly and efficiently hung a tv above a fireplace and buried all of the necessary cables behind the wall. The job was done right and for the right price. I would not hesitate to use Paul again in the future.

+ 1 moreI appreciate Paul's honesty. As another company, Electronics of Illinois, returned my voicemail left 2 days ago (before I called Paul), and still give me a quote $359 after hearing me told him about Paul's suggestion. So, obviously, Paul is a much better provider.
Description of Work: I was going to replace an old TV in my living room and run an in wall HDMI cable to replace to old RG6 and RGB cable. Paul came in to give a very honest, and professional advice. It was deemed that the work could be done with a HDMI converter (BTW, I found that HDMI wireless transmitter/receiver is even cooler and better), rathe than drill a hole in the wall and replace the old cable. And he did the estimation for free!

+ 2 morePaul and his assistant did an outstanding job of mounting the televisions, running the wiring, keeping the holes to a minimum and patching them perfectly. The cleanup after the job was also excellent. They made sure that the televisions worked as they should and also programmed the remotes for us and gave us a demo of the different functions of the television. In all, it was a thoroughly professional job by a man with a great company.
Description of Work: We contacted the owner, Paul Theriault, to have two televisions mounted in our new home. Paul came out to the house and reviewed what we wanted done. We wanted to mount one television in the corner of the master bedroom and the other over our fireplace. Paul was very confident that he could do it although he indicated that he would have to make some holes in the wall to bring power and cable above the fireplace and also to where we wanted the television in the bedroom. He said that he would keep the holes as small as possible and as low as possible until he had to bring the wires up the wall. He also indicated that they would patch the walls and they would be ready for touch up paint.

He installed the outlet without a hitch, and ran all wires behind the wall for a really great finished product. There were some strange corners to get around behind my wall that took a ton of extra finagling. He did it without any demand for extra money! I would never hesitate to recommend him in the future, and dont think there is any other choices for electronic installation in the Chicagoland area!

+ -1 morePaul can be a little hard to get in touch with, he's pretty busy. But the work he and his team did was great. We moved into a new home and there were speakers mounted on the walls but we wanted the recessed ceiling speakers to give a more seamless look. Paul and his team did a great job lining them up with the lights and they work great. He set up the receiver for us and its so easy to use with our ipads. They also mounted a tv above a fireplace and set up all the wiring in an unused cabinet on the other side of the wall. Paul provided good follow up with a minor issue we had after the team left. If we do additional wiring work in the house later, will definitely call Paul.

I had Paul come in and hook up my Bose system, TV and Apple TV & Apple Extreme to the current home setup. Turns out the existing speakers in the walls were blown and so Paul was able to come up with an alternative solution for the speakers. I would use Paul in the future for any of my TV/speaker needs.
