Trela Roofing and Remodeling

Overall good work from start to finish. I think that the company may be somewhat overwhelmed..I asked for an estimate for gutter replacement and a report for the scope of work completed but I never received either.

They are pretty good about coming out on time. I had them come out and give me an estimate. Their estimate missed out quite a few things, and the roof was one of them. I had a few more roofers come out since I wanted to get more estimates and everything that the gentleman from Trela said was really not what any of the other roofers said. I gave their estimate to a family friend and he told me that everything he is trying to sell you is not necessary. I asked the other roofers whether I needed those things and they said that it was not necessary on my small roof. I used them for insulating the attic and the guy called me on the day that he was supposed to come out and told me that the shipping hadn't come in and whether he could move the installation date. I said okay and he said that they would call before they came out to set up the time and they never did. I came home one day after work at 7 'o clock in the morning and they were standing at the front door. It was kind of embarrassing because I had things to move and I was very exhausted. They were very nice but they didn't call before they came. The people that came out were absolutely wonderful. They were quiet and clean and so very nice, and they were in and out in less than an hour. I would recommend them for insulation work. I would absolutely recommend their workers but not the estimate guy due to the overkill on the sales.

Trela’s representative was very nice and very prompt. They were quick; as soon as I made plans to do the work, they were there the next day. The workers that they sent out were very fast. They put the new roof on, and that was fine, but it turned out they put the roof over some rotten wood. They did not tell me, and I assume they didn’t tell Trela. The quality of the actual roof was good. About two months later, there was a windstorm, and a lot of the siding that they had connected the roof to blew off, so I contacted Trela. They quoted me a very high price, so I had it done by somebody else; I had the rotten wood replaced by another person. I was disappointed, and I would not use them again in the future.

I noticed their experience level. They were not pushy, they had options and started with baby steps to see what would work before getting into more expensive options.

I purchased the Angie's list deal and they sent someone to do the inspection a couple of days after the call, but when they called back to set the appointment the date concerned me because the fascia was pulling further away from the building each day that passed. They heard my concerned and stated they would do their best to get to me as soon as possible. They started and completed the job a few days earlier then stated and I'm very happy with service and work.

I had a positive experience with them. They were professional. They were nice.

It was a positive experience from start to finish to work with the Trela Team. Ryan, Rich, Bill, and Kevin are terrific ambassadors for the company. Our first contact was with Ryan, who quickly scheduled an appointment for our insulation/ventilation review. He arrived timely and went straight up into the attic. He shared his findings before he left our home on Friday and by the following Monday we had an estimate. On the insulation portion of the estimate, we were given 3 levels of insulation to choose from. He also isolated each component of the rest of the estimate so that we could decide which tasks we could afford to have done at this time. He was professional, extremely well-informed, respectful and unbelievably patient in dealing with my concerns and fears about the insulation aspect of the job. There was absolutely no pressure from Ryan to sign the contract. He honestly seemed to want us to be comfortable with what and how much we were doing. He answered all our questions no matter how many times I asked the same one! All of the work was completed within one day. All 3 team members arrived before schedule and were ready to begin work at the starting time. They introduced themselves and told us what portions of the job they would be doing. They were polite and very respectful of our home. They prepared the house very carefully to make sure that the insulation didn’t track into other areas of the house. Rich decided rather than putting the insulation blower through the house, he’d put it through one of the vents in the roof. We appreciated his ingenuity and thoughtfulness. Kevin and Bill started the day working on the ventilation. Much to all of our consternation, they found when they removed the existing eave vents that our builder only put a small starter opening in each of the vents, approximately 2” by 4”. The actual 4 x 12 openings had never been cut in any of the 23 vents. Kevin and Bill expressed that in good conscience they could not put new vent covers up over those small openings. When Ryan arrived, he approved them to cut the full openings with no additional charge to us. This is one of the finest examples of ethics, integrity, and good will towards customers we’ve been exposed to in a long, LONG time. It’s hard to express how much we appreciated Ryan and the team for this. They worked diligently throughout the day, cleaning up as they went. It was really a hot day for them to be up in the attic but they only took a short break or two during the whole day. When they were finished, they cleaned up and we didn’t find any stray insulation after they were gone. These guys are patient, polite, respectful and reassuring. It's hard to have one's home invaded but these folks made it nearly painless. Should we ever need any more roofing work done, they will be the only company we call.

They sent out a kid that didn’t even have a ladder to check out a second story window. He looked at the casing around it and stated he couldn’t do it, that they would only be able to replace the window. They wanted $1750 for the replacement. They also wanted an exorbitant cost for the trim in my living room. I feel that they’re just interested in bigger projects, despite specifying otherwise by phone. The estimator also kept brining up his ill will towards my HOA, which I felt was unprofessional.

They were a reputable company. They’ve been in business for a long time. The only thing that kind of bothered us was that, the gentleman didn’t get up on the roof and see or check it out. The estimate amount was pretty much the same as the other estimates. I would consider using their services again in the future.

They came out in a reasonable amount of time to give us an estimate. They talked about doing a second layer over the roof for $6000 as cheaper option. They also talked about doing $11,000 to tear off one layer one layer, and effectively rebuild the roof with architectural grade of shingles, and a layer to protect against inclimate weather. I thought the estimate was excellent. He started with low cost options first, which I thought was different from most people that come out to give an estimate. We are getting more estimates, but they are in the running.

I spent $2165 on that work. That job was great. They came out and did an estimate on different levels and what it would cost. They were timely. They cleaned up pretty well.

After checking the roof and electrical housing, they determined that there was no leak, and that the problem was related to condensation of room humidity. They would not charge us even for the service call, and simply asked that we consider using them again in the future, which of course we will. Exceptional service and integrity, highly recommended.

Nov. 1, 2010 - Mr. Bob Trela said he'd try to get someone out that same day and get us an estimate by the next day. Mr. Trela was true to his word. He got someone out quickly and we received the estimate as stated. Mr. Trela added pictures of the damage to let us know they had been to our house. The responsiveness and professionalism was definitely there. The pricing just happened to be the highest of our estimates so we did not end up using Trela Roofing and Remodeling. I would not rule him out for future jobs.

They were very punctual but they were just a little more expensive than everyone else. I did like the fact that they were very detailed. They gave me different options for different things I could use clearly, I had basically three different estimates in one. He seemed to be very knowledgeable they were just pretty pricey. They mailed back the quote to me. I thought they were pretty informative and would be good for someone who is willing to spend that much money.

This job went very well. Trela provided good communication from the estimation to completion. They were prompt, polite, and neat. I would definitely use this company again.

They arrived on time, did the work as scheduled, kept me informed and cleaned up the work area. Excellent workmanship.

I called June 5 after a heavy rain made me realize that leaks in my furnace chimney had developed, making the job an emergency. Trela came out the next day to give me an estimate. I received the written estimate on June 7. I advised them that the project would need to be completed by June 22, as I was leaving town on June 23. Ryan assured me that they could complete the job in my time frame as long as I decided soon. Even though we had a lot of rain after the date of my decision, they were able to fit me in on rainless days and complete the project on time. The crew was courteous, punctual, and very efficient. When the project was completed the site was extremely clean and all plants and bushes were totally intact. One lead roof vent pipe had not been capped due to a misunderstanding. They apologized and came within 6 hours to cap the pipe. Great experience.

They were there right away. Very prompt. There was some confusion on my part about the estimate but the owner worked through it all with me to my complete satisfaction.

I spent around $10000. They did a good job. I will use them again in the future.

It was a good experience. They were very professional, did the job in one day, and cleaned up after themselves. I have no complaints over the job they did.

They were very good. I had four estimates and they were the only ones that mentioned building a cricket by my fireplace, which is like a diversion for the water so it didn't run into the fireplace. I was impressed with that. My roof slopes towards the fireplace and I had explained that once we had water problems. It took them three days.

Just Wonderful!!! Again, the crew arrived a little EARLY! They explained the installation process, and went to work. They worked relentlessly until the job was completed. The blower noise wasn't bad at all. When they were done, they left without any trace that they were ever here! Our home is much quieter and the furnace doesn't run as often--or for as long as it used to. I'm sure we're already enjoying energy $aving$!

The price, for what they did, was excellent. The roof is brand new so I am still waiting to see if it leaks or not. It took them a little longer to complete than I thought, they said it would take about three weeks but it took longer. They were very punctual and professional.
