Trela Roofing and Remodeling

When I called to schedule, they explained that they were going to be busy due to the good response to the deal but that the fan would be installed within a few weeks. When they called me a few days later to schedule, I was not available on that day - no problem. (I did not need to be present to do the install since it is all done from the outside but I thought it would be good to be around - also, I was interested in how it worked!) They called again the next week to say that they would be doing installs that coming Saturday, would that work. They gave me a window of when they would be coming. Two guys arrived to do the install. The gentleman I spoke to was very nice and explained fully how the fan would be installed and that it would be fully sealed to prevent leaks. The work went very quickly. They subsequently mailed me my account statement and the fan warranty/info. I was very pleased and would definitely use Trela again.

I purchased the "BuyNow" deal for an attic fan for $425. I called during the week (Wednesday?) and spoke to someone about redeeming my deal. (Sorry; don't remember the name of the person I talked to.) That person set up the appointment for the follwing Saturday and gave me a 12pm to 5pm appointment window. He was pleasant and professional; he also had all my info that he needed for the installation from AngiesList. I was not home when they showed up but my wife said around it was around 1230pm. She said the person she spoke to was nice and that the installation would take about an hour. The fan was installed between two of our attic vents and on the NW corner of the roof; the best position for sunlight. I thought this was a good deal; we got our questions answered and they acted professionally in person and on the phone. I would use them again.

The story of the project is the same as I explained in my description of the services preformed. The only problem that I had is that the response to the offer was more than the company had anticipated. The result was that I had to wait a few months before they were able to get more of the vents in from the supplier. I had to call them back to schedule, rather than the company calling me when the vents arrived, as I would have preferred, and I would have done had I owned the company since I (the customer) had called only a few days after purchasing the special to initially get it installed. The result was that the hot days of summer were over and I did not/will not receive the full benefits of the vent until next summer. As far as the professionalism, the installers were courteous and professional, though I did find a few nails on my driveway afterwards which were not picked up. I was pleased overall, however.

There was a long lead time from the initial phone call to the work getting done, but I was informed of this before hand, so it wasn't anything annoying,. When the crew showed up, they did their work thoroughly, professionally and in about half a day.

Trela roofing had left a message in regards to setting upon installation date. When I returned the call, installation was scheduled for the same day. Installers were on time, they called to let me know they were on their way.

They gave me an appointment without knowing my availability. They did reschedule, but I did not appreciate them going on the roof prior to knocking on my door to let me know they were on my property. When I told them I did not appreciate them accessing my roof without first alerting me that they were on my property, I found the person on my roof insolent. I had expressed concern that they were on my roof and I did not know, which can be a liability for me; he replied I should not be on his ladder because that is his liability. If it is my preference, I would not contact them again.

Very professional and knowledgeable. Will definitely use again.

I needed gutter and soffit repair. They estimated the job, scheduled the work and completed the job efficiently and professionally. The workman completed the job better then promised and expected. One gutter had a small leak. They returned promptly and corrected the problem. I would use their services in the future. Gary M. Watland

Received a call a few days after I purchased the Angie's List Big Deal and was informed that the fans would be in in a couple of weeks. Once they were in, was scheduled at a convenience time. The workers were on time and completed the work quickly. The only minor issue is that the fan does not line up well with the hold for which they cut out. I don't think this will impact the functionality fo the fan, but cosmetically, it looks a little off. We have an unfinished attic, so this isn't a big deal, though.

It went pretty well. They were quick and responsive in getting this done.

Trela Roofing is very dependable. They call me 20 minutes before they arrive and got right to work. Both fans were installed within a hour or so. I have actually had them out again for another project.

They came, they climbed, they made a hole, they installed a fan and told me what to do when setting it. No muss, no fuss.

I appreciated the assessment of the gutters since I needed to know exactly what needed to be repaired and replaced. The basic maintenance they were able to do that morning was good too, since I don't have the ability to get up to the second story gutters. I'm giving them a C/incomplete at this time. I gave them good marks on a handwritten questionnaire that morning, but since then I have not been satisfied. The sealing they were supposed to do has been ineffective--we get the same drip of water from the gutter onto our front steps as we did before. I imagine Trela would respond in saying that the gutters need to be replaced anyway, which is true to an extent, but seeing the same puddle on the steps after a rain as I have in the past, I cannot say that I got $99 of value from their visit. I checked "would use them again" just to mean that I will consider their estimate for gutter replacement work, and nothing more at this point.

tenant advised leak in laundry room...I purchased the 'big deal' coupon for roofing for this company for $99...they did an assessment and stated the cause of the leak was molding around chimney was worn away and they would call back to set up a repair date...never called back, I had to call them (#1)...they came and did the work promising to provide before and after pictures...never got the pictures (which really did not show any work done as they only sent the after picture) until I called for them (#2) and which time they stated they 'don't get no money off of the coupon' (#3)...month later had a rainstorm and tenant advised the same leak appeared...called Trela...they did a second assessment and the man stated that upon the first assessment he saw loose shingles,etc. in the leak area and that also contributed to the leak...I asked why he did not tell me the first time and he indicated because it would not be covered in the coupon and that he did not want to argue with me, for what would I had done if he told me the whole story (#4)...I stated what any consumer does: get 2-3 more estimates..granted he apologized for not telling me at the first assessment what was totally causing the leak, but I really felt uncomfotable and disappointed with Trela's business style...they've since provided an estimate of $2000+, but I don't feel confident with them. Additionally, after receiving the 2000+ estimate another Angie List roofer provided an estimate of @200 and it listed things Trela indicated they completed for the $99 coupon.

I liked the results and would definitely recommend them to others.

A few days after I purchased an Angie?s List deal offering $200 of gutter repairs for $99 I called this company to set up an appointment. I told them that water was pooling in one spot so my gutter might have to be leveled.. After finding out that my roof was relativity new and that I did not need any additional work, I was told that they wanted to wait for the offer's purchase period to end before scheduling any appointments with anyone and that they would call me. I thought this to be somewhat odd but I agreed to wait for their call. About a month later they called me back. It was just after I responded to an Angie?s List follow up email asking me about my experience with this company where I told them of the delay. During this call the company representative asked once again about the extent of the work I needed. Upon finding out that I only needed a minor dip in my short gutter removed, I was told that this might be very difficult to do because I had a flat roof rather than one that was peaked. When I questioned why this was I was told that flat roofs were usually on industrial buildings and that the connections were different. Although I am far from an expert on roofs or gutters, I pointed out that in my experience, flat roofs were not that unusual on single family dwellings as well as on small apartment buildings and I did not understand why the gutter straps and any dips in the gutter were any more complex when the roof was flat rather than peaked. He than told me of complications that could occur when repairing gutters but still did not explain what the angle of the roof had to do with any of this. The end result is that he left me with the impression that taking the small dip out of my gutter might be impossible without risking major damage or requiring major work. He did offer to come out to take a look but said that there would be a charge for this. Rather than spending my $99 only to be told that removing the small dip would require major work, I decided to ask Angie?s List to refund my money. I decided that I can live with this problem until I need a new roof and than do everything at once. If he can?t handle flat roofs and / or does not want to deal with minor repairs, he should have just said so during the initial offer and avoiding wasting his time and mine. I would have rated him lower but I only suspect that the offer was only a lead in in an attempt to get larger jobs. If I was 100% sure I would have given him D's at best.

Painless process. Contact was initiated by the company once the coupon was purchased~ Installation plan was explained and executed as planned. Very knowledgeable staff and took the time necessary to explain why the installation should be executed in a given manner.

After some initial issues with scheduling, I was very satisfied with the repair service that I received. They were very accomodating and helpful. They even had to go to the store to get parts they didn't have. The also replaced a downspout that I didn't know was missing.

They were good, gave a prompt response to my call, came on time, and they did what looks like good quality work. They inspected other gutters for me to see if they needed screens on them and they didn't. They are a company I can trust and I feel like they were very honest with me because they were so high up I wouldn't have known. Their professionalism, friendliness, and promptness stands out to me.

Bought coupon for gutter work. Explained my problem to Robert Trela. He told me that the problem was not caused by damaged gutters and that gutter repair would not help me. As result of phone call, I cancelled the coupon. Robert could not have been nicer. I would contact him again for gutter or roof repair.

They were very profressional and friendly.
