We did seem to have a comically odd experience scheduling our appointments. Dates were selected, they got busy, we got busy, I talked to one rep and my husband talked to another. There were several reschedules based on Trela's workload, but they were always gracious. When we finally got it together, the work Trela did not only explained why we were still having issues after several attempts to repair a trouble spot (pictures showed gaps in the roofing, which two other companies had never noticed), but clearly resolved the problem. Again, pictures of the roof issue and the roof repair spoke volumes. (Nice to know we didn't have to climb up there to see for ourselves.) We feel lucky to have found a trustworthy roofing company through Angie's List. Trela was no pressure, always responsive, provided us with clear and comprehensive information, and did a great job fixing a few things that meant we won't need a new roof for a while. I would definitely look at calling them for any roofing questions or maintenance in the future, and they'd be at the top of my list for estimates on a new roof, if and when that's needed.

Trela were on time as scheduled. Not only did they clean the gutters on the house, but also added the garage for the same price. They were very professional and cleaned up after their work. I would definitely use this company again.

Good, they were right on time and did what they said they would do. they were on the roof so we didn't see what went on up there. took awhile to get roofing estimate but when it came it had apology for delay because post office kept returning to them. must have been address error. other than that they came and went quietly and efficiently.

Replaced gutters and dropped old gutters in the bushes in front of the house along with the other trash from the job. I would never recommend them based on the trash in the bushes very very unprofessional.

Upon arrival I asked the workman to please replace a misssing nail at the end of the garage gutter. I also told him about the 4ft. downspout in the back that was totally clogged as well as the other back downspout/gutter where water poured over the edge in heavy rains. After being there less than 20 minutes the workman knocked on my door to tell me they were finished. I wasn't surprised at their quickness because one worker was climbing up the roof before the other one rang the doorbell when they had arrived initially. He told me they had replaced some brackets on the garage gutter and had taken off the 4ft. downspout in order to clean it out. Before he reattached it, he cut the bottom back so it would flow better. I thanked him for exceeding the work I had requested. I asked for the result of the roof inspection and he said it was fine...just more wear on the south side. Before they left he gave me an Angie's List form so I could rate their work. I believe I gave high scores. Being Labor Day weekend, of course it rained! I was happy to see from the window that the 4ft. downspout was working and flowing through the gutters where it belonged. I assumed all was well. This has been a rather dry year but when it does rain it seems to pour heavily. Except for cutting the lawn I am not often out back...especially in a downpour! So it was a while (maybe 5 weeks) until I saw that the gutter in back at the end of the house would squirt out rain at all angles and cascade over the edge in heavy rains. Long story short, I did not submit my review until I was absolutely sure what the problem was. Besides, there had a been a family medical issue and frankly the gutters were nowhere on anyone's priority list. However, today (11/27/2012) I had someone check it out and find that the 2 elbows. the 3ft. section between them, and the top of the long downspout they flowed into were all completely clogged. There is no way this much built up and decomposed in just 3 months. I believe the workers neglected to clean it out when they were here. In fairness to Trela, I never did inform them of this issue...my bad...so they did not have an opportunity to address it. So I neither ask nor expect anything from them. I am submitting this review mostly because Angie keeps requesting it and also because reviews are crucial to the effectiveness of Angie's List. So please disregard the high marks I gave when there was no way of knowing the quality of work performed back in August. Overall I rate Trela Roofing & Remodeling as a C minus.

The reason it has taken so long to write the review was that I didn't feel I could say anything good about the product. What I will say is having an attic fan did not make my house any better than it was. It is still hot in the summer and cold in the winter. If I knew that before I had it done I would never have done it. Because of all of the other things I had to grade them on I gave him a "good" review.

They came to look at it, along with the roof (in general) and gave me a price to replace, more than $5K. Which was more than I paid for the initial install, which included construction and electrical. Anyway, that wasn't an option for me, so I restated that I just wanted the simple repair I'd purchased. When I called to tell them it was worse, they reminded me that they said it might not work. I understood that ? just didn't think it would get worse. Their guy was professional, spent time on the repair, and applied plenty of caulking. Unfortunately, whatever they did made things 10X worse. There was major leaking right away. Just the one rain ruined the plaster ? now, it's a major repair. As soon as it dried out, I (exterior) duct-taped a double thickess of clear tarp over the entire skylight. Knock wood, it's been fine for over a year. When I do replace it, I'll look elsewhere.

Overall, it was a great experience. They were very polite and willing to answer questions. The work was done timely.

The process from start to finish was professional and efficient.

The quote the company mailed out was very strange. There were two quotes included, covering the same work, but with wildly differing prices. There didn't seem to be any explanation for the discrepancy. We hired a different company.

Everything went well, from making the appointment, having someone come out to see what size fan we would need, to having the new fan installed. We are very pleased with result. We also asked for some estimates for other jobs we are thinking of having done and we received detailed estimates within a couple days.

The flashing applied to that certain area appears to have solved the problem. They were to have sent me an estimate to have that side of gutter rehung but I never received the estimation.

I got a phone call from Trela Roofing as soon as I placed the order and they were very good at keeping me informed about the installation date. Due to weather issues, the installation was postponed twice. In each instance someone called from Trela to let me know the installation was canceled due to rain. Once the crew from Trela showed up, it took them approximately 90 minutes to install both units. The work was done quickly and professionally. My wife was very happy with the quality of the work and the looks of the solar fans. If you ever wondered if getting a solar powered attic fan is a good ides, it is. Any home with a southern exposure or a roof that faces South is an ideal candidate to have these installed. I would not hesitate to use Trela Roofing in the future for this type of work.

They were wonderful. They recommended different options to fir our attic and home. They were quick with installation and friendly.

This the most pleasant experience I have had with any company. My husband wanted to be home when they came to do the inspection. Due to his work schedule they arrived early on that Friday morning so he would not miss work. They spoke with him about the roof and its condition. They spotted some places around the chimney that needed to be recaulked and did it. They did not push about purchasing a new roof or scare us with false facts. When it comes time to replace the roof they are definitely at the top of the list.

They did excellent work, from what I can tell the skylights are not leaking.

I purchased an Angie's List $99 service special. Trela came out promptly. They installed gutter covers and removed the debris. Prompt; polite; proffesional; and efficient.

The owner called to schedule an appointment for an estimate and measurements. He was a little late but was very considerate and called me to let me know before he arrived. The measurements were made and I was told that I would receive an email with 3 estimates with different prices and levels of insulation. He also recommended one in advance based on the amount of insulation I already had, which was the cheapest one. We did go with the middle estimate, which was more than we were told we needed. The crew arrived right on time and performed the work very quickly and professionally. We barely noticed they were even there. There was also no mess at all. I was told I would receive a bill in the mail and I did. It was an outstanding experience and I would definitely use them again.
