Trela Roofing and Remodeling

Trela Roofing and Remodeling came to my home and installed an attic fan and it has been cold since it was installed so I don't know how it works. I wish the terms of the deal were a little more clearly stated.

Purchased a Great Deal coupon. Got an estimate in writing. Within two weeks when the weather was good, Trela removed the old shingles and installed new shingles.

Coming home from work one day I was surprised to see a pool of water on my new kitchen floor and a 1x1ft section of my ceiling falling down. My 1950's house still had the original kitchen ceiling vent which must have been leaking during the Feb storm that passed through. Wanting to have this entire situation fixed while being hands off I contacted a few roofing companies, Trela Roofing being one of them. Ryan came out to do the estimate and he listened to what I wanted to do rather than offering a fix or workaround. Because of this and a reasonable price I hired him to do the work. The plan was to take out the original ceiling vent, duct work, exterior vent and replace it by using my microwave exhaust and installing new ductwork through the cabinet, into the attic and through the roof using a new vent. The crew did all this and put up new ceiling drywall, taped, and sanded within 2 days. Ryan's foreman and contractor did a great job and took their time to make sure the first time something was done it was done right. The quality and timeliness were impressive and allowed me to get back to work knowing that everything was done right. Definitely would hire Trela again.

From my own assessment, it seemed the water in the closet had to be coming from the roof, so I set out to find a company for repairs. Trela was my first call based on other reviews on Angie's list. Its so nice to have a overall superior experience to report!! From start to finish, I give Trela Roofing an "A." I received a prompt call back from Robert the company owner with a thorough discussion of my issue. I had an onsite assessment and estimate within four business days and a team on site within another ten days. WIth record rain this Spring season, roofing work is challenging to schedule and complete in wet or windy conditions. Trela did their best to schedule my job, given that I had an active leak. A reoccurence of the leak will be the ultimate test, but based on my iexperience with multiple contractors during and since the building of my home, the Trela team was knowledgeable, professional AND efficient. Once the team was on site, they offered a very understandable explanation of the planned repairs, as well as some additional observations about the likely contributing factors to the leak. I was very impressed with their willingness to make suggestions and not just accept a homeowner's request (aluminum door frame rather than a painted one), but they also looked beyond the scope of the immediate problem to perform some preventative maintenance (extra caulking in some other vulnerable roof areas). Clean-up was very complete, including vacuuming along their walking path inside my home. They even adjusted some minor hardware that was knocked askew during their work effort. I'm not able to comment on the competitiveness of their pricing as I didn't pursue other bids. While initially I had a little sticker shock, I feel good that I received top workmanship. Well done, Trela team!

Very well. They were prompt. Communicating and courteous. Even replaced sony shingles that had blown off for free.

I asked for an estimate and explained that we were in the week-long attorney review process of buying a house. The company waited almost 2 weeks before getting a quote to me (when I had been told it would be done in the next 3-4 days). Their quote was also 2.5x higher than the other two quotes we received...

I noticed water pouring over the roof, and behind my gutter instead of into it. Since We had Trela replace our roof last year and were happy with the work they did, I gave them a call. They came out the next day to take a look at it, and discovered that even though we have covered gutters, one of the downspouts was clogged. They removed the clog, and made sure that the water was draining correctly. They did this free of charge, and with a smile. I can't recommend them highly enough!

The experience was fine. We didn't go with them because they were $4000 above the next quote. They told us that we needed something that we didn't need.

, They called promptly to schedule a site visit, which was also timely. The visiting employee documented my concerns regarding the roof and pointed out issues I had not noticed. He discussed possible additional options and left to prepare a quote for the additional work. Trela prepared the quote promptly and I decided not to do the additional work. Trela scheduled the job (the original deal) and soon sent a three-man crew. I was pleased with their work and with the discussion with the crew after they had finished. I will get other quotes for the additional work they had proposed and will give Trela the job if their quote is reasonably close to the others. Trela clearly knows what they are doing.

Professional, competent and responsive throughout process. They offered to help us file a warranty claim since the prior roof failed early but alas they found that the shingle company had gone out of business. Helped us pick shingle color to match the old roof color made by the defunct company...perfect match. No surprises. After they left I could not count the right number of roof vents they were to install due to our complicated roof and the crew chief got back to me immediately to explain where they had been installed and why the location was chosen. Totally satisfied.

I got a quote from them and a brochure. The price was really high. We did not use them because of the price. They came in early June. It was professional and he presented everything fine. The quote was the highest estimate I had.

The job went off on schedule, without a hitch, and has saved us on heating bills since then.

I purchased the "deal" online. Trela Roofing called that same day and set up a time to come over and check out my attic. The gentleman that came to examine the space was very professional and kind. He expalined every thing he saw, and edcuated me on current home code for insulating attic spaces, as well as current government codes for energy savings. My attic is bigger than what the "deal" covered, so they gave me three different priced options based on how much insulation to be installed. I chose the middle option, which cost about $955. I guess I could have rented the equipment on my own from a hardware store and saved some money, but I wanted to have this taken care of quickly and professionally. The crew that did the installation was prompt, professional, and clean. They worked quickly and effeciently. Once they finished, the gentleman who originally gave me the estimate came back and reviewed the crew's work, which I really appreciated. I was very happy with the overall experience.

I am merely waiting to get the full estimate from Trela regarding the work that needs to be done correctly, the first time.

Trela's crew arrived on time. Reviewed the work order with me to make certain we had the same game plan. They were very polite and professional and truly cared about the condition of our house. They laid tarps on the carpeting to make certain they did not stain it with their equipment or shoes. The crew kept me apprised of their progress and offered me the opportunity to inspect their work along the way. They completed the Tyvek covering to separate the half attic from the balance of the attic and made sure that they sealed any openings. When they were completed they each thanked me for the opportunity to work for me and said they appreciated our business. Anything that they moved to bring in their equipment they returned to the same spot and you would have never known they were in my house. Great firm, great people and great work!

He came to look at area prior to service to ensure to have enough insulation. Showed up on time. Performed service timely; efficiently.

Trela Roofing contacted me within a couple of days after purchasing the coupon. Within a week or 2 the estimate was done as well as all the repairs. Everyone was professional and attentive and as far as I can tell the work was done well.

I called prior to purchasing the deal to get more information. Robert was very helpful in explaining about the fan and how the installation works. I would call them in the future if needed.

Knowing I needed to add insulation to my home, I purchased an Angie's big deal for insulation after I read the reviews of Trela by others on Angie's list. I was going to have them do the smaller of my two attics. I received a call from Trela within a hour of my on-line purchase. They came out right away to assess the job and also to give me an estimate for my larger attic. Due to travel, I was unable to have them out for almost two months, but when I called to schedule the work, they were quite accommodating and were able to schedule the job within a week. Two days before their arrival, I called them to change the job and asked them to do both attics. No problem. They arrived when scheduled and preceded their arrival with a phone call. The installers were quite professional, laid out tarps in the entire area they would be traveling and working under. They explained to me exactly what they were doing and wanted to make sure I understood everything. When completed, they asked me to review the work to see if I had any questions. They cleaned up throughly. Within a few hours of their departure, I received a call from Bob Trela wanted to make sure I was satisfied with the work, the crew and to see if I had any questions. Overall, a great experience. I wish all contractors worked this way (of course if all contractors did, no one would need Angie's)
