Trela Roofing and Remodeling

Ryan from Trela was great. He stopped by to inspect my attic for blown in insulation. Later, I had two other roofing companies come by to inspect my attic. Upon their inspections both roofing companies suggested that my attic is quite well insulated and there is nothing additional that could be done unless I really wanted to. I wish Trela had given me a similar advice. So I decided to not insulated it any more. But in general, I am still not unhappy with them because I didn't avail their service. At least I liked the fact that they were responsive to my phone call and they stopped by to inspect my attic space.

Very well, cleaned in & asked quick questions to be sure. We were gutting what we would trouble so much!

Ryan's crew left no stone unturned while doing the work. We've had problems with heat loss in all of the time that we've lived here, and with mold removal leaving half of our crawlspace devoid of insulation, it was time to insulate the crawlspace correctly. It's probably not textbook perfect, but it's close. They did their best to make the crawlspace airtight to the house, including down the length of the joists. The batt installation looked complete. They hung insulation in the garage on the outside of the crawlspace, then staled Tyvek to try to make that vapor tight as well. So far, so good, although we need a full winter to tell how well it works. But Ryan was the only company I spoke with that answered my questions and proposed multiple solutions to keeping a house warm in the winter, so I'm not too worried.

Took very long to provide the installation over a month

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for this service. I had the job done within a few weeks after I bought the deal. They had two or three guys come out and it took less than an hour to do it. It seems to be working fine.

Great. Needed help with electric but Kevin fixed it so we could install electric controller

I ended up spending about 12,000 I felt like this was a bait-and-switch. They said our roof has a high pitch and that in the fine print it said it was for a flat roof. I asked him for a full receipt for the total cost and they gave me a bill for an additional $6,059 after the Big Deal. I said I wanted the full receipt and he said I can't give that to you because you paid Angie's List for the deal not us. They did help us submit paperwork (certainteed, class action lawsuit) for our previous roof which was very helpful, but, overall, I felt like I got ripped off.

Kevin called me to set up an appointment. This was nice because I was "getting around to doing this" for a week or so. When Kevin and Jaime arrived, they asked me for my concerns about items which I noticed. Then they both got on the roof and and inspected it, letting me know what they were finding as needed repairs. They then corrected these problems (i.e. fascia coming loose just under the roof tiles, a rain gutter which was coming away from the roof, raised roof tiles covering the exhaust pipe apron from the gas water heater.). They were efficient, fast. . I looked at everything before they left. I was very satisfied; they were very friendly and did a great job.

Timely response and follow up. Crew very courteous and professional. Problem was pricing. Agreed to buy a larger capacity fan than was included in the Big Deal which was costly but agreed. Told only other charges would be based on if electrical work needed to be done. Unfortunately there was work needed and the crew immediately took care of this and completed the job. I asked what the cost was but told I would be billed, fine. I was also asked to fill out the Angies list review form but this seems premature if you do not know all the facts ( costs ). I would estimate the added electrical work took approx. 30 minutes and when I received the bill the charge was 200.00. Therefore a rate of approx. 400.00 per hour. Also a bit disturbing was the fact when I received the bill my Big Deal credit was understated by 25.00. I corrected the bill and sent payment and I guess anyone can make an honest mistake. We had used Trela to check our roof one time previously and I believe them to be reputable but this experience fell short of my expectation.

They did exactly what they were suppsed to do without causing any damage which was very important to me since we have guteer guards on our gutters.

I purchased a big deal from. They were very quick to respond. However, the work that I purchased the deal for did not end up needing to be done.

The installer was nice the product remote needed to be replaced and they did replace it

I was unable to use this big deal due to the company coming out and giving me an estimate for the service. It ended up being almost double in price. They were professional, polite and on time for the estimate.

They came over and were very honest about what cold be done for ventilation and an attic fan was not one of them.

After exploring several roofing contractors we decided to use Trela and couldnt be more please. Great work and fair pricing.

Due to the weather being so hot I had to work with the company on when to do the work in the attic. The work was extended over a two day period. Initially they came out promptly and communicated exactly what they were going to do and about how long the job would last. The solar powered attic fan was installed within the time frame indicated, but they could not hook up electrical power to the fan. The electrical issue had to due with an electrical issue in my attic as power could not be supplied from a electrical outlet. Kevin informed me that the fan was working via solar, but that he would need to come back out with an experienced electrician. We arranged another visit for the electrial issue and they were on time as scheduled. After trouble shooting the electrial problem they were able to fix the problem and also get my closet lights working which was a bonus. They were very good and quick on both days.

We had problems with getting it scheduled but we got it scheduled and they did really superior work so I was very happy with them.

It was excellent. They came in and did the work. They were able to get in and out without any complications.

Trella roofing provided blown-in insulation for out attic. They were very easy to work with. They did the installation before we moved in so didn?t actually let us know when the installation would be completed, which made things a little more complicated, until I?d confirmed the install. Price was about average compared to other quotes we got, although Angie?s List coupon did alleviate some of that. Only complaint is that after the initial quote they told us about needing to create a wall around our A/C blower unit, in the attic. When we asked if this was included in the initial quote we were told it wasn?t and we asked why, there wasn?t really a good answer. In the end they honored the original quote, but didn?t build the wall, which was something our home inspector noted when inspecting the final work. In the end not a huge deal, but more of a communication issue. If I were working with them again I would make sure to understand everything that is going to be done without making assumptions. That being said I would certainly contact them if I were doing attic insulation.

Trela roofing and remoding was very detail oriented and thorough. The roof and siding was done perfectly and we are completely satisfied.

Roof replacement went very well work was outstanding. Timely completed. Outstanding workers, and efficient.

Rich phoned the day before with the time and was very prompt. The work was done in a timely manner and i was apprised of all that was done. He even went above and beyond by doing some work not included in list.
