The big deal highlights rodent damage inspection in attic, my wife told Ryan (provider) that our daughter heard noises and he refused to even look in attic until an exterminator visited. The exterminator came and as suspected there were a few mice and he took care of the problem. No where in the big deal ad or even fine print does it say if you have heard a noise or suspect a rodent we will not enter attic. I think he had to get to his next appointment.

Robert took the time to educate me regarding the humidifier. He easily could have come out and manufactured unnecessary expensive roof repairs. It's nice to know there are still friendly ethical people in our world! Thanks Robert!

Great Job from the beginning to the end!!! I took advantage of an Angie's List deal and contacted Trela Roofing for an estimate. Ryan Trela (3rd generation of founder family) promptly answered my questions on the phone and set up a date for an estimate a few days later. Ryan was very professional and thorough. He listened to my concerns and went into the attic to provide a detailed explanation of the work covered in the estimate. I also requested assistance with some flashing on a chimney, but we couldn't go on the roof due to the snow. Ryan then offered to return and supply an estimate when the snow cleared. I received the formal estimate in less than 24 hours and we scheduled the job within two weeks of the original call. Ryan could have scheduled the job earlier, but my schedule has conflicts. I received a call from Rich two days before the scheduled date to confirm the appointment. Rich stated that they would arrive on site between 9am and 10am. Rich and Kevin arrived at 9:10 am and toured the work area while providing an overview of the work to be performed. Rich and Kevin then quickly set up the job which included the use of floor coverings to minimize debris from the job. They worked well as a team and did not rush the job in any manner. They specifically blew in 12+" of insulation over the exsisting insulation and added soffit vent shields to keep the air flow from being blocked. They also moved some wood flooring sheets to cover the complete area and then added an insulation baffle to the attic door. When the job was finished, Rich and Kevin cleaned the area and returned it to its' original condition. Rich completed the job by going onto the roof to review the anticipated chimney flashing job. Rich provided a detailed explanation of the reccommended work and addressed all of my concerns. Once again, I received a detailed estimate of the work to be performed within 24 hours. Trela Roofing did a great job and I would highly reccommend their services.

A man came out and was to perform attic inspection. I explained that due to previous repairs through my insurance carrier's sloppy work, needed misplaced insulation bats repositioned. I agreed with him regarding scope of work required and he would email me an estimate. All he did was look in the attic with a flash light and did not perform any work as big deal described. I had no problem with giving me a quote which I needed. He stated I would receive $75 credit upon acceptance of quote. I thought about what took place. No promised Big Deal work was performed. I paid $75 for a quote for what should have been a free estimate as most contractors would give such as for a new furnace or home repairs. I sent an email to Trela regarding what took place and I requested my refund of $75. Robert Trela did phone me a few days later and told me I would need to contact Angie's list. Mr. Trela seemed not to care at all about the situation other than asking if I wanted the Quoted work done. I did not like his lack of discussion of what I said.

The service was good. It took awhile to schedule the appointment. We told them when we would be available to have the work done; they said they would let us know when they would be available to have the work done on a Friday like we wanted. We did not hear from them so my wife had to call them back to schedule the appointment.

Ryan and his crew were great through the whole process, beginning to end. Ryan helped choose the shingles style and color. They removed the entire old roof and replaced everything with. There were about ten or more 4x8 sheets of bad plywood that needed replacing due to dry rot and mold. The source of the mold was discovered and resolved. They installed the ice and watershield in addition to underlayment, vents, and the shingles. The façade above the front door and surrounding a bank of windows on the second floor were replaced, including spray foam insulation where there was very little insulation since it was built 25 years ago. The gutters and downspouts were next, but they waited for the painter to stain everything first. The whole process including staining took about a week. It all looks great together and could not be happier with the entire job. Everything was done well, on time, within quote/budget, and without any mess. They will be back this coming Spring to replace the vents in the soffit and to add insulation to our attic. I would not hesitate to refer Trela Roofing to anyone.

Rich explained what they were going to do, answered all our questions, and proceeded to cover all areas that might be in their path to keep everything clean. They had to run the hose from the truck outside to the attic in a Georgian house, about 25 feet above the sidewalk outside. Because it was a very cold day, temperatures in the teens only; they ran the hose from the outside to a second story window, blocked the open window with a tarp to reduce the amount of cold coming into the house, and went into the attic, About 90 minutes later they were done, and started to clean up. After removing the tarps, they vacuumed everywhere, and left the carpets cleaner then when they started. At no time were we bothered with their presence, and never even heard a sound of noise from the process. It was very surprising, and very gratifying. Thanks to Angie's List and our due diligence of checking reviews, we found a very professional, excellent source of help in trying to upgrade our home. We will definitely use this company in the future to check our roof in the spring, and some of the other services they provide. We were impressed by the great work done by the whole crew. They closed in racoon damage at dormer corners - Insulated inside dormers - checked roof - caulked even the other sections of the roof. Impressive work!

The company provided insulation for the attic and roof of my home. The workers were extremely professional and pleasant. They kept me updated on their progress as they worked and asked how I would prefer certain aspects of the job to be carried out. I think very highly of the company and their work. I would definitely use them again.

From the inspection to the completion, Trela was professional and amazing. I have been searching for professional contractors whom I can trust and Trela fit the bill. Kevin called before showing up, the inspection and estimate was perfect and came in right in the middle of some other estimates. I went with Trela because of their history and adherence to code. We will be using the company again for some insulation and airflow issues in the upper attic in the new future.

Discovered improper installation of skylights. They were originally installed up said down. Very professional and did an excellent job.

Trela replaced front gutters and installed and replaces lead versa caps on top of roof. Kevin and everyone at Trela are great and easy to work with.

From the initial visit and estimate they were clear about what needed to be done. Recommended other work that should be completed first. After I made arrangements for the recommended work contacted them about the necessary postponement. They were considerate, patient and easy to contact. When they finally were able to complete the work it went quickly and efficiently. The men were very professional and careful to keep the work contained. They cleaned up very well.

Shingles on my roof came off in a storm. I purchased a roof repair coupon for Trela Roofing. I called and they came out right away. After the provider got up on the roof and inspected the shingles I was advised that I did not need roof repair, I needed a new roof. I appreciated the provider's honesty and integrity. He also stated that since he could not help me, I should contact Angie's List to get a refund.
