JIm was prompt, very professional, and not pushy. He did a very thorough job in explaining their services. Unfortunately, we went with another company due to the price. However, we would consider them for other projects in the future.

Guys arrived on time, performed work. Cleaned up, explained everything. So far so good!

They came on time and gave me an estimate. They were very professional. But the firm is not a part of my natural gas rebate program.

The workers were very punctual. They tarped the entire area. They left the area neat and clean. They blew in additional insulation on top of existing insulation. The additional insulation has made a significant difference in warmth in my daughter's room. She used to have to sleep with an electric heater in her room. Now, there is no need. Just adding the insulation above her room made a huge difference. I had gotten other quotes, but they were much more expensive and involved more work than was necessary. This deal from Trela was a really good deal. There were 3 workers at my house for 2 hours and I paid just over $500 for 6 bags of blown-in fiberglass insulation.

When I called and spoke with Robert Trela (when the owner takes calls you know this is a company heavily focused on customer satisfaction) and explained the problem I was having with ice build up at the gutters and gigantic icicles, he knew what the problem was, talked me through it and scheduled an appointment within a few days to have someone come out to give me an estimate. Ryan Trela then came right on time and was very informative as he inspected the attic and then did a walk around the outside of the house to spot the ice problem locations. As we were in the attic, he pointed out that all of the soffit vents were all blocked from the existing battin insulation which had been jammed right down on top of them, and thus, warm air was collecting in the attic, melting snow on the roof, which then froze at the gutters and created ice dams. Ryan explained what the project would involve (as noted above for the scope of work) to remedy the problem, and when I inquired about installing an attic fan, he talked me out of it by explaining that it really wouldn't be necessary once they insulated properly and opened up the soffit vents with chutes to get the air properly flowing. I had an estimate emailed to me within a day. (The price seemed just bit on the high side of what I was expecting, but I felt given the high quality of reviews they would be well worth it.) The work team showed up right on time the following week, did another quick walk through with me, and then got to work. After day one they had cleaned out the attic completely and sealed attic penetrations. On day two the installed a couple more soffit vents and chute and then blew in all the new insulation. We had one minor hiccup with some melted solvent from the expandable foam insulation that leaked through a vent, but they were quick to respond and explain what it was so that I could handle cleaning it up. They offered to come out right away to handle the cleaning but I felt I could do it pretty quickly myself so no problem. I highly recommend Trela Roofing; they are knowledgeable, responsive and friendly, just the kind of people I want to use for any important job. This work will save me tens of thousands of dollars in water damage (including mold) that would have eventually resulted from the ice dam problem, so despite my initial thought that perhaps the price was just a bit high (and that was based on absolutely nothing other than a very brief internet search on costs to insulate attics, without any consideration as to location, market or complexity of attic space - my attic is very convoluted space) I give them an "A" for pricing.

Rich did an excellent job communicating what would be done and answering all my questions during installation. BUT, replacement skylight was different inside dimensions than original which resulted in additional inside carpentry (trim) work being needed. This was not confirmed until skylight was installed. Their minimum charge for this work is $250. This work has not been completed as of this writing. I will look for competitive quotes before having it completed. Apparently a custom skylight could be ordered but it would have cost more and taken longer to be available to install. Original skylight has started to leak during heavy winds and rain during very severe late November storm.

That turned out well. I was not at home for that, my wife was. Apparently he talked with her at length about stuff, but the written report that I've got from that was not at all detailed. I called them back and had a brief conversation with him. He did recommend some insulation work, but we opted not to do it, because he said that for the vast part the home was built beyond above the requirement and everything looks fine to him, except for insulation on one of the walls in the attic. We were reasonably happy with them. I felt like there were a couple of things where they could have easily gone beyond the call and try and sell some things, but in terms of his professionalism he didn't come out asking us to do a whole bunch of things that we were not prepared to do.

We are very pleased with the work Trela completed on our home. We had a pipe burst in our home and we needed a quick turnaround so that we would not have a similar issue again this the frigid cold. Trela's team arrived on time and completed the work in a reasonable time frame considering the scope of the job, It was a very cold day and they were very aware and took steps to ensure that the house was kept warm while performing the work. They completed all the work we required of the job. In addition they left the house and room cleaner than they originally found it. Would not hesitate to use there services again should the need arise.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. I liked it and the price was fair. I can't say I feel any difference with the insulation they did in the roof. The house is older and there are other draft issues going on. His workers were very polite and quick. They cleaned up. We just had our house remodeled and the builder recommended more insulation in the attic so we are happy. It's fine.

Everything went great. Scheduling went fine and they were accommodating to me. I was satisfied with the skylights.

We had purchased a big deal for the service, and they were great. They were prompt, I thought the pricing was good, and the roof has not leaked since they patched it. I anticipate using them again, as I want to replace part of the roof. We had some email issues in the beginning.

Work man arrived a few minutes early. Was very efficient, cleaned up after himself. Explained thoroughly what he found and sent a E-Mail estimate two days later. Would definetly use his company.

I was experiencing a significant amount water leaking into my bedroom through the HVAC register and a surround sound speaker. I didn't know if the issue was due to a leaking pipe or a roof problem or condensation build up. I called Trela Roofing & Remodeling and Bob called me back promptly. He helped to troubleshoot the problem over the phone and provided outstanding consultation. It's clear that he has decades of experience and really knows what he's talking about. He asked questions about my building and condo and came to the conclusion that it was a condensation issue -- not a plumbing or roof issue. Not once did he push any services upon me, which is a rarity in this day and age. I will ultimately need to fix the condensation problem and will definitely use Trela to do the work.
