Trela Roofing and Remodeling

My experience was excellent with this provider. I couldn't see everything that was done because of the height of the roof, but I was satisfied with the services.

Great professional service.

They did a fine job. They were prompt and there were no problems. They checked the attic and they mentioned that the roof’s shingles could be worked on. They gave me a quote for that, but I have not had the work done.

It was quality work, prompt service and they were polite.

Everything went fine, but we could have discussed all of this over the phone. The provider came out and within a few minutes of talking to me he informed me that I would not need his service because there is nothing I can do to keep me. His arrival was prompt and his information seems honest.

First of all, I waited several days for them to contact us after paying for the Angie's deal with them. It was our understanding that someone would contact us within 48 hours to schedule the work. I had to contact them at least twice to get someone to come out and do the work that we paid for. I was annoyed that it took so long for them to respond. When someone finally came out, he was not the actual person to do the work. He said that his job was to assess what was needed and someone else would come out to do the work. When the work was actually done, we were promised a follow-up written report outlining additional work needed for our roof. We never received this report. Everyone that we interacted with was pleasant but their lack of follow-up would prevent us from ever doing work with them in the future.

They did wonderful job and the service was great. Very happy!!!!

I was very pleased with the whole process. Ryan Trela came and gave us our estimate. We live in a split level and had been having continuous problems with a spot in our kitchen where the roof on that level met the wall of the upper level. It had been fixed before but was leaking again (not too surprising, our roof was 21 years old). Ryan was the only roofer who recommended removing the siding from that part (and the similar area at the front of the house) and putting waterproofing materials and Tyvek under it, then putting the siding back. I was also pleased with the crew that came out to work on my house. They were very professional and did a great job. I felt that I got a very good value for the money I paid.

Our house and garage has been completely transfrormed and looks brand new. Our home and garage looks great. We are very happy with the outcome. Everyone says the their can't believe the transformation and our home and garage looks really nice. Trela Estimate and Signing Contact: Trela salesman Mike came out and we explained what we wanted done. Mike took all the measurments for the roof, siding, gutters, windows, trim work and exterior kitchen door and garage service door on the house and the garage. We want over briefly the type of materials of materials Trela used. Trela sent as estimate on the above work. We contacted Trela since we were interested. Mike and Ryan came out and we went over the estimate in detail and the materials to be used on the house and garage. Since we were having so much done we had Trela come out again to go over the estimates and materials to be sure we had everything right. Ryan and Mike both came out and we went over the contract line by line and the warranty information before we signed the contract. ROOF ON HOUSE AND GARAGE Done First: Complete roof tear off and installation of new roof on the house and two car garage was completed in a day and 1/2. The team leader Rich and his crew were professional. All roofing debris was hauled away and the job site kept clean. Rich and his crew take pride in their work and paid attention to the smallest detail. Did not meet the roofing team members under Rich but I can tell you they worked very hard and efficiently. Roof Looks Great. The roof looks like a cedar shake but it is a self sealing vinly. The Roof makes the house and garage Pop. We contracted for the upgraded roof product CertainTeed with a Life time warranty and it was well worth the extra cost. The benefits of the upgraded roof out weigh the small amount of additional cost. The upgrade was listed on the estimate. Their was no pressure from the Trela to upgrade. The standard roof was of excellent quality also from Certain Teed. Comments from passing cars when we are outside: They slow down or stop to look and you can hear their comments. I really like that roof, wow look at the roof, or they asked us about the roof. Everyone has positive comments on the roof. (the other work had not been completed yet.) Gutters and Downspouts: New gutters and downspouts on the house and garage. All work well and pleasing to the eye. Windows FOR THE HOUSE AND GARAGE: Replaced eight windows in the house and two windows in the garage. The first bedroom has a huge sliding window. The second bedroom has a huge sliding window with a large double hang window. The Third bedroom has two large double hang windows. The two bathroom have a double hang window. The kitchen has a huge sliding windows. The windows in the living room and dinning room are part of a low bearing wall and did not need to be replaced and go very well with the window we replaced. The cost of the window installation for windows with vinly white exterior trim and white interior trim was very reasonable. Their are a lot of large windows in the house. The quality of these windows are excellent. We upgraded the interior trim to a vinly light oak. The upgrade of the window was our decsion. We had looked at the window website and really liked the light oak vinly interior trim. Trela never mention the upgrade and seemed to be surprised. The upgrade was not on the original estimate so we had to get the windows re- priced. The light oak vinly trim made the windows the focal point of each room. We really like the new look. The comments are WOW. The trim around the interior windows was expertly cut. The exterior window trim was clad in aluminum was expertly done. WINDOWS LOOK GREAT. SIDING, SOFFITS, FASCIA AND OTHER OUTSIDE TRIM WORK FOR HOUSE AND GARAGE. Tyvek was installed under the siding on the house and garage. We upgraded the siding to the CertainTeed Cedar Board Insulated Siding. The upgrade wa detailed on the estimate but their was no presure to contract for this. The siding looks like real wood but the siding is vinly The siding was expertly installed. The siding boards all line up. The siding boards on the side of the house match up with the siding boards on the back of the house. The siding boards on the back of the house match up with the other side of the house and continues to the front of the house. The fit and finish is amazing. Kevin the team leader for everthing except the roof explain to how the house is water tight for the siding, windows and gutters. Kevin explained all the layers of protection their used to us. We had the opportunity to watch Trela carpenter Bill bend the aluminum for the exterior trim. Bill would measure and bend the aluminum and the pieces would fit like a glove. The team members under Kevin (leader for siding, soffits, gutters, windows, and kitchen and garage serice door) were Bill, Jaine and Kenny. Everone who worked on our house took pride in their work. Their attention to details was very important to all. We asked all team members questions (not just the team leader) and sometimes we would ask the question again for clarification and received a postive response from all. T HE HOUSE AND GARAGE LOOK GREAT AND THE BONUS IS THE HOUSE AND GARAGE IS MAINTENCE FREE. THAT IS THE RESPONSE WE GET FROM ALL IS THE HOUSE AND GARAGE LOOKS REALLY NICE.

It took a little while to get a date set, but that was because of the weather, it kept raining on the days he was supposed to come and install it. On the day he actually installed it, he showed up well before the appointment time and finished before I got home from work. My wife said they did an excellent job and did a full inspection of our roof and said everything was looking good.

Cost estimate was over 2x the cost estimate of 3 other Angies A rated companies. I went with another roofter from angies list. Very pleased with not going with Trela and save over $5,500.00 for same job. If you want to pay twice the price for the same service, Tela perhaps is the company for you.

I bought the deal on 19th of August. There was no contact from the company till end of august. I did contact them and they sent out somebody to do the inspection. The guy told us that they can fix the nails on some shingles and replace 3 new shingles for the deal. For certain new siding piece issue and other items, there will be separate charge and an estimate will be provided for it. He also talked about providing an estimate for the attic work. Told me that somebody in the office will call me soon. I waited 2 weeks and nobody called. I called them multiple times and got a response that they do not have any record on my house inspection. Finally I provided them the name of the inspector and the office agreed to call me back after talking to him asap. One week goes by and no call from the office. I called multiple times and left messages, but no response at all. Finally I got a call and they told me somebody is going to do the inspection again and provide an estimate. They will fix the roof issues right away and provide an estimate on the remaining. I was surprised and didn't know why another inspection was needed. I questioned the person on phone but he had no response either. The service person shows up on 9/27 and says that he does not have 3 new shingles that need to be replaced. He does not have the small side piece either. He can get it, but he has to contact the office regarding this and any extra charges on buying it. As per conversation, there will only be charge for materials and no extra labor charge. It should be covered under the deal. He talks to the office person and suddenly a big surprise quote. "We can only fix the protruding shingles and nail them down. That's all we can do. If you want us to replace the 3 new shingles, it will be an extra charge of 475 dollars." THE OFFICE DID NOT EVEN TALK TO ME. JUST A SURPRISE QUOTE AND YES/NO ANSWER EXPECTED. I questioned them that the previous inspector had told me that this fix was included in the deal. if buying new shingles was the issue, I could have kept extra shingles if that was the only show stopper here. THERE WAS NO COMMUNICATION AT ALL FROM THE OFFICE. I had to ask them to continue their work and told them that I will sort out other things with the office. They went around the roof and fixed the nails and protruding shingles at multiple places. However they did not fix the missing 3 shingles because the office had asked them not to do that at the last moment. I could have kept extra shingles at my place if they had informed me before. The office just suddenly threw a quote on my face for 475 dollars. I had to wait 1.5 months for somebody to come and fix the roof and they provided me an estimate on the day of fix. No communication from the office at all regarding the inspection done before. I have no complains regarding the service person who fixed the roof. They were hard working and polite. But the office has lack of communication and no professionalism. The previous inspection was thorough and had lot of notes and extra items for which a quote was to be provided. The previous inspector walked me through multiple issues and pointed out that your roof can still last for couple of years. He told me that we will provide you separate quote for some of these items. The inspection on 9/27 (day of fix) took couple of minutes and the answer was in form of a quick quote. I was interested in getting my attic insulated through this company. However this bitter experience stops me from doing this. I can see those 3 missing shingles on my roof and I have to get some other company to fix this for me.
