The service provider, Ryan Trela, arrived on time and conducted a thorough professional evaluation of existing roof, gutter and attic conditions inside and outside my home. He allowed ample time to answer my many questions and provided thoughtful suggestions on how to reduce or eliminate the creation of ice dams after heavy snowfalls. In the course of our conversation, he proposed adding twelve inches of R30 value blown-in insulation to stop infiltration of heated air from the living spaces of the house into the attic, building a rigid insulating frame around the trap door to the attic, increasing ventilation in the attic by adding solar-powered gable vent fans, decreasing summer heat gain by installing venetian-style blinds on the undersides of the four attic skylights, and placing additional snow guards on the roof to protect specific areas at ground level below, where I have been concerned visitors to my house could sustain injuries resulting from melting ice and snow falling from the roof above. The advice received was worth many times the modest cost involved, and I will be asking Trela Roofing back to implement a few of the higher priority suggestions that came out of our meeting, to be scheduled as my budget allows.

We did not actually have any service provided, but the professionalism of the company would make me inclined to call them if I ever need a roofer's service.

The provider arrived within the stated time frame. He fully explained what he was going to do and what he was looking for. He asked if i wanted to come up in the attic, which I did. He showed me what he was looking at explained what we could do to improve our attic insulation. He also went up into Garage attic and inspected that as well. He provided helpful advice on insulating two can lights in the attic (from our family room). He said he would provide a quote for increasing our insulation by the end of the week which he did.

Determined attic space needed additional insulation to help prevent ice dam damage. Since attic is used for storage, Ryan suggested an additional 12 inches of insulation in half of the space with a quote of $1485 and I have a Big Deal credit of $250.

The men who installed the door were courteous and clean ! They did a nice job on the door , overall , the exception is the exterior, it looks somewhat unfinished, they had to cut brick to increase the size of the opening, some of it is uneven, I would have preferred if they had trimmed the outside with wood to cover up some of the unevenness in the brick, some of the caulk on the outside was sloppily done. I found the price to be excessive, on both the door and cost of labor. I had a difficult time communicating with the owners son, who provided the estimate. I found him to be pushy and rude.

Arrived on time and finished up in a timely manner and good quality work. 2nd project with this company!

Trela came to inspect & recommended replacing it for 5K (not in the budget). They came to do the repair, which was just some caulking. Not sure what I was expecting, but I'd assumed it would be something that I couldn't have done myself. Or, at least, that the repair would be guaranteed in some way. Unfortunately, after the repairs, the skylight leaked during 'regular' rainstorms. Somehow, they'd made it worse ? and they said it wasn't guaranteed in any way ? unless I replaced the entire unit. (Would've been better off leaving it alone.)

They came in inspected my attic provide me with an estimate with three options for insulating my attic based on our conversation. Decided to go with full insulation and a solar fan. They were professional, the cost was exactly as they as they quoted. I would highly recommend this company

Asked provider to cut the cost as it was 2x higher than another estimate. It's been 2 weeks and they haven't gotten back to me.
