Description of Work: I purchased a BigDeal from Trela Roofing and Remodeling.

Description of Work: Sealed two skylights for $99 and took a $300 down payment for two new skylights to be installed in the spring.

Description of Work: The company responded immediately to my purchase of a solar attic fan and set an appointment to come out the next Saturday. (This was in the Spring of the year.) When they arrived, they told me they had to install on the south side slanted roof. I told them that my intention had been the center flat roof, the only section that the sun hits during the summer because three large Catalpa trees block the sun from the slanted roof. We agreed that we would delay installation, and I would observe the sun's path as the leaves emerged on the trees. Three months later -- still no sun on slanted roof so not possible to install the fan. The workmen were very professional, but I wish the the company had put the info about the slanted roof in their ad.

Description of Work: The man from Trela came out and provided an estimate for our bungalow roof that was over $10,000 over the $6,000 we had paid for the half price deal. We have since had another estimate from an Angie's List recommended contractor for well under $10,000. Trela is way out of line. We can't afford them. I would like a full refund of the $5,995, and we will use another Angie's List contractor for the job. Thank you.

Description of Work: I recently purchased two Big Deals from Trela Roofing and Remodeling. I spoke with them prior to buying them, as I wanted to get a quote first. They told me they couldn't make it out to take a look soon enough, but advised me to go ahead and purchase them and assured me that if we didn't want to move forward with the work, we could return them. They did come and give us an estimate. Unfortunately, it was over three times more what we had expected based on their reviews on Angie's List. There is no way that we can do the work at this price and so I'd like to return the vouchers for a refund. Trela was very professional though. They contacted us right away after purchasing the vouchers and were very pleasant when they came out to give us an estimate.

Description of Work: Vendor was unwilling to treat asbestos shingles on our roof awning, which is understandable. I wish, however, he would have told me this when I made the initial request for work via phone and email-- when I disclosed that detail front and center. Instead, I felt I was strung along so he could do other work he recommended-- on my big roof. I do believe the work on the big roof needed to be done, but couldn't justify spending the money if the first task wasn't going to be taken care of. He was nice and offered a referral of a painter to help me out. Still, an afternoon was wasted on the estimate and two weeks was wasted during which I waited for the appointment.

Description of Work: The big deal details mention the following, "$84 for Attic Inspection of Insulation, Rodent Activity, Water Damage and More + Report!." The gentlemen did come out, went up to the attic, and just took a quick peak in the attic. The individual did not get off his latter, take a look around for rodent activity, water damage, but did take a quick look at the inspection from his latter. I would have expected him to go into the attic so he could look for rodent activity and water damage. It turns out I do have a bit of water damage above the garage which they would have found if they actually looked around. Another roofer had found it that came out. Also, the details mention that a report is provided. No such report was found other than a quick estimate of the work to be done which was take off a Power Fan and install a new exhaust vent. Since June 12th, I have called them a few times to schedule the work and they kept saying they would call me back. I ended up having someone else come and do the work and the other company was very prompt. I never called back Trela to let them know and they had eventually called me back to do the work and I informed them I had already done the work with another company.
