We were extraordinarily pleased with the work they did. They did exactly what we wanted. They gave us an on-target. They showed up on time. They did an excellent job. We were very, very pleased with the work. They had a fair price. It really looked great when they were done. They guy, Pierce Power, really understood what we were looking for. We both wanted the work to be structurally sound and we wanted a good appearance. It did not need to be perfect but it needed to accomplish those two goals. We were trying to balance the quality of work and an issue of timeliness. We had a narrow window of which to get this work done and he was able to get a crew out there that did it with extraordinary speed and quality. I will absolutely use them again in the future.

When I called for an estimate I received an appt. for the very next day. After obtaining other estimates, we decided to go with Kerry Masonry based on the estimate (the lowest), and it's excellent reviews on Angie's List. The work was done within a week and Bobby and Moe did beautiful work. We also had downloaded a 10% off coupon and they accepted it without a problem. I have other concrete work which we plan to do in the spring and I will call Kerry Masonry again. The process was so smooth and cost 1/4 of what our other estimates would have cost us.

The work was completed in a very professional way and with no delays -- I would definitely use them again. Our carpenter, also working at the house asked for their name when he saw the work they did.

Every one of the employees I dealt with were very competent and professional. The written estimate was reasonable and was completed after an on-site inspection and discussion about our options on doing the work. The job was completed in one day. The masons found that it would be better to replace the three stairs with four slightly lower stars because the first step would have been too high. That idea conformed with the advice given by other masons who looked at the job before. We are happy that they decided to do the job the way they did because it turned out as we had hoped it would. I would not hesitate to recommend this company to friends and neighbors.

Work was done under my direction for my mother's house in Flossmoor. Since I live in Evanston, meeting a contractor for estimates was difficult. Kerry was able to provide the estimate without meeting me at the house. Kerry was able to inform me of building requirement in Flossmoor. All work was done to code. All work was done quickly and professionally. Very pleased and would definitely use Kerry again. They are located in Evergreen Park, but seem to do work all over the south Chicago and the south suburbs.

Andy and his colleague arrived right on schedule and completed the work in one day. They worked continuously throughout the day and were finished by around 4:00 p.m.

I promised Pierce and his team a gleaming review and I am going to deliver! We had about 5 masonry companies come to give us estimates on a list of issues on the exterior and interior walls of our 100+ home. Jack came out to give us an estimate and I immediately liked him. He didn't rush through our estimate like some of the others -- instead, he talked through some issues with us that we might want to address down the road, which we appreciated very much. (We are first time homeowners and are slowly chipping away at a huge amount of repairs on our two-flat.) Their estimate was very reasonable and we felt good about Jack, so we set a date for one-day project. Pierce's team was prompt and started on the work right away. I'll fast forward a bit and say that we were pleased with all of the work performed, interior and exterior. They did more than was expected. There was a bit of a hiccup in communication on one part of the project and a decision was made by the workers without discussing the issue with us first -- I don't want to harp on the details of the issue because what is important is that it was fixed immediately. When I came home from work that evening and saw what had been done, I called Pierce to discuss the issue. I only called to address my concerns with how the project was handled and to be reassured that the issue was handled in the best way possible as we weren't able to make the call ourselves, but Pierce had a solution that was above and beyond anything I had anticipated to come from our conversation. He had his team come out the next day and put new brick along the entire area that had been previously repaired at no cost to us. This was a very generous decision on the part of Pierce. I was extremely surprised, impressed, and grateful for how quick he was to respond to my concerns -- again his solution went above an beyond my expectations. And as you can see from my review, I am not grading any lower on any part of the experience because everyone has an error in judgement now and then -- it's how a mistake is handled and remedied that matters. We will definitely go straight to Pierce, Jack and their team for any future masonry projects I have... if they'll work with us again!

From start to finish it was obvious that Pierce Power was a professiona,l interested in providing quality work.We indicated to him that we were proud of the way our house looked and were concerned with matching the brick and mortar so the finished repairs would be basically invisible.Pierce indicated he could meet our requirements and would not accept a job he didn't think would satisfy the customer. The work crew assigned to our job was very professional and experienced and accomplished the job as expected.

I purchased the replacement brick and limestone caps from Illinois Brick. (I had already picked out the replacement brick before I had gotten the quotes for replacement.) Kerry Masonry picked it up with their truck and brought them the job site (my house) They removed the old brick and recreated the wing walls -integrating them into the main section of the house. They sealed between the existing steps and the new brick. Also at that time they tuck-pointed the main section of the front porch and varies areas of the house. I liked the look of the new tuck-pointing so much that I had them come back and tuck-point the columns of the porch. Kerry Masonry went along way to make sure I was satisfied customer.

They were on time and did a beautiful job! I would highly highly recommend them!

Let me preface this by stating I am a difficult consumer to please. I interviewed eight companies for my gutter replacement and received quotes from four before I settled on the contract with Kerry Masonry. The contract I signed was not the lowest bid, however, it was not at the high end either. The bid was in the middle range for the quotes I received. Jack was the man I met when discussing the job and receiving the bid. Jack was knowledgable and professional when providing me with a quote for the job. He came to my house when I was home to discuss the job and understand exactly what I wanted done with my house. I was impressed by his patience and willingness to spend the time to understand what I was looking for in directing the water flow from my roof. He brought tremendous knowledge and expert advice to the table. The installation was done in one day by a two-man crew led by a man with over thirty years experience in the field. He actually came to inspect the house (take some measurements) two days prior to the installation. His level of detail and pride in his craftsmanship are commendable. They did several things that were not listed in the contract because it was the right thing to do. On one section of my roof they re-engineered how the water flowed to insure it would channel into the gutter. In another section in the back of the house they applied fascia to a section that was not included in the bid because they found a problem during installation that needed to be addressed before he could successfully hang the new gutters. I also had a spot in the back where water ran on the wood and needed replacement. I was told of the experience of this crew when I spoke to Jack during the bid process. What I did not know until the job was completed was that they would exceed my expectations. Two days after installation it rained. I went outside to inspect the water flow and was pleased and surprised to hear a sound that was not familiar. I heard the sound of water running through the new gutter system like water through a stream. My old gutters never made this sound. It was music to my ears. Thanks Kerry Masonry for a job well done!

They were very prompt. I like the actual references that I can see and speak with. I will continue to use them.

Needed to have some tuckpointing done on my building and garage. Got several very high estimates (probably b/c it was a smaller maintenance job, not a big "from scratch" job). Kerry cam,e out, gave a reasonable, lowest estimate. They came out in a couple days, did the tuckpointing job, didn't over charge or over sell. They finished in the time they initially mentioned. Good work and haven't had any problems; workers who've come in confirm the work is quality. Would use them again.

In my line of work I deal with a lot of contractors and I am often disappointed by their lack of follow through or timeliness. Dealing with Pierce Power was an extreme pleasure. He showed up for the estimate at exactly the time he said he would. The price he quoted was pretty much what I had expected. On 9/4 the crew showed up the first thing in the morning to remove the old concrete. Everything was cleaned up when they left and except for the missing driveway you wouldn't have known they were here. The next morning the crew showed up when promised to frame and prepare to pour concrete but the concrete had to wait for the next day due to weather. On 9/6 the crew showed up when they said they would be here. Everything was cleaned up before they left and I have a new driveway and step to the front porch that I am very happy with. Every one of the crew that I dealt with was professional and courteous. I would highly recommend Kerry Masonry and will use them again if the occasion arises. Thanks Pierce.

The crew of 6 arrive as scheduled around 7am and rang the bell to let us know they were starting our concrete project ( I was glad they did because it got extremely loud with the sledge and jack hammers). The crew was courteous and respectful which I greatly appreciatedThey used Willie Brother's cement, did quality work, and removed and hauled all the dirt and debris away. They finished just as it was getting dark and I was pleased with the finished project. However, what I didn't appreciate was that Pierce the owner asked his crew leader Andy to get the balance owed for the work, and I asked him if he had any paperwork with the balance owed documenting receipt of full payment for our records, and he said no. So I asked him to have Pierce call me as this was a substantial amount for us, something we had to save for. He calls and ask if he can pickup the check, and I asked him about the paperwork, and he also doesn't have any paperwork for us. To make matter worse he came over our house after 9pm to pickup his check as if we were going to pack-up and leave before daybreak! He also never came and checked on job like he said he would, didn't ask us how we like the work or how things went-NOTHING ONLY ASKED ABOUT HIS CHECK! Unprofessional and offensive to say the least! As a business owner myself I would have never went to my clients home after 9pm to pick-up a payment and to top it off ask nothing about the service I rendered to them......poor customer service and people skills! Therefore, even though I liked the workmanship of the crew, the customer service we received was so poor I wouldn't use this company for any future concrete projects.

Kerry Masonry arrived at the scheduled time and completed the work in a timely fashion. The cracks by the stairs in our concrete entryway were patched and the bricks on a retaining wall by the patio were repaired. We were very pleased with the employee conducting the job.

Pierce was outstanding. Both jobs were done very neatly, completely & with a lot of professionalism. They were on time & it was a great experience. I would definitely recommend them to other.

Pierce Power was on time to present his quote on the job, which I felt was very resonable. He called me to let me know the work could not be started due to rain. They were on time the next day and worked very hard. Jack who quoted me the price for relacing the gutters was very nice and worked with me to get a color to match my shutters. Again due to the rain they had to staret a day later. I am very please with all the work.

Received an estimate for some concrete work that ended up being more involved and expensive than we were willing to commit to. The estimate we received was priced fairly and we would of moved forward with Kerry, but decided to hold off since we are thinking of moving in the near future. Overall Kerry Masonry was very professional and courteous.

The project began as a two day project with three workers. They indicated their skills early in the project. Some damaged bricks were grinded and replaced, and some were grinded and filled with mortar. The walls had the appearance of a blatant patch job. The workmanship was very good, but, we wanted a neater splattering of mortar and fewer stuffed brick holes. We were looking to real artisans in tuck-pointing to fix the walls of our castle. After some conversation, questions, explanations the three men were very cooperative, proved their skillfulness and did a job we would agree on. The wall was repaired as best without a complete teardown and restructuring. Although an excellent and thorough cleanup was performed, a coating of dust was all around. I offered to maybe consider using an industrial vacuum instead of a blower since blown dust will not land neatly in a corner. The company and its employees seem genuinely interested in providing an excellent service to clients.

The contractors were punctual, cordial, swift and professional. Before leaving they made sure everything was clean and all debris was hauled away. The explained in detail how to allow the new concrete to dry and let me know when it would be ready to use. I was pleasantly surprised that the complete job was done in just 1 day!

Mr. Pierce was very laid-back in demeanor and delivered a quality, well-done job. Very easy dealing with him.
