Ken was amazing! Prior to the installtion, I had about four feet of water in my crawl. He showed up around 10pm at my house to try and see where it was coming from. He found an abandoned pipe that they have now taken care of. Each day when I came home from work, they would give me a rundown of what they did that day. They started on Monday and Monday night we had storms throughout the night. I thought for sure when I woke up in the morning, there would be water in the crawl. To my surprise, there wasn't. Ken's guys are great! My neighbors are watching them as they work and may be giving them call!

Ken came out, checked out problem. He told me what the problem was and what it would take to fix. He told me what it would cost which I thought was very reasonable. He was not pushy. Ken, Maria, and the two techs that did the work were all friendly and easy to talk to. They were always on time. They did a neat job and cleaned up afterwards. We have had some rains and I'm pretty sure it would have leaked if it wasn't fixed. i would not hesitate to recommend Family Waterproofing Solutions.

The owner Ken came out and checked out the issue and answered all of our questions. We setup the appointment and they came out on time and performed the work.

We have a flagstone basement and it is always wet. They came in dug a trench all the way around the inside of our basement, put in a wick, put a matting on all the walls to wick the water into the trench. They dug up a part of our flower bed to and put a sealer on the wall so the water could not run onto the basement stairs. They told us that it would take 3 days and that is exactly what it took. They were all very nice. They cleaned up all the mess and called back after awhile to make sure that everything was working.

How'd it go? We want all the details. We have had problems with our basement leaking for many years. A few years ago we had two estimates to see what it would cost and we were floored with the prices. Needless to say we didn't get the work done and decided to live with it. The water problem not only got worse, but the cracks in the walls also seemed to get bigger. We knew we had to do something. After calling four companies to come out and assess the problem, we had a good idea what we were in for with price. Each company had their own ideas and solutions. We chose to use Family Waterproofing Solutions. Ken, the owner, came out right away and by far created the best experience for us out of the group. Not only did he spend the time to teach us about our issues, he was the only one that genuinely seemed to know what he was talking about, (I work in maintenance/construction). He was the only one that looked on the outside of the house and he even water tested our foundation to recreate the problems. His price was also in line with the other companies, so the choice was easy. On the days of the work, Ken's crew showed up on time and were very professional. The work was very labor intensive and we were shocked with the final product. We have since had some weather and we also ran the hose in our worst spot...still bone dry. Ken, the president of the company, came out to perform an inspection to determine the source of water leaking into my basement on rainy days. I knew that there was a crack in my foundation, and had thought this was the source of the leakage. However, Ken showed me that the location of the crack on the outside of my home did not line up with the location of the leak on the inside. He then informed me that since the leak is coming from above the basement (in the ceiling), it did not involve any necessary repair to the basement foundation wall, and therefore, was not something that he would be able to repair. We then walked back outside and he pointed out that at the very location of the basement leak, I was missing a small section of siding on my home, about 20 feet above the location of the drip. This is, most likely, the source of my leak. I cannot express enough how happy I am with the service I received. It would have been very easy to simply repair the one visible crack, collect the payment, and leave. Instead, Ken pointed out to me that the crack I was looking at was not taking in any water, and that I most likely just need to replace the small section of missing siding. This type of honesty is rare to find among companies. I enthusiastically recommend Family Waterproofing Solutions, and will absolutely be contacting them again in the future if I ever need basement waterproofing services again.

The work was completed on two separate days. The work done on the 12 feet exterior wall required digging, exterior membrane applied and needed 72 to 96 hours to dry. All other work was completed on the first day 11/10 /14. On 11/14/14 the dirt was refilled to the exterior wall and the four elbows was installed. The first day took about 3 hrs. The second day took about 1 hr. Ken was extremely thorough with searching for my seepage problem. He also explained what to expect though the process of getting my repairs completed. Ken and his crew were very professional, punctual and provided quality work. The price was also very reasonable. .Mr. Ken Kirchner, who is the president of the firm and I believe the owner also, came out and provided an overview of the entire process. He took his time in explaining the different options available to us along with the pros and cons of each. A written proposal/estimate was provided. Our next encounter was when we accepted the proposal. To schedule the appointment we dealt with Maria who was extremely professional and accommodating. A date and time was scheduled and the workers showed up within 10 minutes (early i might add) of the pre-arranged date and time. The two gentlemen were polite and careful and cleaned up well after the repair. If need be I would certainly use them again and would not hesitate to recommend them to friends.

During the heavy rainfalls. I had a good amount of water come in to my unfinished basement. I called four other basement waterproofing companies in early August, and they all said that due to the rainfalls they couldn't come to my location until early OCT to mid NOV. I called Family waterproofing and Ken came to my location on 04 AUG 2014 to give me a quote on a couple foundation cracks in my basement. He gave me a couple options to solve my problem. He told me about an epoxy injection that would be quick, easy, and cheaper to my problem with a lifetime warranty. Unfortunately, both cracks were in problem spots. One was behind our furnace and would be difficult for his equipment to fit, and the other was behind our old 300+ pound cast iron sink. He told us about the exterior option where he and his crew will break the exterior concrete by the cracks, and did a hole 5 feet deep to apply an exterior "membrane" to seal the cracks from the outside. He also told me ahead of time that they will not replace the concrete if we agree for he and his crew to preform the work. He did state it would be more of a cost and the membrane had a 15 year warranty against water penetration. After answering all our questions, we agreed to the work to be performed. Due to all the heavy rain falls he told us he was backed up with jobs (just like his competitors at the time), but we can call him at his personal cell number with any questions until then. When he came back a month later on 04 SEP 2014 to do the work with his crew, it began to rain. Believe it or not that didn't stop them, he and his crew kept working to did the holes. Fortunately the rain stopped when they were half way done, and after assuring that the walls were completely dry they applied the exterior "membrane" material to patch the cracks they began to apply the sealer. Throughout the process they were great with letting me know what was going on, and they had no problem answering questions. They told us they were to come back in 4 days to complete the job, and to call them if any questions arise. They came back on 08 SEP 2014 to make sure the material cured and sealed properly before they filled both holes back up, and they cleaned after themselves. Total cost was $1110. Ken and his crew were extremely professional and courteous, and I would definitely refer them to anyone for their services.

This company is family owned that we found on Angie's List. Owner came out on time as scheduled, was very professional and fully explained options and best recommendations. Repairs were done in a timely manner and quality of work was very good. We are very happy with end result. Have had no water leaks since repairs were made. Price was fair and reasonable. Would highly recommend their services to anyone in need of this type of service/repair.

Ken was excellent. He doesn't use double talk and is more interested in having you understand the problem than making a sale. He took an enormous amount of time to be sure he understood exactly what was happening so he could suggest the best and most cost efficient solution. I have rarely felt so much confidence in a a service provider during an estimate period. I have scheduled the work to be done.

Ken was the first company to come out and actually investigate how the water was getting into the basement. Spending more than 2 hours with a hose and waiting until the water came into the basement. Then he came up with several solutions. The one we chose was the one that didn't include tearing up my remodeled basement. The solution fixed where the water was coming in. But a week or so after we had another heavy ran and water was coming in again but in another spot that wasn't fixed. Ken came back and at no charge fixed that too. I would recommend Ken and Family Waterproofing Solutions for any waterproofing problem.

Ken did a wonderful job sealing cracks in my foundation. When I first contacted him he came out within a couple of days and reviewed and accessed the problem. He did a water test with my hose to verify the problem. Once he was sure of the problem I was having he explained it to me so that I would understand what was wrong and what needed to be done. Ken is a very honest and professional owner. I can tell he loves the work he do and he does it with a passion. Family Waterproofing should be your choice for waterproofing your home. After checking around and getting different quotes, and after meeting with Ken I knew he was the man for the job! I was impressed from the start. I left a voicemail message and my call was returned within 10 minutes. We set up an appointment for an estimate. Ken arrived ontime and was very professional. We walked around the house and spoke about the scope of the repairs. He gave us an estimate and also provided us with a referral for tuckpointing (which we knew we needed these services too). We needed to expose the foundation walls on the 2 interior cracks. A few days before the scheduled repairs Ken came to our house to reinspect the work area. He performed the work on June 15th and we have had several rain showers since then. No leaks! THE REASON WE SELECTED THIS COMPANY OVER 2 OTHER QUOTES WE RECEIVED IS THAT KEN WAS THE ONLY ONE TO ACTUALLY DIG OUT THE DIRT AT THE FOUNDATION CRACKS AND RUN THE HOSE! As a side note, we hired the tuckpointing contractor. We would rate them an A as well. THANKS KEN!!!

THE WORK CAN NOT BE DONE UNTIL THE SPRING TIME, BECAUSE HE NEEDS TO DIG OUTSIDE AROUND THE FOUNDATION. AFTER THE WORK IS DONE I WILL LOVE TO PROVIDE ALL THE DETAILS. OTHER THEN THAT HE WAS ON TIME VERY COURTEOUS ANDI KNOW I WILL BE VERY SATISFIED WITH THE WORK. I was very pleased with the service. They were very punctual, everything went smoothly. Ken arrived promptly for the initial estimate. his price was fair and comparable to other estimates. His company provides a life time warranty on the crack repair and it is transferable up to 5 years. That is a great benefit. He also took time to explain and educate me about why and what he was doing on the day that work was done. I think that is a plus since there are so many businesses that want to milk their customers instead of serving them well. Family waterproofing is a company that truly serves their customers well and I will be using them again should the need arise. Finally, after the work was done Ken informed me that he didn't use as much material as he thought he would and reduced the final price. Great service, good work, honest and fair.

Everyting went by plan and smoothly.

He was very helpful and arrived on time.

I contacted Ken and he called me back and was able to come out the next day. We had water coming in our basement that was below our back door. I was not sure of the cause. Ken was able to figure it out by using the hose pretty quickly. He determined it was from that door and not a waterproofing issue. I really appreciated him coming out and even though we did not need his services for waterproofing now we will keep in mind for the future. Real honest guy and asked if I had any questions.

He did notice that our roof water drain was still too close to our house which might lead to an occasion floor leak that we have experienced. He said the $250 would be the cost to solve that problem, but he did mention to try solving the situation first and then see if any leaks return before scheduling him. That trick has worked so far. I would certainly consider calling him for future considerations.
