DCT Construction & Remodeling

Owner Darrell Thomas of DCT Construction & Remodeling is highly experienced, very trustworthy and his work is exceptional. I have used him on several jobs throughout my home and I encourage you to do so as well. The DCT team repaired my very heavy, oversized glass door that was pulling apart from its frame. The project required taking the door from the frame, sanding it down and replacing the hinges for stronger ones. The door works like brand new! DCT also replaced the pedestrian door to my garage. The job required the installation of a new frame, repair of cinderblock mortar etc. The door is gorgeous and works perfectly. DCT demolished a few rooms of flooring, carpet, and tile and did so quickly and efficiently and without any damage to anything in my home. They moved my furniture, sealed off the space in plastic sheets, removed a toilet, sink, and mounted mirror and then rebuilt the 8' x 20' x 10" platform entryway to my specifications. DCT removed old carpentry shoes, upgraded/replaced the baseboards for about 1500 square feet and mudded walls where previous contractors left holes. They took the wallboard off 6 wooden beams and rebuilt the exterior columns in new forms. I highly recommend DCT Construction & Remodeling for both big and small jobs!

Darell came out to give us a bid for replacing some doors. He was punctual and polite. When the bid came in it was the most outrageous thing I have ever seen. Other bids we received for the same work and product were one-third of his. I think he thought that because I was from Arizona he could pull something over on me. The bid was totally rediculous. He may well know what he is doing, but be cardful of his pricing. Make sure you get other bids. It might be a good idea to let him know that you are getting other bids so he gives you a fiar price right off the bat. I think I led him to believe that he was going to be the only bidder. In fact, that was my plan until he came in with such an outrageous bill.

Darrell was extremely polite and professional, a delight to work with-- no pressure on getting an estimate and selecting what type of doors we wanted to go with. He offers a great guarantee on his work (2 yrs) and went far above and beyond the duties that were just contained in the original estimate to make sure my house is as energy efficient as possible. I am in the process of finishing a gut rehab on my house and Darrell was on of the best contractors I've worked with throughout my process. Just make sure that you, as the home owner, stay organized and on top of due dates with your contractors.

Not only did he do a great job, but he upgraded my door at no extra charge. He is extremely polite. That is refreshing. He did a wonderful job installing the door. Two years later I noticed a manufactures defect in the door. He came back out and fixed it at no extra charge. He is a pleasure to work with and has good prices. He is prompt and I would definitely hire him again.

Darrell is a really nice, honest guy. He took the time to find out what we wanted and what our concerns were. We started out thinking we would have to replace both doors and the whole structure...and were able to get an est price on that. Darrell also mentioned to us there was another option, since only 1 of the doors glass was unclear, he could most likely order a door just for the one that needed replacement, and we would save a lot of money because the whole door wouldn't have to be ripped out and replaced. Most other door companies tried to sell us an entire new set, I was impressed that Darrell was nice enough to give us this option. He is going to talk to his supplier and get a price on the replacement and a time frame, and then I think we will be moving forward with the project. Definitely call Darrell, I highly recommend him!

His sale pitch was very high-pressure, and his price was significantly higher than the other estimates. He did seem to be very nice and attentive, but I would not use his service.

Cleaned up which is a gold star in my book! Went the extra to do a professional job. Nice guys. Will work with again.
