American Vintage was great. When I put the job on Angie’s list I received 4 vendors. American Vintage was the first to call the next morning. They helped me set up a time and followed through on all of their communication promises. Francisco, the technician was knowledgeable and fixed my sink in about 30 minutes. I enjoyed working with them so much I signed up for the maintenance program. Customer service is critical to me and I appreciate that every person I spoke to with American Vintage was kind and helpful.

Fine. Vendor called to offer earlier appt. due to cancellation. Appreciate that they reached out. Techs are always great. I’m less happy with the way they make the techs try to sell additional services- this time it was a condensate filter that costs way more than the $25 pumps.

The work was very smooth. I was told what exactly I needed to get and it was installed in a timely manner with no issues.

They couldn’t come in the time spot the answering service provided for me the day of the service. I hired my own plumber who has completed the work.

Dominic was an excellent technician, very helpful on the phone on a Sunday when the problem occurred. Dominic was just as helpful in person while performing the job, on time, professional, and very thorough and determined to resolve my issue as quickly as possible used all of his resources at hand.

They came when they said they would, I had a photo of who yo expect. He was efficient, clean and laid out any current issues as well as somethings to keep an eye on in the future

Ronnie handled the boiler - good job and diagnosis. Brian worked on the plumbing. Both were professional, friendly, and know their craft

Perfect---polite, thorough, efficient and changed my furnace filter which is a pain in my storage area. Also advised me on better filter to buy. Love that they call in the morning with a 4 hour window, then call back with a narrower window and then call when on their way!

After the initial service call and first repair (replace relay and install new step down voltage control), the problem was not fixed, so they had to return to re-do the repair. When they returned, they said that there was a new issue-they needed to replace the fan coil motor. The invoice for the fan motor coil replacement was $1,711. The invoice included labor; however, after several requests and e-mails to Ms. Webb, the Parts and Service Coordinator, I could not get an itemized invoice that provided a break down of parts and labor. After getting a second quote from a different company, we had the fan motor replaced for $850 which included the labor. That more than a 50% price difference! Scheduling with this firm was also a nightmare. On one particular day, they were scheduled to come work on the repair, and instead of arriving at the appointed time, I get a call explaining that they weren't coming because they didn't have the correct part. Well, it would have been good to know PRIOR. Definitely would not work with this firm again.

Beware!! Terrible experience. I've used them for years and had a monthly maintenance contract with them. Then this happened: Without disclosing their fees, they attempted to charge me $477 to install a simple faucet for a bathroom sink (and I provided the faucet!). And $490 to install a simple kitchen faucet (that I provided). $51 to turn a spigot in the basement (took 30 seconds). $300 to run a snake into a bath tub drain (it took literally 5 minutes and was done by an "apprentice". $600 for "Misc. repair time and material". Then, because they didn't manage to finish the job before quitting time, they had to come back the next day (they showed up hours late, only after I had taken off work and called to see where they were) and then tried to charge an additional $382 for the same work they hadn't done the day before! All in all, they billed me nearly $3,000 ($2,907 to be exact). When I challenged the charges, they agreed that there were "billing issues". Really? Then they sent a bill for $1,546; still wanting almost $1,000 to install two simple faucets THAT I PROVIDED. $300 for a 5 minute snake; $51 to turn a spigot. When I requested further review and reduction of the bill and that they apply $700 I had paid them in advance for an unrelated job, they threatened to turn the bill over to collections. I've filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.

I called several (5+) companies hoping to get my boiler fixed as soon as the holiday was over. American Vintage Home was the most responsive, and able to get someone out within a couple hours. The repair required new parts and the technician, with the help of the office, was able to get the parts and get the system up and running within 24 hours. The folks at the office and the technician on site were professional and courteous at all times. I will hire them again.

The plumber came and examined the two faucets and subsequently indicated that he did not have the parts. Not knowing what parts a customer needs is understandable but my issue here is that he gave no indication as to what he'd do from there. In fact, I increasingly felt like all he wanted to do was to shorten the visit. Not only did he did not offer to get the part, but he did not even ask that I get the parts so he could perform the work. I would have gone to the store right there and then. He then told me what to buy online and then charged me $139.00 for the advice to perform the work myself. I'll add that offered to be available remotely if I needed help over Face Time, so I bought the parts myself and took him up on that offer. Of course, when I called upon him for the help HE OFFERED he told me he could not be available. I left feedback via the company's texting system and received zero response. I additionally called and left a voicemail with the company and have heard nothing, which I now sum up to organizational culture. I cannot recommend this company to anyone at this point. It was a less than poor experience. Look elsewhere.

The American Vintage team was very professional from Frank Weitzel who provided the estimate and project scope to the team that installed the boiler to Dimitry who checked the system post-install. The team did a great job and we're very happy with their work.

The May 2018 installation work was not ever completed according to standard despite my numerous phone calls over the course of the summer of 2018. The closest that the 2 stories ever came in temperature was 7 degrees difference between the 1st and 2d floors, causing the system to keep running in an effort to bring the 2d floor to the requested temperature, thereby causing the 1st floor to become too cold. The issue needs to be resolved by adding 2d floor vents. The current 2d floor vents were all placed on the floor (cold air does not rise!), and too close to drapes and furniture to be effective. The work went several days over the projected completion date, causing me to lose money on a scheduled vacation. Only 2 technicians per day was completely inadequate given the size of the job. Another delay factor was that the "just delivered" compressor was allegedly stolen from my property, which appears to have been an inside job. One of the technicians spent a ridiculous amount of time trying to vacuum up dirt and insulation. He did not have an adequate vacuum, using just a small suction hose, going over and over the same areas. Despite numerous visits by the original technicians, and another person Sergio, I was told by the management at the end of the summer "Too bad!". They have sent my account to a collection agency!

Technician did a good job. I was little surprised at how expensive it was after seeing the price of thermostat online. However, AV came out within hours of my call and saved us from having a freezing cold home 2 nights in a row. Installation went well and the new thermostat works great!

These folks have all been amazing from start to finish. Lana, Crystal, and everyone at the front desk have been so friendly and helpful every time I call. Jack was extremely patient and knowledgable during the quote process. Even though I was such a pain :) he was always so respectful and patient in explaining the reasoning behind prices, approaches, etc. Once the work began, I knew these folks will be the only company I work with. Spencer was prompt, extremely hard-working, and very knowledgable and creative with the solutions and approaches he made during the process. His work is incredibly neat and tidy, and very well done. I literally enjoyed the final walkthrough because the work was done so well. Michael was also so helpful with checking in and both were able to explain the many steps to the complicated process without talking down to me or rushing my questions. Seriously, I cannot say enough good things about each and every person I worked with over this process. You will pay a little more, but if you can afford it you will be happy.

After living in our home for ten years, our old Tramco flood control system (over 50 years old!) broke down and we needed to find someone capable enough to replace it. After contacting more plumbers than I could count on both of my hands, I finally found a reliable company in American Vintage Home. In talking with other plumbers I came to realize that the vast majority of them had no knowledge of our old system, as well as no real good options for replacing it other than something that would cost well over $10,000. They told me I either have to replace it with a brand new Tramco unit or build a new flood control outside of our home. To top it off many of the plumbers neglected sending us quotes as they promised. When Jack from American Vintage Home came over he was professional and had ideas for replacing our system immediately. After several days, as promised, he sent us a quote that was incredibly detailed in its proposal and really laid to rest any questions I had. I signed on and he scheduled a plumber to come over and get started. The plumber they sent was professional, and when they ran into a problem they discussed it with me and presented me several options to proceed, some that wouldn't change the cost, others that would due to having to order extra materials. Most of their concern had to do with trying to maintain the current layout of our basement room, so it was much appreciated that they took the time to make sure I had a complete understanding of the issue. After completing the work they sent an inspector over the following week to do a walkthrough and provide me with some information regarding the new pump. Although the job was costly, it was reasonable when compared to offers from other companies. When you also take into account their extreme professionalism and their attention to detail, you are getting your money's worth for sure. I can't stress this enough; when most of the plumbers would just give us a verbal quote and wouldn't be bothered to write something up, it gives an amazing impression when someone is willing to take the time to write a 2 page proposal that lays out on a point by point basis what the work will be. And they followed that proposal to a tee! We will definitely be contacting AVH for any future projects we have!

The technician that did the work (Spencer), showed up on time and did a great job. He was professional, cordial, quick and competent. The company was easy to work with from the point of calling to get an estimate to the moment the tech finished the work and left my condo. I would hire them again. I thought the cost of installing the two toilets was a little high compared to their competitors, but worth the slight extra expense.

I originally called American Vintage Home to get a valve on my sump pump replaced. They talked me into the service plan, which I thought would be a good idea. It took me two appointments to get a plumber to show up -- the first time nobody came in the FOUR hour window, and did not call or text. The next time the plumber came in a two hour window and was professional and did a good job. I then scheduled an air conditioning appointment. More no shows after I sat at home waiting -- also no calls or texts. When a tech finally came, he was thorough and did a good job. Then made an appointment to get a leaking toilet fixed. Again a no show, and that was the last straw. I rescinded my service plan and am moving on to another provider.
