Dear Mr. [Member Name Removed], I want to thank you for your review. At American Vintage Home we are always concerned about our customer's dissatisfaction. From your review I can only gather that you were unhappy with the price of the repair. I have looked at your service history and I do see that we installed a new Sillcock at your house. I tried to call you this morning to see what exactly about the pricing were you dissatisfied with, however I had no luck reaching you. I reviewed your invoice and offer you this break down of the charges so that you may understand it better. You were charged a Service Call Charge of $89.00 which included the arrival of the technician and the initial diagnosis of the repair. To make sure that we followed our protocol, I also listened to the call that you had with CSR to ensure that you were informed of this charge. During the listening of the call I did hear the CSR explain the Service Call Charge, as well as you acknowledge it. The second charge that you received was installation of a new Sillcock and removal of the old Sillcock which was $109.00. Our pricing is not based on time and material, but upfront pricing. Upfront Pricing means that there are no surprises, fair value, and consistency. No surprises means everything is included - there are no additional or hidden costs, even if the work takes longer. Fair value means service prices have been determined over time and prices are based on broad experience in many situations, and finally consistency means that everyone pays the same fair price for the same service (price is never determined on who is a better negotiator). Description of Work: I needed to have some radiators inspected and want 2 TRVs installed on radiators. I was informed that: 1. There is a $79 service fee. 2. The office has no information on any kind of pricing--no hourly rates, no estimate on general cost of a TRV installation. I don't understand why anyone does business with them. I understand that estimates are just estimates, but how can I be an informed consumer if I have to pay them just to get even an hourly rate? I have no way, then, of deciding which companies I want to look at the job. The woman in the office kept saying that the technicians have the information, but she can't get it.

It is our policy to meet with each customer face-to-face to survey the home, understand their wants, and their needs. We do this because each home is different, and because of that many unforeseen issues may come into play. So what we offer is a Free estimate which is also free of any obligations. This way you can ask questions, and so can our engineers. Then based upon your conversation the engineer will provide you with the best possible options to addressing your concerns, and you the customer can make the best/informed decision. Furthermore, should you decide to go with our estimate you can relax knowing that there will be no sudden changes in pricing and the work will be completed in an agreed amount of time. Description of Work: Air Conditioning Tune-up. Originally scheduled for June 1st but was raining during their AM service window. They called promptly at 8 AM and rescheduled for the next morning. Was called 30 minutes prior to arrival to let us know who our technician was. Andrew B arrived promptly within service window. No other service provided. Andrew was knowledgeable, polite, thorough, and wore shoe protectors. I would absolutely use American Vintage Home again. Only knock would be their sales pitch at the end for their monthly warranty and that for some reason billing didn't update the technician that I had already paid through Angie's List for the service. He took a screenshot of the email receipt and all has been fine since then.

Description of Work: They checked and confirmed that my old water heater is BEYOND repair. |They drained and remove the "dead" tank, and brought a new one and installed it .after the installation, they made sure the place was as clean as they found it, and the technician sat down w/me to inform me about my new tank.
