AMF Brothers Granite Countertops

We were told about AMF Brothers by our contractor and cabinet makers and were very happy they did. we had 45 sq./ft of granite needed for our countertops. They were about half the price of every body else and there quality and service could not have been better. We contacted them over the phone and sent them a drawing of the kitchen on email, they sent back a quote within 24 hours. We went up to Chicago and picked out the slab of granite that we wanted, then they came on Thursday Feb. 13th to template the countertop. The following Monday Feb. the17th and installed the granite countertop. That Monday we were having an ice/snow storm and did not expect them to be able to make it because of the weather but they showed up on time and did a quality installation. We are very happy with the price, service and installation and would recommend them to anybody. They service a 200 mile radius of there shop.

They were dishonest about what they were providing and then didn't return phone calls. we finally got them to pick up by calling from a phone they didn't recognize.

I was very hesitant on getting granite. Andrew was wonderful and very patient with me. Helping me pick out just the right color for my kitchen. It took several visits to find just the right piece. My husband is a machinist and was concerned about the installation and how the cut out for the sink would match up.. They did a wonderful job. Very professional. Andrew called several times on the day of installation to make sure everything was going well. It did, of course and I absolutely love my granite. I can't believe I waited so long to get it. Thank you for such wonderful customer service.

We had our kitchen done by AMF Brothers. They did an amazing job. They are excellent at what they does. In the end we got a beautiful kitchen countertops!. We get complemented on the granite by everyone that walks into our kitchen. Five star rating !!!

I just got off the phone with them, I am looking for a quartz countertop fabricator, and they advertize on google. They are selling a quart product I never hear of, Nauta Quartz. When I went to the Nautra Quartz website, there is a warning about this material Do not place NaturaQuartz in locations subject to intense direct sunlight or expose it to UV lighting (link to webpage with warning http://www.naturaquartz.com/maintance/ ) . The person I was trying to explain my concern with, kept on over talking me, telling me that there was no difference between this material & Caesarstone, Hanstone. I tried to tell him about the warning, and he clearly knew it all. He was so obnoxious, I told him I wouldn't be able to do business with him, because he wouldn't let me speak. With that he abruptly hung up.

I recently renovated a home that I bought as a foreclosure. I was reluctant to spend a lot of money on countertops and was planning on installing laminate. I received several quotes and then my contractor suggested that I call AMF . I called the their office and Andrew answered the phone - although they were about to close (it was a Saturday), he said he would wait for me. I was impressed with the selection they had in my price range and I was blown away by the price. It definitely made more sense to go with the granite than the laminate. I explained that I was in a rush to get the countertops - everywhere else I called said it would be at least 2 weeks to get someone to come out to make the template. Within 3 days, AMF was at my house measuring and the next week it was installed. I am in real estate and have done many renovations. Never before have I experienced such skilled and quick installers. The work they did was perfect and they left my house cleaner than they found it. I strongly recommend AMF !

The setup was fine he came out showed samples and discussed everything in detail. We visited the shop to see the materials the same day. About a week later he came back to do the template and measure again. I showed him the sink I was going to have installed and gave him the template for the sink. The day of install arrived and they were on time The workers asked me a few questions like where the could setup to cut material and how the back splashes were to go.They would have to remove some of the wall tiles to install the back splash so I confirmed to them what had to be removed and where. I ten left them to do there work about an hour later I went to see what it was looking like and to my amazement the worker had removed tiles from a wall that was not supposed to be removed!! After some thought we elected to have the wall covered in granite now (full back splash) It came out beautiful in the end. This was done at the bid price. They were now installing the counter now and I noticed that the cutout for the sink was wrong even though I pointed it out to Andrew at the start and gave him a template. Also the piece of granite with the cut out was a little short . They said they could make it work if the sink issue was resolved. Now the wait. I waited for over an hour for Andrew to contact me back to discuss the sink issue . After he got a bit unruly saying I should have made sure he saw that the sink had the large sink on the right and not the left. Because of this he wanted me to pay for the piece. I was a bit upset hearing this. I would think it should be the Companies job to make sure they knew what was what. Old saying measure twice cut once!! So after a heated exchange we decided to switch sinks. He would buy my sink and give me one that would work in the counter as cut. Problem solved ? Well not entirely Apparently the workers went to cut a new piece before Andrew could talk to them. Oh one more thing I also asked the worker about the sealer. He also told me to do it every year that it only lasted 1 year. We never got the Piece of Granite we were promised as a cutting board even after repeated calls to his answering machine, but so be it. Bottom Line The counter turned out wonderful we love it . All in all we are happy with the job, they took away our old counter tops which they were not supposed to do but I asked them and they did. My advice to anyone thinking of hiring them ..... 1. Get the cutting board before they leave 2. Make sure they have the template and know how to use it for your sink 3. If you are having any wall tile removed keep an eye on them. My rating ...I would have giving a and b's if not for the few issues

Removed old countertops, left them on grass.Installed new granite countertops, one countertop was too short and had to call office to have them reconfigure it to the specifications that had originally been discussed.Cut out the area for the gas cooktop and downdraft vent inside the house, but the salesperson said that they would do all cutting outdoors. Caused a huge amount of dust throughout the house. Workers told me that the sealant that was used was good for only 1 year, and in the agreement, the sealant to be used was supposed to be for 15 years. Salesperson told me on the phone that the installers did not know what they were talking about and that he supplied all of the materials and that the sealant they used was the 15 year sealant. Workers installed the faucet, and according to the agreement, did not hook any plumbing or drainage. Once the faucet had been hooked up to water and drain, the fixture leaked from the interior of the faucet. So far have called a minimum of 10 times for them to remove and replace the defective faucet. Was given an excuse every call. Still waiting for the faucet to be replaced after over 2 weeks. Note* today, Thursday July 27 at 7:30PM a plumber showed up from their company without a new faucet, proceeded to take the old faucet apart, and did, fix the leak and left at 9:03PM.
