It turned out great! They were very, very good. They were very professional. In order for them to put the new furnace in a better place, they had to make more duct work that was even quoted in the estimate. They explained everything. Bill was extremely helpful!

Over the years I have used many plumbing guys - I keep returning to Alan Heat and Cooling. They are VERY professional and do quality work. When the furnace was starting to go out we called them - Michael came out - did a full diagnosis and came up with two ways that we could fix the problem. Since winter was fast approaching we decided to replace the 20 year old furnace. Michael once again came up with several options in different price ranges. What was surprising was how timely they were able to get out to the house and do the work. They cleaned up (a rare treat) and took away all debris - seems like a little thing - but I have had workers leave their mess. We are very pleased. I don't think we would have realized how good these guys were if we had not had a bad experience with a different contractor. If you are looking for a good heating/ cooling guy - Alan Heat and Cooling are your guys.

Through routine visits, Alan Heating Air Conditioning keeps our old furnace going, and got the humidifier going again. They are dependable.

We used to use a different service company for our Lennox furnace, but experienced problems with them so checked Angie's List for a new company. We found Alan Heating & Cooling and called them to see if they could come service our furnace due to no heat. They came out the next day and found the problem. It just required a cleaning and everything was working like new again. We have and will continue to use Alan Heating and Cooling in the future.

Called in early October to schedule the annual maintenance on two furnaces. Was told the first opening was in early November. When I mentioned that I would need to schedule for either a weekend day or the early evening, the woman on the phone got "huffy" and said that it would be charged at time-and-a-half. Not very accommodating for the working folks. Called another company and was able to schedule an appointment for the upcoming weekend at "regular" cost.

They told us they could be there within an hour. They were there about 20 minutes after that (but amazing response for this time of year). He found what he thought was the problem and replaced a part. After closing up the furnace, it still didn't work. He then replaced a control unit. In running diagnostics we saw a spark in a strange place, and discovered that he had pinched the wires on the original part when replacing the cover. He put the old part back in, taped the pinched wires, and it works fine.

We have been using Alan heating and A/C for years. They perform an annual inspection, but our initial experience was for an installation. The company is extremely professional and very responsive. They have been an excellent company to work with for many years. Not only that, but they are very open about giving you information and answering questions.

Mike showed up promptly for our appointment and we were very impressed with the thoroughness of his inspection and his explanation of his recommendations. His price was competitive with other estimates and he did not pressure us. He and another technician showed up exactly on time on the day installation and they were amazingly quiet considering the work they were doing. They did everything they said they would, there were no problems and they left the area totally neat and clean. We are completely satisfied and would highly recommend Alan Heating for the installation of new equipment.

I contacted Alan Heating in early November to schedule a cleaning/maintenance for my Furnace. They scheduled me for a date at the end of November and promised a call the day before to "firm up the time". The day of the appointment, they called at 10am and I missed the call. I returned the call 10 minutes later and was told that they were coming to my house right then, but since I missed the call I would be put at the end of the list. At this point I clarified with the rude scheduler what their expectations were: That I sit around my house all day long waiting for them, and they would call me 5-10 minutes before they were to come and if I was unavailable that was just too bad. This seems like very poor scheduling practice to me (even the Cable guys can give you a 4 hour window), and I canceled the service call.

I called because we didn t have heat, and they were here the next day. We have been very pleased with Allen Heating, and we have used them for quite some time. I would highly recommend them to others.

They are the company who installed the units years ago, and what I like the most about them is that they do a phenomenal job. They are locals and I have never had any problems with them so far.

I NEVER ACTUALLY HAD TO USE THE SERVICE AND HAVE THEM COME OUT. THEY HELPED ME RIGHT OVER THE PHONE RATHER THAN SENDING SOMEONE OUT AND CHARGING ME. HE ALSO OFFERED TO SEND SOMEONE OUT THE NEXT DAY IF NECESSARY. THEY WERE VERY NICE.

WE WOULDN'T CALL THIS COMPANY AGAIN: (1) THE SERVICE MAN ASKED IF WE WOULD LIKE THE APRILAIRE HUMIDIFIER SERVICED - IT DIDN'T HAVE A PAD. IT DID HAVE A PAD. MY HUSBAND HAD CHANGED IT NOT TOO LONG AGO. THE SERVICE MAN HADN'T LOOKED. (2) SERVICE MAN PUT THE THERMOSTAT ON RUN PROGRAM & DIDN'T CHANGE IT BACK TO MANUAL WHEN HE LEFT. A FEW HOURS LATER, THE THERMOSTAT DROPPED TO 65 & AUTOMATICALLY TURNED ON AC. (3) HAD TO CALL COMPANY TO FIND OUT HOW TO GET IT BACK TO MANUAL. (4) WHEN I COMPLAINED THAT THE SERVICE MAN SAID THE PAD WASN'T IN APRILAIRE WHEN IT WAS, THE MAN IN THE OFFICE SAID I HAD MISUNDERSTOOD.

NO WORK WAS DONE. THE PROBLEM WAS A BLOCK IN THE DRAIN TUBE OF AIR CONDITIONER, AND LOTS OF WATER WAS LEAKING OUT. I CALLED FOR THE FIRST TIME (DURING A VERY HOT SPELL) AND WAS TOLD MY NAME WAS ADDED TO THE LIST. I HEARD NOTHING MORE, SO 2 DAYS LATER I CALLED AGAIN. I WAS TOLD THAT THE CO. WAS FIRST SERVICING THE PEOPLE WITHOUT AIR CONDITIONING, AND HE DIDN'T KNOW WHEN HE WOULD BE ABLE TO GET TO ME. I CAN UNDERSTAND THAT, BUT I SHOULD HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT WHEN I FIRST CALLED. I JUST EXPECTED THAT THE CALLS WERE SERVICED IN THE ORDER RECEIVED. WE FIXED THE PROBLEM WITH THE HELP OF A NEIGHBOR.

OUR FILTER NEEDED REPLACING AND THE COMPANY THAT INSTALLED OUR FURNACE WOULDN'T HELP US UNLESS WE PAID FOR A $100 ''TUNE-UP'' FIRST. THE GUYS AT ALAN HEATING A/C ANSWERED MY QUESTIONS OVER THE PHONE AND PROVIDED EXACTLY THE SOLUTION I WANTED FOR ONLY $30! THEY HAD THE PART IN STOCK AND I PICKED IT UP AND INSTALLED IT THE SAME DAY. THEY WILL GET ALL OF MY FURNACE AND A/C BUSINESS FROM NOW ON.

THEY WERE VERY POLITE AND EXPLAINED EVERYTHING THOROUGHLY TO YOU. THEY ARE A LITTLE BIT MORE IN PRICE BUT, THEY GUARANTEE THEIR WORK AND WILL COME BACK FOR FREE TO FIX ANY PROBLEMS.

THEY DID AN EXCELLENT JOB OF EXPLAINING WHAT MY OPTIONS WERE FOR A NEW AIR CONDITIONER. THEY INSTALLED UNIT ON TIME AND ON BUDGET. NEW DUCT WORK WAS PROFESSIONALLY DONE. JOB SITE WAS LEFT VERY CLEAN.

I WAS VERY IMPRESSED THAT THEY WERE ABLE TO ASSIST ME OVER THE PHONE, SO THEY DIDNT HAVE TO CHARGE ME FOR COMING OUT! I WILL DEFINITELY USE THEM AGAIN!

CAME OUT SAME AFTERNOON AS CALLED FOR SERVICE. SERVICE MAN WAS VERY POLITE. I HAVE USED THIS SERVICE BEFORE WILL USE AGAIN.
