Great job fast response and pleasant and professional service. The plumber encountered a problem but explained it to me clearly and he came up with a good solution. They didn't talk down to me or treat me poorly like many contractors. I love how quickly I can schedule an appointment and their pricing is fair for the quality of work performed.

It went very well. Very prompt and courteous.

The attachment of the spigot was no problem. However, a little over 3 weeks after they came out to power rod my line I again have water backing up in my basement toilet.

They did a good job but the pricing was way too high.

They called me back and told me that they would return my call in a couple of minutes. 8 hours later not call.

Paul and Saul were great. Very professional and communicative. I appreciated how up front they were about pricing and how quickly I could schedule them to come.

I will caution against using this company. They will not stand behind their work if it fails. I called J&S based on my previous experience with one of their mechanic and all the good reviews on Angie's. I had an appointment on 8/28 as my sump pump was not working. The mechanic Leo said the float was just stuck and he 'cleaned' it. "Came on site, found primary sump pump switch stuck, clean float switch and it's rod, working good at the moment." The very next day the pump failed right in the middle of an heavy downpour. Below are pictures of my flooded basement. I called J&S immediately and they sent 2 'mechanics' an hour later. They said the pump is broken and it will be $535 to install a new pump and $1800 to install a backup system. I asked them about the water damage and they said it is not their problem and will not pay for it. I asked to speak to their supervisor, but was told no. I called their scheduling office again and asked them to connect to their supervisor. The supervisor Beth started off my saying they are not responsible for pump failure and they cannot predict if the pump is about to fail (if you call yourself an expert in the field of plumbing, you should be able to figure out). She very emphatically stated they will not take responsibility for the damage to my basement nor would fix it unless I pay the $2300. After going back and forth with them, she agreed to credit me the $98 service charge from the previous day if I had the pump installed from them. I have a finished basement and have spent $12k for the clean up and restoration!! Obviously I was not going to trust the company that caused all this problem in the first place.

I can't say enough about this company!! They have been so helpful, even after the fact with detailed billing for the insurance company. I recommend them 100% for their plumbing skills and customer service. I didn't think companies like this existed anymore. Great job J&S Plumbing!

J & S is my plumbing company from now on. Very conscientious and courteous. Highly pro- fessional people. I will use them again to replace my kitchen faucet.

Our shower handle broke and previous plumber replace the handle but was not able to remove the cartridge tp replace it, so the handle broke again and left us with a dripping handle. J&S was able to easily replace the cartridge with no problem and install a new handle with time to also unclog our sink.

I am amazed a person called me back at midnight for an emergency repair. They kept in contact with me about arrival time and arrived within the window originally estimated. Matt was great. He explained everything thoroughly about trying to diagnose the problem, as it wasn't clear where the water was coming from. Upon finding the root of the problem, he gave the estimate in writing. The major repair will be done next week. He cleaned up after the drywall cutting and was respectful of my home while working. Now I understand why people use Angie's List. This was my first experience and was so happy someone came so quickly.

Initial call indicated the service Rep would be at our home between 11-12 and they were very punctual at 11:10am. Assessed the situation and within an hour, our kitchen sink/drain were working wonderfully.

Excellent and professional service. They came out same day to estimate several issues and returned the very next day to perform all work. Excellent knowledge, very friendly and efficient. I would definitely recommend them to friends and will hire them again if the need arises.

I have a sealed sump pump in my basement. I had previously called another well known plumbing company out and the plumber looked at my back up battery and saw that it was a Watch Dog back up sump pump system. Without even unsealing the cover, he immediately recommended I replace it with a pump and/or back up that "can handle the water drainage that this large house requires". I asked to see what he recommended. He gave me three options that ranged between $2,000 to $3,000. I called J&S to come out. Julio arrived on a Friday evening. He was very courteous and listened to the issue. He unsealed the pump and looked at the two floats and within 10 minutes found that the main float was not working. While he did not have a replacement flout for the Watchdog system but he could install a new pump. I was worried because it was already starting to rain outside and I only had the backup pump working. I asked how much to replace the pump and he quoted around $550. This was quite a bit less than the previous plumbers quote. He unhooked the float to take a closer look at it and said that he might be able to get it working. He took it apart, cleaned it carefully, reassembled it and it worked. Total cost $186. I really appreciated his honesty and willingness to work on the problem. I will definitely use J&S again.

I had been seeing water damage on the ceiling drywall in my basement for a while. I've had two other plumbing companies tell me that the water I was seeing was likely due to condensation on the pipes and that I had nothing to worry about. However, the water damage had continued to get worse, so I opened the drywall and realized that I had a pipe leaking from the kitchen sink on the 1st floor. I called J&S Plumbing at 10am and they had a two man crew at my house at 10:30am. They immediately diagnosed that the leak was coming from the sink drain pipe and let me know that they would have to open the wall behind the sink to properly access the pipe. They put drop cloths down and did a great job cutting open a very neat and clean square opening in my wall. They cut the drywall in a way that it will be very easy to screw the piece back to the studs and mud and tape! Once the wall was open they were able to quickly identify where the leak was coming from. They cut out the bad piece of pipe and put in new PVC. They tested to make sure the leak was repaired. All of this took just over an hour to complete. They did such a good job that I asked them to look at the toilet in my master bath that I've suspected was not set properly by a previous company. They identified that the wax ring used by the previous company was not sufficiently placed and that the toilet was leaking. The drain pipe for my toilet sits about a 1/2 inch below the tile so they used a larger and thicker wax ring to correctly seal the toilet. The technicians did an amazing job, were super personable and very respective of my 5 month old that was in the house. They were super quiet and did their work in a fast and efficient manner. I will be using J&S for all of my future plumbing needs!

Leo, technician arrived during the timeframe I was given. Within 5 minutes of being at our home he had identified the problem for why our toilet was clogged and water was backing up from the pipe in the floor in our HVAC room. He had an ejector pump (Ion) in his truck and told me how much it would cost and that it would take him about 45 min. It ended up taking him 3 hrs because of what we found clogging the pump. Despite the extra time it took, I was only charged an extra $50 which I thought was very reasonable. All in all, the technician was very knowledgable and professional.

We had a very good experience with this company. I called to get some information regarding our issue and was able to schedule someone to come out within an hour or two the same day. I received a call when the serviceman was on his way which was helpful. The gentleman (Leo) was very courteous and got right to work assessing what was wrong. He was able to find the problem and fix it at a reasonable cost. I am happy to have found this company.

Chris from J&S Plumbing was great and was able to replace our water heater, even though it was a bit of a tight squeeze to get the old one out. He found a small leak in one of the water pipes coming into the water heater and was able to correct the problem right away. It took a little bit longer than expected to get the hot water circulated throughout our house (had to flush all of the cold water out of the lines), so we had called them back that night to set up a follow up appointment. Brian (Kaz) was amazing and went out of his way to ensure everything was working properly. He stopped by the house later that same night to ensure the new water heater was working properly (which it was) and to check each bathroom / faucet. He stayed as we ran the water to ensure we had hot water in each, and then called the next day to check that everything was still ok. I would definitely highly recommend J&S Plumbing, and will absolutely call them again if I need any plumbing work performed.

The job looked pretty scary to my wife and I at first and we are very grateful to the foreman, Daniel Cortez, for explaining everything along the way. After the first leak was uncovered he really wanted to make sure that all problems were fixed and this is when he found the second major leak under our tub. I was very impressed at the efficiency and hard work ethic of Daniel, Rosalio, Esteban and Mark! They all worked great as a team to get the job done in a timely manner, saving us money by completing the repairs in one day. I would never hesitate to call this crew again and in fact have a few more jobs for them. This company is number one in our book. Wish we found them years ago.

I was really impressed with how professional everyone was, from the first phone call through completion of the work. They initially came out because we had water coming up through the basement floor drain when we ran the washer. The determination was that the water from the washer could not flow properly out to the main line, probably due to tree root buildup. Not a surprise - we've lived her 10+ yrs and never had the line cleaned, and have no idea if previous owners did. While no one wants to spend money on a sewer clean out, it was needed and the price was fair. The work was scheduled for a day that was convenient for us, the crew arrived on time and completed the job by mid-afternoon, including installing the clean-out, rodding in multiple directions, and the village inspection (J&S took care of the permit). They uncovered a huge amount of roots, as expected. They did have to dig up part of the front yard, but filled in the hole and left things as clean as possible. The crew was polite and respectful of our house and yard - true pros. We really appreciate the great job they did for us.

From the beginning when I explained my emergency to Hillary, she was cheerful and reassuring. She answered several questions over the phone, including an estimate that put my mind at ease. In addition, she explained that J & S has no upcharges for evenings or weekends, which was a pleasant surprise. When Keith and Rich arrived later in the day, Keith checked the water heater and quickly discovered that it was not the problem. After turning on the washing machine nearby for a few minutes, he discovered that the gray water pump next to the water heater was the source of the problem. Although the pump was less than two years old, the switch had malfunctioned. Fortunately, Keith and Rich were able to repair the damaged pump because they had the correct switch on their truck. In addition, they were able to honor the warranty on the part even though J & S did not do the original installation. After the repair, they also did a good job of cleaning up the entire area. Overall, I was very impressed with their ability to quickly diagnose the real problem and then follow through with the repair even though it was completely different from my original request. Everyone on the J & S team did an excellent job!

Phone call is always pleasant. Nice people to speak with. Flexible appt scheduling. Gave me an est time of arrival. Prices are very affordable. They have helped me on a weekend/holiday without needing to sell my arm off. I have used them twice and both experiences were good.

Paul and Saul were exceptional! Did a great job explaining what had happened and why, spoke with my building's management company to gain access to the water supply so it could be shut off immediately and I did not have to schedule a 2nd appt. at a later date. They did a superb job and cleaned up when they were finished. Since I am new to this area this was my first experience with someone other than the plumber I had used for 30 years previously, and I will not hesitate to use them again!

It went great, they very helpful, professional and were able to fix our leak issue and take care of a few other issues we had in the master bathroom. We are excited to work with this company again to remodel our hallway bathroom.
