All went well; I spoke with Ed most times in the office regarding information/pricing before hiring and he was always courteous and informative. The crew of 3 came out to do the rodding outside my home. (Ed phoned to inform me they just completed a job early and would arrive about 15 mins. earlier than planned if OK with me.) Crew arrived minutes later, all friendly and informative with my dozens of questions! They went right to work, rodded quite a mess of tree roots and corrected my problem fairly quickly. I also asked questions about my sump pump and was concerned that it was continuously running.......stuck in "on" position and ready to "self destruct" (my words not company) which in fact it was in bad shape, so I received a quote for a new pump. While clearing out the outside, tub running water built up and Gasper even "plunged" my tub. All great guys, worked hard, were friendly and careful in how they did the work. All good! Matt arrived at the time that was told to us. He was very professional and VERY polite. He got right down to the job at hand and quoted me the cost up front. He fixed the kitchen sink in no time at all. Excellent service! Will use again - I hope that soon!

Work was well coordinated by me for the three contractors hired to do the work.

We called after work, and they were able to send a pair of men within a couple hours. They worked upstairs for not that long on the drain - took the plug out and unclogged a few big clumps of hair. After they were done the tub drained perfectly. This was a few weeks ago now and it is still working fine today.

Two man crew came out in the time frame they gave. We talked over the problem and solution and I was given a price to power rod out from the basement to the street. They were successful and cleaned up what little mess that occurred. Had a bad experience with another company, so I was very happy things went better with J&S. Would highly recommend them to others.

It required more work than originally anticipated - they needed to snake 30 feet out from the kitchen in order to clear the drain. The supervisor was notified and he came out to assist. The final charge was still within the estimate they had quoted.

Great. They got out right away and got it resolved. Also provided good advice on other plumbing questions I had.

The first tech was dispatched to stop a slow leak. It was determined that my single Gate Valve wasn't up to code and should have had two installed. The second tech was dispatched a few days later after I was able to have the public works department come out to shut off my water at the B Box outside. J&S were very prompt and informative during the entire process. They have called me to advise exactly when the tech would show up. Explained and provided the exact cost of the replacement. Would definitely use again the next time I have a plumbing issue.

They came and used the standard rodding technique and blamed the clog on grease. I was hoping they'd do a more thorough check on the piping. I thought the cost of the service could have been lower than what was charged.

This was an awesome, stress free experience for me. I had called J & S because I received information from my tenants that there was leaking water. The job was much larger than what I had anticipated. My insurance company became involved. J & S worked well with the insurance adjuster which made for a very smooth experience. The owner called me every night to explain what was going on. (I live in NC, and the property is in IL). All information was given to me in a way that was clear and helpful. I would hire them again!

Adam and his assistant were very professional. Came out same day, within 3 hours of my initial call. Assessed the situation and gave a quote and completed work. Also had recommendations for battery back up sump but no pressure and left me a quote with multiple options. Also checked out other sump to make sure it was working properly

It went well. They fit us in the same day I called, the plumber was good. He informed me on what was happening, told me how he was going to fix it, and how much it would cost before he started. Work was completed quickly and he cleaned up fairly well. This company has done work for me twice now and I've been satisfied each time.

The two gentlemen came and were very professional. Took the time to truly analyze if what we were seeing, was water damage and if was from internal pipes, or the outside. They cleaned up after themselves and I will definitely use J&S again.

The J&S folks were great! They let me know when the plumbers were on the way, they did a great job and cleaned up after the job was done.

The Plumber and his assistant were as professional and as polite as can be. Reason for price B is that this is the second time that J & S have been to my house and have been unable to complete a job due to being unable to remove a cartridge. Both times, this has cost me $185. I understand that this is their time but it still stings when you are paying and the job could not be completed. Reason for quality C and responsiveness C is that I left the plumber 2 messages and he didn't call me back. I had spoken to Rohl and had information for him about the failed job. Also the faucet that he had worked on was no longer lining up with the other faucet below it.... probably a 5 minute job for them to correct.

The plumber had difficulty communicating. When we asked him to install the faucets, he said that would be an additional $300 for each faucet. This was NOT communicated when we scheduled the visit even though we were specific that was what we needed done. Very disappointing. Then he said he could not unclog the drain and said that it had never been done. We explained it had been done 2 years ago and he said it was "impossible" it had been done. Since he was at the house, we then asked him to take a look at our other bathroom. He stated he could not help with the bathtub draining slowly there either. He was easily confused and could not communicate well. It was very frustrating, so we asked him to leave since he could not help with anything we asked. We were charged $98 for no service. We called the office that day (11/11) and have still not received any response. Very disappointing!
