Really well, both men were professional, on time, and worked effectively.

It went really well. The two men working on the job were very skilled and precise and did a fine job.

An estimator came out and assessed the problem. (Probably a 90 degree turn forced the window in). He quoted $200 and said to call the office to set up a time. I called and was told the "paperwork" had not come through and they would call back later that day. No call back. This happened 3 times! If they did not want the job, just say so. This was listed as a Super Service Award Company.

It went well. An estimator came out and explained what they could do. We reviewed all the windows and doors that needed repair. Later I called the office to schedule the work. The clerk was not diligent at calling me back. Two workers showed up and did repairs to about half of our windows and to the patio doors. The windows are wood and about 30 years old. Parts of the frames, sills and sashes were rotten. They disassembled the windows, cut new pieces of wood, reassembled the windows and stained or painted the new pieces. The work took 2 days. There was a discrepancy between the estimate and the work order. The workers went over what needed to be done before they began the work and we straighten out the discrepancies.

A person from APEX came out and checked and said the windows were in good condition and determined I need masonry work instead. Although I can't remember his name he was very professional, honest and clear when he pointed out the problems I need to address. He did not try to pressure me into instaling new windows. I would definitely consider APEX for any future window projects I need.

Apex came out three times: Once for an estimate, the second time they were supposed to perform the work but could not because it was raining, the third time to complete the work. Initially I was told the work would be done within 10 days. I called the office because I never received a FLU phone call, and I was told that they could not perform the work for about another week. After they showed up to initially repair the windows, I was told it would be another week before the work could be scheduled again. When completed, the quality of the work was fine. Pricewise, a lesser know business performed a similar project for a relative for less money, but I have no knowledge of the quality of the work.

It saved us a ton to replace a single window instead of the whole bay.

The work was completely done from scratch and looks better than the original. Very happy with the results and would highly recommend their craftsmanship work.

Punctual and appears to be quality work so far.

Two guys were here earlier than we expected the day we rescheduled (A+), although our original appointment was delayed by a week which is why I rated them a "B" rather than an "A". It took around 5 hours for the total job. We really liked the guys, they were pleasant and hard working. It wasn't cheap to do these repairs (thus the "B" rating), but the work is very high quality. We're glad they could be repaired rather than replaced!

The company representatives were very professional and arrived on time. They explained how the window system was designed to remove water and how it should be cleaned regularly. They also showed me how the window track system worked. They did an excellent job caulking the windows and I have not had any issues.

They never showed up or called for the estimate appointment.

After failing to show up for the initial estimate, I gave them a second chance. Several double pane windows were leaking and fogging. Company was to measure and repair at my house. Turns out they only had a couple of colors for the grills inside the panes which didn’t match the other windows. They had to come to my house 3 or 4 times to complete the job. They had to take parts back to their shop and left our house temporarily with broken and disfigured windows. They also repaired a patio screen and had a great deal of difficulty. The worker was very angry while fixing it. It turned out very sloppy and I had to redo it myself. The final result for the windows was good.

excellent. None of our seals were broke. He did tell us the windows needed maintenance, something they don't do though. To actually have a contractor come in your house and be honest, is a miracle these days. I would use these guys in the future if needed.

Could not be more pleased. Certainly would recommend them for window repair if you're considering. Here a the positives: Punctual: On time Professional: All communication was direct and accurate Meticulous: Take extreme pride in what they do all the way to the end Respectful of your home and person (very pleasant to deal with): Small things like taking shoes off before entering, sweeping up debris, full-walk through on completion. New Owner (same company name) wants to grow his business and I foresee they will have a lot more work!

Previously, on my Angies List - Review Date: September 18, 2013, I wrote that I was very unhappy and dissatisfied with the work of the former APEX Window company provided. Now the company is under new ownership and they are interested to make things right. They have no compelling reason to do this as the was from the former owner and crew company (still called APEX now). I find their offer to come back and replace dissatisfied areas of work and even new areas that require work at NO COST to be beyond genuine, This is an owner that is certainly very interested in making his clients happy and 100% satisfied. He wants to make this right and now so do I. Please consider calling this company for your work as I still stand here somewhat amazed that a company will go to this extent for complete satisfaction. Work was done well. Providers were prompt, polite, and neat. I would recommend them highly and would use them again if the need arises. Unlike many service providers they actually cared about the quality of their work.

This is a really reputable company. I have an old house in Chicago that is about 80 years old. I used Apex Window Works to work on my windows. I found out about Apex Window Works through a recommendation from another contractor who has done work on my residence before. He told me that he has worked with this company for a few years and likes their service. So, I made an appointment. Denis came out to meet with me, took measurements and talked about my options, there were many. He listened to what I was looking for, which for me energy efficiency was a must. I liked that there was an option to get a wooden interior on the windows. It allowed me to match the stain on the sills and brick mold, and now these windows look like new again. I decided to stain the windows myself even though Apex provides the service, they gave suggestions on how to do it. They even came by the next day when we had some questions. Oleg and Yra came to do the install and they removed and installed seven windows and fixed two sills and a sash, all in one day- plus they cleaned up after themselves. You know what I mean if you've ever had a workmen come into your house, some companies leave a mess behind. I'm really happy with the new windows. They are flawless, they are energy efficient, and the noise slimed down a lot. I live on a two way street in Chicago, the house is much quieter than before, all thanks to Apex for their great services.

The initial sales appointment was quick, efficient and on time. The installation appointment was on time, all tools brought, efficient. However, one of the windows was not put in correctly and required another visit to fix. Also, after close inspection (my fault for not checking), the window seals had 1/4 to .5 inch gaps. It did not affect the window, but it looks bad. I would use them again only because I don't know any other window place.

The 2 gentlemen arrived right on time. They spent all day replacing some rotten wood that surrounded some of my exterior windows. After the wood was replaced, they caulked, and then painted the new wood sills (with paint that I provided). While it is probably too early to tell how long their craftsmanship will last, I am very impressed with the work that was performed. The new sills looks great, and I can tell that special care was made with ensuring that the cuts and angles for the sill on my bay window were done very carefully. The 2 guys came with a table saw, and everything was cleaned up before they left my home.

Other than arriving late without a phone call informing me that they were running late, the repair was completed in 1 1/2 hours to my satisfaction.

I had a wonderful experience hiring Apex Windows Works team to do an extensive project at my home. The whole project included replacement of multiple thermal pane glass in various rooms. Besides that, there was also quite a lot of wood in my window sills and window frames that have rotten. The overall picture didn’t seem very optimistic. The Apex Window Works team was very professional and did everything very nice and in timely manners. The estimator, who evaluated the entire project, accommodated my schedule and was very punctual, as it has been promised to me. Another day, when the actual workers arrived to do the labor, they already had a good plan laid out to complete the job in timely manners and with the best quality standards. First they have replaced all the bad wood parts in my window frames without making any mess inside the house. Afterwards they replaced the rest of thermal pane glass, and sealed everything. While the workers were working on the project there was absolutely no interference inside the house, and me or my family did not even have to stay away from certain parts of the house. Everything was done very professionally, in very fast timely manners, and with thorough explanations of how to maximize the windows life span. We were extremely satisfied with the Apex Windows Works company, their personal as well as professional approach to the consumer, and their true willingness to help. We saved about 60% of money of what we could have spent, if we have gone to somebody else or decided to replace the entire window frames. I would definitely recommend Apex Windows Works company to anyone who is looking to replace glass in the house, or repair any damaged wood without replacing the entire window frames. Overall satisfaction with the company is superior!

Saw an Apex truck on the road, called and made an appointment. The estimator arrived late, but called in advance to notify that he was running late due to traffic. Spend about 20-35 minutes evaluating the work needed to be done, then provided a reasonable quote. I gave a 30% deposit and was told that within 2 days the office will call me to make an appointment for the work to be done. 2 guys showed up on my door step on the day of the appointment , work began. Took apart 3 of my windows to restore the sash and sills. They made sure to match the wood that I have, which happened to be pine. Majority of the work preformed, took place out of my garage. Please note that these guys make a new sash and sill from scratch on the spot, then make groves in the old sash as well as new to piece them together for a stronger bond. Stained/painted and did all the proper steps to complete the job.The whole process took 6 hours. Windows look great, I am happy, do recommend.

On 3/21/14, Dennis came out and gave me an estimate for the glass replacement. He explained what was wrong with my windows and glazing beads. He was on time and very professional. I agreed with his estimate and gave him approval to do the work. He said it would take 5 days to get the 2 windows and the office would call me to schedule the work. On 3/29/14, Yura and his laborer came to perform the work. They were very polite and professional and was able to communicate with Yura. The original work was completed as agreed. The quality was very good. They cleaned up all debris from inside and outside my house. Unfortunately, while replacing the glazing bead on one window, they cracked the corner of the window glass. (mistakes do happen) Yura immediately brought this to my attention. He said he would call the office and get another glass ordered as soon as possible. On Friday, 4/4/14, Yura arrived to replace the broken glass at no charge to me. I expected as much and was delighted that there were no disagreements and everything went smooth. Overall, I am very happy with Yura and Apex Windows. They performed what was expected and the crew was very professional and easy to deal with. I gave them an overall rating of a "B" because I felt the price was higher than I felt was reasonable.
