They came out the same day I called and completed the job within a half hour. It was a very friendly and easy process.

The original quote was approximately $500 (3 hours labor plus parts). It was to include removal of the existing sing, removing some of the existing exposed galvanized pipe and replacing with copper then adding shutoffs to sink. Additionally, there was an outside spigot that I could not use because the valve could not be opened. The final price was $654. 30% more than the estimate. None of the galvanized piping was removed. I know estimates can run higher than originally quoted within reason.

Was able to schedule an appointment the same day I called. Provider showed up on time. Did the work and updated one part to code. Was careful when bringing in and taking out water heaters. Cleaned up after he was finished. Other than having to have the repair it was a pleasant experience. Have used this provider in the past and would use again.

I called at 130 pm and ask if they could do the work by 5pm the same day. I spoke to Tammy and she told me someone would be at my house by 3 pm , And it would take 45 min to 1 hr . We agreed on the cost of the job . They did absolutely everything she promised. I Love doing business with family owned companies! I have already recommended them to other family members .

We have used Tom's plumbing for several plumbing projects at our house and rental property. The toilet in the master bath was showing its age with tank bolts rusting and breaking off. Called Tom's plumbing and went through a list of options about a replacement toilet. Chose a pressurized assisted flush toilet that they would purchase for warranty purposes. A date and time was scheduled for the work to be completed. Arranged the day off from work to meet the scheduled time. When the scheduled time had passed and there was a no show I contacted Tom's. She apologized for over looking the ticket and not scheduling the work. She said that she would get someone there within the next 2 hours. A plumber arrived less than an hour later. He got to work right away. He pointed out that the cutoff valve was rusted and needed to be replaced also. I agreed to this and he proceeded. The work was done in less than an hour. He left the area clean and hauled away the old unit and boxes and other trash associated with the install. A review of the install was performed and he pointed out to me the warranty information that I need to go on line and accomplish.

Showed up promptly, but had an attitude right from the start. All we wanted was for him to re-route some copper pipe for a new water heated we had already purchased and needed a slightly different pipe configuration to fit. He obviously did not want to do this simple job and proceeded to tell us everything that was wrong with the setup, the heater that was bought and all the codes that were not being met. Very confrontational personality! At one point was walking out the door and still wanted his $125 for the service call. In the end he did the job, but would not guarantee his work.

The worker showed up early. Got right to the work. We had bought the two hours of labor deal that they had for the first two projects. He finished the work quickly and still had some time left, so we had him double-check a toilet install that another vendor did. We had an odor that would just not go away, even after having the previous contractor out a couple of times. His analysis was the same as the other contractor, that the work was done fine. We have since identified the source as the cheap shower curtain from Menards that we had bought at the same time as the toilet install. The odor was so bad, it smelled like sewage, so who would have expected a shower curtain to be the source? I really do appreciate the help from both vendors on trying to correct the problem, even though it didn't exist.

I called Tom's Plumbing at 8:30 AM on 06/19/2015 about a possible clogged sewer drain pipe in our laundry room. This drain had been backing up on to our laundry room floor for the last two days. I was told that they would have a service man at our house between 10 and 12 AM.(Same Day Service) Service man showed up at 10:30 AM, took a look at our problem and got his trusty rodder tool out and had our problem solved within about 45 minutes, he probably would have finished sooner but it took around 22 minutes for our washing machine to cycle into a drain mode so that we could confirm that our clogged drain pipe problem had been resolved. The service an pricing we received from Tom"s Plumbing was excellent and we will certainly use them again. !!! Very IMPRESSED !!!

They did a decent job. It hadn’t leak since.

The leak was not found but we had some molds under the sink that might have caused the leak. Other than that, the service was okay.

There was a problem but they came back and fixed it for free and I am pleased with the overall effect.

It was very good. It is a solid company and they do a nice job. They were quick and they responded easily. The price was competitive in our market. I thought it was reasonable and fair at that time. The best part was the promptness when they came to fix the problem. The plumber was very professional, very competent, well spoken, he explained what was going on, and took care of it. We will hire them again.

I had a very good experience with him. He was very nice and very efficient. The cost of the service was very good and his price was much much better than any price that I got from any of the other people. I called three other companies and his price was the most economical. The price of one company that I called was outrageous. It was like $800 and the other company's price was $500 and his price $100 and something and I was just flabbergasted. It was just unbelievable. He came in, looked at the problem and was able to solve the problem and out he went. He was very professional, as a matter of fact, I am going to call him again because I need a new toilet. He was very very good and I was very pleased with him. He responded right away, he was very punctual and he was right there. He was wonderful.

Called at 8 am and had someone at the house around 11 am same day.

My faucet was leaking about 6 gallons of water in 24 hours. I had to turn water off to the entire house to stop the leak. This was a Holiday week. I called several providers and finally found one who was busy, but provided a number of another company who could possibly do the work. Tom's Plumbing was busy, also, but worked me into their schedule on the day I called. It turned out to be a leaky cartridge and was somewhat difficult to remove. The job was done quickly and professionally. I feel the bill was very fair.

His name is Andy Wahl. Our experience with them was excellent. Their quality work stands out for us. They answer our call right away and they come out. Tom's Plumbing is actually Andy's father, Tom. He is about three quarters retired now. We have known Andy since he was in grade school. They just do a quality job. We would absolutely continue to use them in the future.

I called Tom's Plumbing and reached Tom. I told him what I needed, as I had a venting issue with the toilet for many, many years and was unsure how to get it fixed. He said he would send either Adam or Mike out the next day. Mike came and went straight to work. He told me what was wrong and the price vs. replacing the toilet, which he said was unnecessary unless I really preferred that. He had the valve and fixed the toilet in less than an hour.

I have been needing to get a new water heater, as mine was old and needed to be replaced. I had been procrastinating on the replacement because I needed to be price conscious, but "shopping" local and supporting local businesses of Elgin is also very important to us. I called around to several local and licensed plumbers in the area, but no one was as kind, patient and informative as the Tom's Plumbing crew was. The one plumber Andy, that I spoke with on the phone seemed to be very genuine with me and explained to me all of my options on water heaters and prices. I felt very at ease speaking with him and got the impression that the quality of work Tom's Plumbing offers was their priority along with fair prices. Andy came to our home and was prompt, cordial and professional. The replacement seemed fairly quick and definitely thourough. My husband couldn't believe how meticulous and clean the job was! We are very happy with Tom's Plumbing! I hardly ever write reviews but these guys were great and worth every penny. They are the only plumbers I will use from now on.

He quickly took the faucet apart, put in the new parts and had it working properly in less than 15 minutes.

Responsive and got both items fixed within one trip. Billing was a bit vague, until the bill showed up in the mail.

The plumber Andy was great to work with, he came and inspected our faucet leak and determined that the allen nut was stripped and that a new set would be needed. Rather than pressure me into buying a faucet from him, he told me to go get one for myself to save some money. He came back and put the faucet in and did a great job.
