It didn't that is the problem. After going back and forth, we finally connected and set up an appointment for him to come over. The day and time came and no show or now call. I waited for 45 minutes than tried calling but ended up leaving a voice mail. After another 45 minutes still no show or call. I was more upset about him not contacting me, if an emergency came up or he was still working a job or even changed his mind. That is the least a considerate person could do.

The work went very well, but no information was given at the estimate which created more work for me after the work was done. Such as the bedroom door being hung. it was a wood grain door, when all the other doors in the house were painted white. So now I had to paint the door, The tub caulk was never smoothed out to look professional, so It had to be removed and done properly, the cleaning of the gutters and painting of the rooms were very good. I would just ask questions if you need stuff done so it doesn't cause you more work when he is done. After the work was done it was also very hard to get a hold of him to ask about the door and caulk repairs I had to do. Once he had his money he was gone in the wind.

Great! Sam responded to my phone call quickly, showed up early, got the job done, charged a fair price. Will definitely call him again for work around the house.

Called Sam and he had availability in the next couple of days. He arrived exactly on time, did the work very neatly and methodically. Cleaned up everything. Very organized, would definitely hire him again.

One of the lights was not working. Sam took the time to find the wire that was causing the problem. He couldn't use the lights I had and I couldn't find any closeby, so he offered to pick some up in the afternoon and comeback. Above and beyond!!!

I've hired a number of painters and handymen over the years, and Sam is one of the better ones. From beginning to end, he impressed us. He was quick to setup an in home consultation (which was free), quick to send over a quote (within a few days), and quick to setup a date to do the work (which was within a week of him coming over to do the consultation). Compare this to some of the others who took 1-2 weeks to do an in home consultation, and then anywhere from 3 days to 2 weeks to provide a quote. Sam worked at our home for 2 days: both days he arrived on time, was very professional (and respectful, taking his shoes off each time he came back inside from his truck due to our request for him to do so since we have a child), and clean. I was actually amazed at how clean he ended up being considering the different types of tasks that he performed. He listened well and had solutions which exuded experience and confidence. His quote, when adjusted for some extra things that we requested once he started working, was spot on. We were so pleased with his work that we gave him a tip to reflect the appreciation. One of the greatest things about Sam is that, for the experience, punctuality, and professionalism that he has, his pricing is a massive value. He quoted us $550 for a day's worth of work. We received bids from other companies, some of which are on Angie's List, for up to over $4,000 for the same work (talk about price gouging). Other, more reasonable bids, came in around $1,200. Still, Sam's bid was considerably less, and more in line with what I felt the job was worth. I was actually a little concerned about what kind of result we'd get given the lower bid, but after reading his reviews on Angie's List, felt that it was worth a shot to hire him. Well, it turns out that if you look hard enough, it is possible to still find a high quality handyman with fair pricing. I can't stress this enough - you are getting a tremendous value with Sam. Tremendous. We will use him for all handyman projects that we have in the future and recommend him to friends and family in the area.

He agreed to stop by on a Saturday morning on his way to another job. He was right on time and assessed the work in about 2 minutes. He promptly got to work and had the wiring done in about 10 minutes. After being quoted a price of over $200 by another handyman for the same work, I was very pleased to hear Sam quote $30. We will definitely call Sam again for future jobs.

Sam came out to give us a price, set up a time to come do it, showed up right on time and completed all the work with skill. He is very easy to deal with and will not hesitate to hire him again.

Sam was very responsive, professional and provided details on the work needed through the estimate process. Same arrive on time and completed the work in the agreed upon time frame. I examined the work completed and it was above my expectations. I just finished painting the master bathroom and inspected the areas Sam worked on, very impressed. I would definitely hire him again. It helped with Sam coming to my home for an estimate. I think this provided a good gauge on scope of work and the cost to complete it. I initially reached out to another contractor who did not physically inspect the room and thus the price was 3x the amount.

He has always done great quality work, and always completes the task in a timely manner. He's a real professional!

Work happened as expected. I am happy with the results

I called and Sam came over to look at the job. I showed him what was needed: put up plywood backer for paneling, then put up paneling with a 4” tile pattern on it, install some kitchen cabinets on the sloping basement floor and install a countertop. It was a single bare stud wall with 5 electrical boxes to cut out from the paneling. I had all of the materials. He sent a quote and I said to start on the next Monday. He was on time and started on the plywood. After that he started on the paneling. The top of the paneling fits against a level steel beam and I had marked the studs with verticals from a plumb line. The panels had to go around a post which is not level. He chose the post as a reference. When I looked at it the panels were far from level and the pattern zigzagged across the wall. There were large gaps around the electrical covers from mistaken cutting. He started setting the cabinets by stacking random wood scraps under the cabinets to level them. That would not be stable and I said no. When he started acting angry I ended the project. I had to scrap and replace the paneling he had put up and I did the cabinets and countertop myself. He had worked 1 day and about 2 hours. I paid him for his time to expedite his exit. He said he did not have an invoice form so I had him sign a note as Paid in Full.

Excellent work! Sam did everything described above very well. We are very satisfied. In addition, Sam was always prompt in correspondence, always on time for work, kept the work space impeccable, and took away debris. He always acquiesced to our wishes on the project. Sam also came in under estimate with the final project!
