My present air/ conditioner had not been working for some time and loosing freon. From Angie's List, I selected Climate Control Services and when I called the service I was pleasantly surprised that the owner Tom Wyse answered. He listened carefully as I explained the problem. The appointment was made for the next day. Tom arrived on time, introduced himself and took off his shoes before entering the house. I was pleasantly surprised that he had remembered all of the history and details about my home and heating and cooling system, everything we discussed on the phone. Tom did a thorough inspection of the a/c and in the basement and furnace. He returned at the appointed time with his proposal, description of the work to be done and a brochure of the American Standard air conditioners. It was very important to me to select an a/c that would not only be efficient, but also very quiet when in operation. This is because the a/c would be located next to the bedroom areas. (the present air conditioner was installed away from the house and the connections were underground. This was due to the high level of noise and vibrations while the air conditioner was in operation). I selected the American Standard Gold X1 air conditioner after reading all about it in the brochure and Tom gave me its website so I felt very informed and satisfied with my decision. Tom's team Dan and Chris arrived at the appointed time, and were as polite and professional as Tom. After introducing themselves, they got right to work after placing coverings in the foyer. They worked carefully and steadily. They got the new a/c up and running and so quiet!! It was beautifully installed and the wiring in the basement all connections perfectly installed. They cleaned the area and took away the old a/c. Tom came to do a thorough inspection the next day. He even fixed the furnace exhaust system to vent the fumes away from the house and windows. Also,he installed a new battery in the carbon monoxide alert box inside the house! I am very pleased and very satisfied. I started out wanting a couple of pounds freon added to my upstairs AC unit. After calling around & discovering that the costs would be ~$200 for recharge (cost was $100 last year) plus knowing this would have to be done every year (& be more expensive) or invest at least $200 more to determine where the leak is plus the cost to fix the leak I decided it was time to change out 24 year old furnace & AC that struggled to keep upstairs cool. Tom is very knowledgeable & takes the time to educate his customers to help them make the best decision for them. Tom did not quote the top of the line system but quoted the best bang for the buck system. The quote contained upgrade & downgrade options which I checked out thoroughly. Tom's quoted system was the sweet spot. Chris & Dan were the installers, both very professional, respectful of property & knew what they were doing. The install was a full days work for both of them & the quality of the install is significantly better than the previous unit. Tom returned the next day to ensure all was working properly, measure air flow from vents, etc. Tom helped me to understand that keeping vents open in closets would be better than closing & letting closets heat up. Bottom line is new AC unit keeps upstairs cooler than it ever was while running less often. Room temperatures are even including closets due to furnace fan being on all the time at low speed circulating air. It made such a difference in the upstairs & decided to change out the downstairs a week later in order to obtain even room temperatures throughout the downstairs. To ensure even temperature would be obtained in my den, Tom installed a louvered high & low return vent. Tom also installed start capacitors in the condenser units when I mentioned I thought the unit started hard. I very highly recommend Tom & his crew for any HVAC work needed.

Great service is something that is rare these days but not today! I called Climate Control Services at 11AM and received a call back at 11:04 AM from Tom Wyse. Told him my issue that I was having with my AC and he said he should be at my home within the hour. Approximately 10 minutes later Tom was at my door. He was very professional, took off his shoes before entering my home and went to work. He told me that my run/start capacitor had failed and provided a cost to replace it. I agreed to the price and within less than 15 minutes my AC unit was back up and running. He also recommended that I switch to a different less expensive filter that would provide more air flow resulting in faster cooling. Being an Angie's List member Tom gave me the $30 discount on the service call. I was very happy the service call, in addition that this was the fastest service I have ever received from a service company! I will definitely use Climate Control Services for all our HVAC needs from this point on. Thanks Tom Wyse for your great service.

I purchased an Angie's List deal to receive service for $49. I called ten minutes later and scheduled an appointment the next Friday. The tech called in advance to let me know he was arriving. He showed up, performed the service, and told me what he did. He was prompt and very polite. I would use Climate Control Services again.

Overall, I couldn't be more satisfied with the work performed by Climate Control Services. My furnace and AC were 20 years old, so I received three estimates for a complete system replacement. I chose Climate Control Services as one of the three because of the A grade on Angie's List and all the positive comments. I met with Tom Wyse from Climate Control Services for an estimate. Tom was punctual and thorough. He discussed the different types and efficiency levels of furnace/AC and really took the time to explain why I should consider a certain type of furnace/AC. He also stressed the importance of a quality installation, which I really appreciated. I received a detailed estimate via email the day after his visit. Although their estimate was a little higher than others, I felt confident using this company because of the emphasis Tom placed on a quality installation and customer satisfaction. The furnace and AC were installed a little less than a week later. Because of some late afternoon committments I had, I asked if the installers could get started earlier than planned and they obliged without any issue. The installers, Dan and Chris, arrived at 7:30 am and were very courteous. They covered all the floors before getting started and worked very efficiently. Tom stopped by a few times during the day to see how the replacement was going. The install was completed by 4 pm that afternoon, without any issues. When the install was complete, Dan walked me through the installation and took the time to explain how to program the new thermostat. I'll be recommending Climate Control Services to my friends and family!

Tom is great! HONEST work, labor and advice. I WILL be using this company when we replace our A/C and Furnace!

Tom Wyse came out to fix my A/C. I was worried I might need a new unit. Upon his inspection he discovered a few very interesting facts. First, there was absolutely nothing wrong with the unit. The problem was with the electrical. Last fall I had Green Heat from Skokie come out to clean my air ducts and furnace. While here they talked me into getting 2 Germicidal Ultra Violet Lights and an Electra Gold Anti-microbial Electrostatic Air Filter at a cost of $1575. I was told that because I have allergies and a dog I could not live without these. They would greatly improve my health and the cleanliness of the ducts and furnace. I fell for it. Tom discovered that Green Heat did not properly reconnect the electrical, which was why my A/C was not working. He also informed me that his company never installs the ultra violets lights in residences, only in medical facilities. These lights have to be changed annually at a cost of $200, which Green Heat never told me. He also said I did not have the right furnace for the fancy filter to do an adequate job. In other words, I felt like a fool. Do not hire Green Heat to do any work for you, which, by the way, I found on Angie's List. For any future work I will gladly call Tom at Climate Control and highly recommend them for their professionalism.

Wonderful job, very professional from start to finish. We love the outcome and we are extremely happy with our new furnaces and air conditioners. These guys really know their jobs and you can see that they take pride in their work. Worth the higher price tag to have such qualified installers. It took two full days to complete our job and then Tom came back the third night, late, because of our schedules, to go over everything with myself and my husband. I would highly recommend Climate Control to anyone needing new heating and air conditioning units.

Overall a very good experience. Tom came out quickly to provide an estimate. He explained the options I had and provided a quote by evening. Installation went as planned, Dan and Chris were clean, courteous and knew their jobs well. Tom followed up with preparation for inspection and explanation of all that was done.

The crew arrived on time and worked diligently as promised. Tom followed up on their work in person and by phone on both days and called us the day after installation to make sure things were working perfectly, which they were. Our experience couldn't have been better.

The blower went out on my furnace and Climate Control responded quickly to my request for service. They provided a thorough estimate and explanation of replacing the part versus replacing the furnace, since it is older and my husband and I have considered doing that. We ultimately decided to replace the part and Climate Control completed the service as quickly as possible. We first called on a Friday and the part was not available until Monday. They provided space heaters to get us through the weekend, which worked well. I appreciated the complete explanations, prompt and professional service.

I purchased this deal for my elderly mother's furnance to be checked. Climate Control arrived promptly with the most wonderful customer service! He explained how and why the furnace that my mother got 2 years ago was installed incorrectly. He performed the cleaning and inspection as planned and gave us an estimate on having the furnace installed properly. We have booked our appoint with this company and they will be returning on 3/23/2013 to do this job.

Tom Wyse came out to help us. He did an outstanding job. He got the proper hoses, fixed it all up, set up some fans to dry up the puddle, and fixed it all in one visit, after a year of it causing you problems. It ended up saving us a lot of money compared to the cost of a new furnace. We have had basement leaks so we were worried about water in the basement, so we were so happy he did a great job. He bonded instantly with our two dogs, he was just a warm and friendly guy. I would highly recommend him to anyone. When we called, he did offer to come out right when we called on Sunday, but we decided to schedule it for non-emergency rates. He still scheduled us in very promptly.

Climate Control Services' owner came and talked to us. He came out and did the inspection himself. He had a recommendation, he gave us several options and prices. He told us about financing. He came back and did a follow-up. He also sent out one of his electricians when we had a problem with the way the things were done in the house. He came out when he said he was going to. I think he was a little late but he'll let us know that he's on his way. I think the price was fair for everything he did.

Good explanation of furnace capabilities and costs with estimate. I always try to use local companies and this one was excellent. Installation was as expected - on time, and very efficient. They left the house as it was before they came - just warmer!!! Thank you Tom, Chris and Dan!!!

Spoke to Tom and he said he would do his best to get to me by around 10:00 AM which was the earliest anybody had told me. Tom showed up and was quickly able to figure out what was wrong, quoted me what I believe to be a verry fair price to get me back up and running which I agreed to. He ordered the part I needed and told me he would be back to install it around 5:00 PM. He left some space heaters to help me keep the house warm and returned when he said he would, quickly replacing the bad blower and getting my furnace working again. He was extremely knowledgeable and very professional. I will most definitely use and recomend him again.

The company was very professional, prompt, and courteous. I thought this was for a cleaning, but that is my fault for not reading the offer thoroughly. I would definitely use them again.
