A week ago last Thursday we spoke with Tom Wyse of Climate Control Services, LLC about obtaining a quote for the installation of a furnace and air conditioner for our approximately 1850 square foot townhome. The following Monday Tom stopped by our place to size up our home and by the end of the day we had an email with an attached report showing the heating and cooling load size necessary to properly heat and cool our home, and another email with a price quote. The furnace and AC were installed last Friday. Today (Tuesday) Tom was here again to be sure the product and installation process met our expectations. The fact is, they exceeded our expectations. Part of the reason we picked Climate Control Services to install our new furnace and AC was the long list of stellar reviews on Angie’s List. I could recite many of the same praises shown in those reviews but suffice it to say they were not exaggerated. For about 25 years including the past 15 years following the purchase of a new townhome in 2004, we had been customers of another heating and cooling company that services all of Chicagoland. During that time we faithfully used the company for annual maintenance and inspections, paid for at least two fairly costly furnace repairs and one AC repair, purchased a new humidifier and paid for a repair of it. We fully expected to use them when the time came to replace our furnace and AC, but their opening bid was $15,000 which was several thousand dollars higher than the market price for a townhome our size, based upon what neighbors have paid for similar installations in similarly sized townhomes. It became clear that the modus operandi for this company was to obtain from its customers – even those who have been loyal customers for many years - the highest price that they would possibly bear. This forces customers who may be unfamiliar with the technical jargon and technical specifications of the various alternatives to haggle for a fair price and places them at a huge disadvantage. This is not our kind of a company, and we now feel that our loyalty to them was misplaced. In contrast, Tom Wyse evaluates the needs and wants of his customer, fulfills them with a high quality product and service – that is no more nor less than what they want and need – and does so at fair price. This is our kind of a company, and one to which we are confident our future loyalty will not be misplaced.

The installers did a great job, took the time to talk with me and show and explain what they were doing. It was a great experience.

I highly recommend Climate Control Services. They just replaced my old furnace, A/C, and water heater, adding a humidifier and smart thermostat. Tom Wyse, the owner, came to evaluate my needs and explained what he was recommending. He never tried to sell me on anything above what was best suited for my house. He sent proposals the same day for me to review. The price was fair and reasonable. He even takes care of any applicable rebates for you, and builds that into the final price. His excellent crew was prompt and professional, removing old equipment and installing new in about seven hours (which amazed me). They come completely prepared, with the ability to fabricate on-site. Before they left, they made sure I knew how everything worked and how filters were to be replaced. Tom came another day to run through everything again and answer any questions I had. I’m really happy with the new quality equipment, and with the first-rate service I received from everyone at Climate Control Services.

I originally had an estimate done in July. Tom Wyse came out and performed a full home inspection and took measurements. He went through all the options, had a good idea what I needed and offered his recommendations. He did note that he wanted to finish the load calc prior giving his full opinion. After he left, I had the estimates with my options in my e-mail that night. He was extremely professional and knowledgeable. I ended up postponing a decision until October due to some family reasons. When I reengaged, he was quick to respond; no different than when I first contacted him in July. I approved and he took care of the necessary paperwork. He did know I had issues with my furnace earlier that year and offered two options: give me space heaters in case something happened prior to the installation or move other jobs around to get me in sooner. With it being my fault for delaying, I declined, but it was an extremely nice to know he was willing to go the extra mile. The installation was just as seamless. The crew of 2 came in, were clean and had me up and running before 5 PM. They went through the system with me prior to leaving. Being a newer home owner, I couldn't have been more pleased with the complete experience for my first major project.

Ricardo and Tom were terrific and they got me back up and running same day repairing a broken blower and shorted out control board. Tom was also very helpful in making suggestions between the time I scheduled the service and the time the service was performed. He went above and beyond. I would highly recommend and I would definitely hire again.

The technician came out and added 3 pounds of freon the basic visit was a reasonable $75.00 the freon was around 100 dollars per pound. Apparently the old style F-22 will no longer be produced after 2020. The young man was very professional and explained everything to me.

Tom Wyse from Climate Control was very professional and courteous. Upon arrival he quickly diagnosed the problem and was able to fix it. Albeit, no one wants to have to shell out dough for a broken appliance but Tom’s pricing seemed fair and upfront. Overall, I would use Climate Control again for any other HVAC problems.

Tom was excellent from the initial estimate request through after the installation was complete. He answered all of my questions patiently and gave me several options for my HVAC system, answering questions along the way to help us make the best selection for our wants and needs. The installation is clean and professional looking. Tom came out the next day to do a walkthrough and review the finished product and show us some features of the system. The price was fair, the finished product is high quality, and most importantly, the house is comfortable. We will use Climate Control Services for all of our HVAC needs moving forward and highly recommend them.

They were on time and very polite. Performed a good service and told us how much longer they thought we had on the A/C (15 years old already)

They are excellent and give a typed report that I can read and understand. I would highly recommend them and I will continue to use them.

CCS took my call and made an appointment for the same day. They said between 12pm - 2pm, but were here promptly at 12pm. Turns out fireplace ash got in my furnace filter. They replaced it, cycled it, and made sure it was the issue. They also cleaned up the inside of the furnace while they waited, and answered some questions I had about the install and design of my heating system.
