It went excellent. He came out and picked it up. He then fixed it and brought it back when he was done.

Awesome! Service was exactly what was advertised and we were very satisfied. Very personable and helpful and snowblower is running great! It's never started up so easily.

Elwood came all the way out to Wilmette, from Elgin, and did the work in < 30 min from his truck. The appointment was for a date ~ ~4-5 days after I called, he was very prompt and excedingly friendly. Needless to say, everything worked great afterwards. This guy is a rare treat; A businessman who is honest, grateful for business, talented, delivers what he promises and for a very reasonable fee. I would without reservation refer anyone to him. I will definitely use him again. Too bad more of our household needs can't be met by someone like Elwood.

AAM's Small Engine Repair is pretty good. He was on time and he knew what he was doing.

Just like I read in the reviews here: All work was done in company's truck in front of my house thus saving me from having to bring the lawnmower in my car to a repair shop. The repair work was complete in about 20 minutes. This was the mowers first tune up in many years (even though I change the oil every season) Also the transmission of my self-propelled walk-behind mower had not been working right fro several seasons and I asked Elwood to repair it. He told me that if it required any parts he did not have on his truck, that he would have to take back to his shop and return later in the week. This was OK with me BUT as it turned out he was able to repair it on site same visit. I felt the price paid was very fair. The appointment was made in one phone call and I got the next available time he was in my area about 6 days later. This was fine for me. For customers expecting same-day on-site service, it may not be possible due to existing schedules and routing but I knew this was to be expected from the reviews and I had time on my side. For me waiting the few days for quality on-site service at a good price was perfect. The operator (Elwood) was personal and professional.

We appreciated the honesty as well as he promptness in getting back to us so we could make a choice before the winter season hit.

The tech did a very thorough job and spent a little time explaining how to keep the mower in good repair. We were in and out in no time.

I called and set up the appointment, he said 8am on 5/16/2013 and he was there at 7:55am very prompt, very knowledgable, his truck is his shop and very reasonable. Yes I would use his services again in a heartbeat.

I took my lawn mower to AAM's early in the morning. My mower was fixed in 20 minutes. I was given some tips on how to keep my mower running efficiently, and prolong the engine life. If I have any problems with my mower or snow blower going forward, I will take them to AAM's!

My experience with Aam's Small Engine Repair was excellent. I especially liked the fact that Aam's comes to the house. I didn't have to transport my mower to a repair shop, wait days to get it repaired, and then transport it back home. My mower was fixed correctly and quicker than I expected. I am happy to give Aam's a review of straight A's.

Purchased a lawn mower tune up promotion from Angie's List and brought my mower in for the service. The work was done within a couple of days. Brought the mower home and it started right up! Would definitely do business again!

The owner is SO nice. He called us to set up the service for our lawnmower, came out and picked it up and was completed with the work so quickly. He then called to arrange drop off to our home. We got our lawn mower repaired and ready for this season without leaving our house. We will definitely use his services again to keep our lawn mower running well.

I took it in to the shop and the work was completed as promised. With the draught last year I didn't use it right away and when I did I noticed the gas was leaking. They came to my home and repaired it in a short time at no charge. I'd definitely use AAM's again.

He just took care of it while I waited - it was great!

The tune-up took less than 1/2 hour and my lawn mover still starts up after it was serviced a year ago.
