AAM'S SMALL ENGINE REPAIR

I called and got it done in 1 day. Since I have not used it yet, I cannot say much but overall good service. Aam was good and responsive.

I purchased an Angie's List coupon to have a tune up performed. My Sears brand lawn mower would not start. The unit needed a new carburetor, which had to be ordered. Entire repair took a little under 2 weeks. Service was satisfactory, but found my mower outside sitting exposed to the elements (it had rained that day) as they seem to store most projects next to their shop uncovered. Cost of repair was fair, but wish they had stored it in a better, protected space. I don't leave my mower outside and neither should a repair shop. But I am generally pleased with he work otherwise.

He did a geat job. Both of them work fine. The best part is he came to my house and did the work on the back of his truck. It only took him about an hour. I will definitely use him again.

My son says the mower worked great. Since it is this old and a Sears product, we know that Sears(previous tune-ups) would charge a lot more for the tune-up due to its age..

Thought it was the coil after he left tried it out and it died on me immediately called and he came back later that day and fixed lawnmower.

Professional and responsive. Satisfied with the work. Would use again.

July 1. First fix did not solve problem. $60. Second call, different fix attempted, no charge, did not fix problem. Costing money to have lawn mowed. Third try.........ordered new ignition coil....................back ordered....took awhile. Communications a little trying, only fair, but acurate. Fourth call................new coil installed, cleaned battery terminals, runs great! $88.50 Happy at last! Mr. Markbery is a very nice, no BS guy; nice to do business with this man.

It was great. The guy came out on time and when he said he was going to come. He was very pleasant and got right to work and did it. The snow blower ran well and there is nothing bad to say about them.

there were no problems with lawn mower. purchased a tune-up deal as a courtesy to my lawn mower and was happy to have the tune-up performed at my house. i've not been home when the checks and cleaning service have been performed, just leave the mower inside the gate, and the work is done on scheduled day. said mower is still running well and i give that credit to AAM's service.

I purchased this service as part of an Angie's List deal. The cost was approximately what I pay to take my lawn mower in to have it serviced at a local facility. I thought it would be more convenient to have the service done at my house for approximately the same price (this is what was described in the deal promotion). When I called to schedule the service and told them I bought it through Angie's List they asked if I wanted to bring it in. I explained that the deal had indicated that it would be done at my house. The person on the phone did say that was possible and we scheduled the service, but she didn't seem too happy about having to send someone out to my location. If a deal is advertised as one thing and then the business seems reluctant to honor that agreement, then I'll just take my mower to my local facility in the future. I was not actually home during the service, but my wife indicated that the man doing the service was very polite and the mower functioned as expected afterwards.

We purchased a special rate on Angie's List for a snowblower tune-up. We had a snowblower that had been used only one time and then sat inside unused for several years. AAM's Small Engine Repair came all the way to the city of Chicago from their location in Elgin to service on-location which is part of their business. It was so convenient because no one had a truck to carry the snowblower, let alone that no one wanted to attempt to lift the machine and risk a hernia. I think it was one of the owners who came to service the machine. He showed me how it worked and how to get it ready for the next season. It was a very positive experience and we would use them again, we highly recommend them.

Did a good job in decent time. Went back the next week with my in laws lawn mower and they handled well too. Price was very fair.

Ran a little late but called in advance to let me know. Performed service quickly and gave me a discount for the two machines. Took a little extra time to show me where the drain on the gas tank on the snow blower was so that I can empty the gas at the end of the season without just letting it run until empty. Very pleasant to talk with and still very efficient. Have used them the past two years and will continue to do so.

Aam's Small Engine Repair did a good job. There was some problem and he came back and fixed it without charging me. He responded. He said that he was going to some and he came.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It went well. They were good.

Piece o' cake. It was an Angie's List promotional deal - half-price. He came in a truck that had all his equipment. He did the work right on the liftgate of the truck. He was friendly - we chatted some, but mostly I just let him work. That was three winters ago, and I have not had to service the snow blower since. (It got through the 21-inch blizzard we had three months later beautifully). If needed, I would use him again, except that I have since moved out of the area.

Amazing service; we took the mower from the car, he asked "do you have a few minutes?" and he serviced it right then and there. In 10 minutes I was on my way home with no return trip necessary to pick up my mower. I have never received such service!

They were prompt and did a good work.

The service was excellent. The guy knew what he was doing. He took my mower in as soon as we went there. He took just 15 minutes to do everything. He emptied the old engine oil, poured in new oil, sharpened the blade, changed the filter and spark plug as promised in the deal and was always telling me how to maintain the mower in the future. My mower had never seen any maintenance and he made it work like new. Thanks a bunch to him!

When I first went to use it basically it's dying on me, so I had to have arrange to come out and fix so they would run. And then after he did that it would basically not running smoothly and it took him so long to do the fix, I didn't call him back to coordinate doing anything.
