AAM'S SMALL ENGINE REPAIR

I have a 4-year old Honda S520 single-stage snowblower. It has been quite reliable up until a few weeks ago. When I put it away after last season, I neglected to run the engine until all the gas was used up. When I took it out to get it ready for this season, it would not start. I suspected a gummed-up carburetor, since there was no gasoline odor in the exhaust. After researching Angie's list, I found AAM. From reading the reviews, I was pleasantly surprised to learn that they make house calls. So I called on 12/26 to schedule an appointment. The owner, Mr. Marksberry, answered and said he could come out the following Monday. (Another pleasant surprise - given the early snows we've had so far, I thought it'd be weeks to get an appointment.) Mr. Marksberry arrived at the appointed time and promptly hoisted the snowblower onto the back of his truck for examination. (Btw, he's doing this outside on a 5 degree morning). After about ten minutes, I hear the snowblower engine roaring to life again. He explained to me that the gas left in the carb had gone stale, preventing the engine from starting. He fixed it by draining the carb so that fresh gas could get in. He further explained that the choke adjustment was off and in order to adjust it, he'd have to bring it in to his shop. However, the blower could be used for this season as is. After adding some engine cleaner to the gas tank, the blower was ready to go. After this snow season, I plan to have AAM do a full tune-up. All in all, a very positive experience.

I drove to AAM's to get my snow blower tuned up. They performed the service while I waited, and Aaron took the time to tell me a lot of information about my snow blower and how to keep it in good running condition. The service exceeded my expectations, and I will be taking my lawnmower to them in the spring.

It was wonderful! The tune-up was completed in just about an hour so I was able to bring it home same day. This is probably the first tune up on my snowblower which is about 28 years old and he got it to start smoother & no longer backfires when you shut it off. Excellent work - thanks again! I will use them again & recommend them to others.

dropped off the lawnmower, he tagged it quickly and let me know the time frame. called when he finished but wasn't able to pick up for a couple more days. Lawn Mower ran like new after i picked it up.

This guy is very inexpensive. We have a large snow blower that will not fit into any of our cars. He came here to fix it right here in front of the house. He came out within a day and he was punctual.

Took my 2 year old Snow Thrower to AAM's. They are on my route to work. Last year my thrower wouldn't start unless i kept priming it. Even after starting, it would die if I took it off choke. When I arrived, I was greeted at the door. He helped my get the thrower out of my vehicle. Offered to fix it while I waited. I needed to get to work. I asked him to call me when it was done. It was done before lunch. I picked it up got it home and it started 2nd pull without the choke on! great Job AAM's!

I plan to use them again. His workshop is not that far from the house. I think he did a very good job. I did see that they would pick up as well, but I just took it over to the shop. I think he was an honest business man and the lawnmower certainly runs very well since he tuned it up, so I've got to say that he knows what he is doing. It struck me as though he is a very honest business man.

He was on time, he did all the adjustments, the lawn mower looked clean and worked great afterword.

As he did before, Elwood did an excellent job cleaning and tuning up my lawn mower for the summer. He was prompt in scheduling and on time!

We used an early bird coupon. WHILE I WAITED!!! No waiting 2 months to get my snow blower back. New gas filter, new spark plug, cleaned injector, dumped out old gas, put in new, checked blades cleaned it all up and gave us some pointers on storage etc.. These guys are the best around.

Got me in right away, and was very timely in tuning up the lawn mower.

It was very convenient. Scheduling was easy and AAM showed up promptly with his mobile shop. It was great not having to have my mower hauled away and just have everything done on-site.

The technician replaced the spark plug, cleaned the engine, and primed the carburetor and started the engine right up. I was able to use the snow thrower all winter with his servicing. I was so impressed, I contacted him to service my power mower before lawn mowing season.

I had a very good experience. I took my lawnmower that I had not used in 4 years for tune up. They were very quick to get on the job. They replaced oil, cleaned air filter and sharpened the blade. Since the engine was dying when moved out of choke, they cleaned the front end of carburetor and filled high octane gas to get the engine to start and clean itself. The flap on the back of my lawn mower was broken. They replaced it free of cost, since they had a spare flap. They helped me the load and unload the lawn mower. Since I am looking to buy a snow blower I asked for their advice and they gave me some good tips. I was able to get in and get out very quickly and I could squeeze this in during my lunch break. My lawnmower has been working like a charm since the tune up. I strongly recommend them.
