Description of Work: Expecting a contraxter to drive that amount of mileage for this small a job is stupid. Angi get real.

Description of Work: Replace vinyl siding and windows on detached garage. Installation was sloppy, contractor ordered windows not quite the right size and cut king studs to fit them. Needed to call this out to get another stud placed in there. Not all vinyl siding put on overlapping in same direction which makes seams more visible. | |Pretty sure window has a broken seal of some sort already (3 years old). | |Company auto billed my credit card a 2nd time months later but they were quick to correct. I believe this was an honest mistake.

Description of Work: I went through Servicemagic online and they provided me with a list of 4 companies, I check the names with Angies list and chose Handyman & Remodeling Services. Servicemagic got back to me on March 11th and then Handyman & Remodeling Services also got back to us thru email and a phone call from Shannon, on March 11th as well. I called them (Handyman & Remodeling Services) on March 12th and spoke with Shannon and set up an estimate for March 17th at 1100am. On March 12th, later that day, R. Schampers (he said his name was Chad) called to find out a bit more about the job to be done. On March 17th, we waited until 1130am, no one arrived nor did they call to say they would be late. I called Chads phone number but there was no answer and was not able to leave a message. Then I called Handyman Remodeling Services and got an answering service, I left a message but no one ever called me back. I did call Shannons number as well and got the answering service again and left a message, no one returned my call.

Description of Work: Showed up on time, professional and honest. Once work started it was slow and the contractor took a job "down south" for about a month and couldn't complete the job. He said he would not be able to return phone calls because he would be on “roaming” charges. Once he came back and finished, he did a great job on carpentry, but a terrible job on our gutters. After repeated attempts to contact contractor, I finally called the owner of the local firm and they had to send a new handyman. The new handyman was very responsive and professional. He completed the rest of the job like a pro.
