We like them because they can always come out when we need them. Every employee has always been very courteous and respectful of our home. They are fabulous!

It was around the holidays. We called them at night time during the weekend and the guy came in a hour. He was very honest in the work he did. He fixed the furnace right away. He was excellent!

I think he did a great job. He came out right away and since it was winter that was great. He did not have the right part with him to fix it, but made it work so we had heat right away and he came back with the part the next day. When he came with it, he was very good about explaining the work to me that needed to be done.

Above and beyond fantastic. I would call them any time.

Brian and Steve first came to my home and gave me an estimate for the work to be done. As my hot water heater was wedged in a small area between a wall and my furnace, and after they took some measurements, I was told that it would be a tight squeeze, but they could do the job. A week later, Brian and Nels appeared at my house ready to tackle the job. They were able to move my furnace just enough to remove the heater, after also removing/replacing a pipe that was obstructing the heater. Brian and Nels were fast, efficient and hard working. They even cleaned up after the work was completed. I was thoroughly happy with the job they did and highly recommend them.

The plumber removed several ceiling tiles, which made a mess,and then did not put them back.

They did a very professional job on the installation and used copper piping and installed new gas and water valves. The price was a bit high, but well worth it for the quality of work.

Chip arrived on time, was courteous and friendly, and quickly diagnosed the problem. There was a concern, that an interior valve was not working, but he found that it was OK. He quickly replaced the exterior faucet, explained the work, and gave me some helpful advice concerning hoses, winter, etc. He worked quickly and effectively, and did exactly what was requested, with no diversions or complications. His work is warranted, and I will return to Stephens Plumbing for future plumbing jobs.

The toilet in my upstairs bathroom overfilled and flooded the entire upstairs and part of the downstairs living area. The mechanism that kept the toilet from overfilling was broken and the water poured out after flushing for about ten minutes until the damage was discovered. Chad from Stevens Plumbing repaired the toilet and advised us to replace it. He ordered a new toilet and installed it on a subsequent visit. Chad also inspected and repaired the downstairs toilet. He was very knowledgeable and informative. Both the new toilet and the repaired one work beautifully - no malfunctions since his visit in November 2006.

Old sewer line was discovered to be full of tree roots after being videoed by the sanitary district. Steve came out and replaced said line - it was a big job. He hauled away every bit of extra dirt and old cast iron, patched the concrete like a professional, and encouraged me to take pictures of the work in progress so I would know how the new line was laid out. I was only without "facilities" for two hours due to his foresight and planning. They went above and beyond to keep dirt out of the house, and even swept up after finishing.

Nick did very nice job. Completed job in a timely manner, cleaned everything up when he was done.

Overall, I was pretty pleased. My regular plumber could not come for a week! I checked the list and picked Stephens. I would have preferred to accomplish the repair immediately, but they could not do it. The tech said what he would do and did what he said. I would certainly not hesitate to call them again. I am planning to replace my furnace & AC in the fall and they do this too. They will be on my short list for a quote.

At 10am on Saturday, we found the guest toilet does not fill the tank, and the housewarming party was to start at 4pm. At 12pm, the plumber showed up, replaced needed parts (essentially all internals of the tank) and made it work. On our request, walked around the house assessing other needed repairs. Explained what work may be done, and what is not needed. For example, recommended against the water heater replacement, but made a good point that with a reconfiguration if one heater will fail (we have two), then we would be able to run on the second one, which is not the case now.

Tony and Mike were extraordinarily pleasant to work with, explained everything in detail, took the time to fix a couple additional existing problems, and were very professional. I couldn't be happier with the experience.

The plumber arrived on time, worked efficiently, and kept me apprised of what was happening. Total time around 1.5 hours.

I called Stephens and made an appointment. They told me to be sure that my village water department check to make sure the shut-off valve at the street was working. I called the village, told them what was to be done; they seemed concerned and told me that they would have a truck over while the plumber was working. When I told them the Stephens was doing the job, the village engineer said: "oh, no problem. Just give us a call if his key does not fit". It made me very happy to hear that the village considers them "no problem". The work was done quickly. When the plumber could not get the water shut off with his key, I had the village come out with their's. While waiting for the shut-off, the plumber did as much as he could on the job. All in all, they do good work.

Called for service at noon and came out to complete the job in the afternoon. The service is good, the plumber is knowledgeable, and the job is professionally done.

Don Anselmo determined that the pump was operating normally. The noise was coming from a pipe that touched one of the wooden supports for the floor, thus amplifying the pumps vibrations. Don put a small sponge between the pipe and the wood... I haven't heard the pump since. An effective and creative solution. The rest of the work was completed to my satisfaction.

Work was done in a timely manner. All within 24 hours. Everything in shower is working and looks great. Cleaned up and left no mess. I would definitely call Stephens Plumbing again. Very professional and quick to respond.

They did a good job. The technician we had was knowledgeable about radiators and showed me how to bleed them so I could do it in the future (he even left me a key to do it). It took him a long time to get to get to all the radiators, and he also checked out our combo unit and replaced the filter with one that he had in his van. He was at our house for 2-3 hours.

Last year I got three estimates for a new furnace from three local vendors. We didn't have the work done then, but I liked Stephens best, so I called them back this year. Dave Arnquist told me about the various options, and he was frank about which ones were worthwhile and which ones were "bells and whistles." We ended up going with a single-stage 92% efficient York. The new furnace vents out the side of the house instead of the chimney, so he patched where it feeds into the chimney, and then ran a liner down the chimney for the hot water heater to vent through. Besides installing the furnace, he had to run some drain pipe for condensation runoff. He considered how the whole system would work, and made what look like very good decisions, and explained them all to us as he was working and when it was all done. This was very helpful to us. The finished system is neat as a pin and very solid. He was on time and on budget and the new furnace works like a champ. Highest recommendation.

Kelly did a free estimate and then returned to do the work. He was polite, on time, explained everything and did a great job. Scheduling was easy and the office staff was very nice and efficient. A real person answers the phone, not voice mail!

They answered the phone and were immediately able to schedule an appointment. On the day of the appointment, we were called when they were on the way. Chip was polite and professional, completed the work quickly and provided advice for future maintenance.

Brian was quick and efficient with the rodding. The drain was running in less than 10 minutes. The outside faucet was a more difficult task as the piping ran through a crawl space. Brian did a great job with the faucet. I found Stephens Plumbing to be prompt, neat and efficient with both tasks. I would hire them again without hesitation.

I was very pleased with the company. Frank Pyrcik, their project manager, was very responsive and attentive in the bid process and followed through during the installation process to ensure satisfaction. The primary installer, Mike Litwin, was most professional, thorough, skillful, always on time, and clean. He did everything but the shower door which was ordered last for a custom fit and I was most pleased with him and his craftsmanship. The shower door was installed by Tony Claus. He not only did an excellent installation, but was considerate to our just having put in new wood floors and wore shoe mitts to accommodate our concern of trafficking on it with work shoes this early. Although I may have solicited a lower price, I consider them competitive and cost-effective when considering reliability, quality, satisfaction and one stop shopping.
