Stephens Plumbing

I had a 50 gallon hot water tank installed on 7/5/2008. The tank started leaking recently (November 2015). I called Stephens to see if the tank was under warrantly. They said it wasn't, that the warranty only lasted six years. I always purchase extended warranties and appliances with the longest life. My other hot water tank has a 12 year warranty. If Stephens would have told me the warranty was only good for six years, I would have purchased an extended warranty for this tank as well. In addition, six years seems like an awfully short period of time for a hot water tank to fail.

He was friendly, quick, and cleaned-up completely. Great job and done in 30 minutes.

It went excellent; Mike was here every morning for a week at 8 am, and he worked until 4 o' clock, only taking a half hour for lunch each day. I would hire them again for any remodeling we did. Price-wise it was within our expectations, and he did very well with checking out our heating and air conditioning, as well as taking care of our plumbing. They cleaned up after themselves well--there was nothing left behind. There was nothing that could be considered trash that they didn't clean up.

I like them because they stood behind their work because they replaced the switch to our old sump pump and when it broke down shortly thereafter, they fixed it for free and then it broke down shortly thereafter and they were able to replace the whole pump at no charge so I thought that was good of them.

During my emergency call, the panic in my voice was detected. I thought I had a bigger problem than just a faulty switch. The company supervisor also came out on a Sunday night! I have 6 bathrooms in my house and I use Stephen's exclusively. I ALWAYS get great service, especially when I have an emergency. Stephens Plumbing should be on your TOP PROVIDER list.

We were getting estimates from several people for new furnace/AC/water heater. I had had an estimate from Stephens for just AC in the spring, as well as a great experience with the AC technician, so I included Stephens on our list. When the guy came out he did a thorough job of inspecting our existing situation/appliances. He thought we shouldn't replace the furnace (it was only about 5 years old but NOT HE) and tried to caution us against getting HE just to get HE rebates. I appreciated his honesty at the time. He said he would get a quote to us in a few days (although all the other companies gave us immediate/same day quotes). I said ok. A few days later I had not yet received a quote so I called the company. They gave me the run around for a bit and then said they would call him and find out where the quote was at (he was out on a service call.) They didn't get back to me, so I called again. The woman I spoke with said he hadn't done one and that he was not one of their sales persons and she didn't know when a quote would be done. I told her I was making a decision in a few days and would she please send one to me. I never heard back and went with another company in the end.

Steve, the plumber on the job was very good at explaining everything to us, and they did an excellent job. Kevin, one of the customer service reps, did a great job at making sure that we got just the right kind of toilet for us. We've been very happy with their selection.

All work was done exactly as described, on time, neatly and efficiently. We spoke with Matt Claus, who gave us the estimate and did a fair amount of the work. His other workers were also excellent, polite and neat. All described above was done in 4 days over a 6 day period. The guy who put the plumbing in for the washer/dryer in the kitchen did such a good job. Afterwards you couldn't tell they had to take apart the wall and part of a side wall for the vent, since it was all put back together so well. We were very impressed with Stephens Plumbing and would use them again, if necessary!

Kelly and Kevin were very thorough and efficient. I had Kelly do some work about 5 months ago and was very pleased. I specifically requested him when I placed the order for the water heater, etc. Kelly's extensive experience as a plumber was shown in the way in which the work was completed and the enhancements he made to several plumbing connections (replaced saddle valves for both furnace humidifiers with quarter-turn brass shutoffs). Stephens, and especially Kelly, are a class act and I would highly recommend them to anyone with plumbing work to be done.

We went to their shop on a saturday and given a total price for the toilet and installation the plumber came later in the week and installed it, the plumber did a very professional job I have no complaints with the work done by the plumber.when we went and priced the toilet at the shop we were shown a toilet with a toilet seat on it ,we automatically assumed that was included in the price ,since we were not told otherwise.The plumber also had to replace the water shut off valve at the wall which was not included in the price so they did raise the price up some for that, but overall the price was $115 more than quoted, total debt due to the $73 charged for an $18.00 toilet seat.I have attempted to contact the company twice by email but they have not attempted to return my messages.once again I have no complaints with the work done by the plumber but they don't seem to be interested in customer satisfaction after the job is been completed and the bill paid it.

Stephen's Plumbing is a neighborhood plumbing and HVAC business. I've used their services in the past, always with good results. I needed a new furnace/AC and after receiving several estimates, whittled my choices to COSTCO and Stephen's. COSTCO was actually the better deal. I would get a high end Lennox product with some extras like a "free" thermostat. However, I was not impressed with the sales rep who riddled me with so called COSTCO discounts. His explanation of which model should be installed was unclear. While COSTCO may "sell" furnaces in their warehouse, the work is actually contracted out & that service had quite a few complaints on Angie's List. Stephen's Plumbing does not deal with Lennox products, so I had a York unit installed. A new thermostat cost extra. I did asked them to match COSTCO's pricing but they refused. I chose Stephen's despite what I thought were higher prices for a somewhat lower quality product HOWEVER, I could not have made a better choice. The Stephen's sales rep was also the installer. He inspected the existing equipment, space, surroundings and then chose an appropriate model and explained why. On the day of arrival, he was prompt, courteous, neat, not rushed and seemed totally knowledgeable about the product and its installation. While I didn't get the best deal money wise, there is no price for quality installation and neighborly service.

He was able to do the job the same week that I got an estimate. His estimate was exactly what I paid for. No surprises! We got what we needed at a reasonable price in a timely manner. Would call them again for any future work.

Called at 1pm on a Friday and the were at my house by 2pm same day. Completed putting in a new pump in about an hour. Very professional and took time to explain what was going on. 1st time I used a plumber but Stephens made it a pleasant and painless experience. Would definitely use them again.

Came out and gave me an estimate at no cost and then did the job on time and as quoted. The old sump pump could have leaked when they removed it but they were very careful and there was no damage to the carpet. While they were here I asked that they also look at a sink stopper and they added that on with no complaint. When they came out to do the estimate, they noticed that the backup battery was low on water and got it operational until the primary sump pump could be repaired.

Talked us through turning the main water off and came out on a Sunday, had parts in truck, and fixed problem in under half an hour. Life savers!

Work was not preformed since estimate came in almost 4 times higher than the estimate we went with. I got the impression the job was not wanted so it was priced as such.

Kevin arrived on time. He worked well within his time estimate. He walked us through the instructions. And the cost was less than the estimate. We have used Stephen's several time in the past and the results are always of a very high quality. We highly recommend them.

Since this is our first house, I have never needed to hire an A/C repairman before, so I had a lot of questions about what they look for, how long it takes, and how much it costs. When I called for an appointment I dealt only with a woman who schedules appointments, but couldn't answer questions. When I asked to speak to someone who could, she immediately transferred me to David, one of their techs. David was very patient with my many questions and his answers were understandable and thorough. I made the appointment with him for that week. He called before showing up, since we had discussed that I was coming directly from work. He was very pleasant and professional, looking at our ancient AC unit outside and the HVAC set-up in the basement. He didn't try to hard sell us on a new unit, but did offer to write up a quote for us, which I appreciated. The actual recharge of the freon was very quick. I was very happy with the experience and wouldn't hesitate to use them again. The only downside, I haven't yet seen a quote from him for a new unit. Hopefully that arrives soon.

Ken is our regular plumber from Stephen's, and we're very glad for that connection. Due to an accident, the wall mounted toilet in one of our bathrooms was yanked from the wall, even to the extent that it damaged the seat inside the wall. It was irreparable. We knew this would probably be expensive, but did not know what exactly how much. We also worried that it would greatly disrupt the routines of our students. Ken made an initial visit to assess the situation, and after some communication, was able to order the right part for the job. When he came out to do the work, we planned on giving him the whole day to do the repair, but he was able to finish in less than half a day. The wall repair needed on our end was minimal, which is a great credit to Ken's work. A further credit is Ken's good nature and respect for our students and staff. He worked hard, didn't complain about any inconvenience, and as I said, finished ahead of schedule and under budget. We hope to continue working with Ken in the future!
