Everything went great. They showed up when they said they would and did a good job.

As promised a few days earlier, Stephens came out within 2-1/2 hours of my phone call that we would be ready to have a plumber reinstall our kitchen sink after a new countertop was installed. The office notified me that the plumber was on his way and that kind of coordination and response was very much appreciated. The counter installation and plumbing reconnection went flawlessly all in one day.

All went as planned, they were prompt, called before arriving, installed the equipment, cleaned up and we were very pleased with both the product and the price. They were lower in price than the other three companies who gave us estimates.

I have used this company before. They are on the higher end of the price scale but reliable. However, the snake came up in the toilet and scratched it. I contacted them and they said use Comet as porcelain usually cracks vs scratches. I tried this and several months later I called them to say after months of using a weekly cleaning service the scratches are still there. They had not called back until I used Angie's list dispute resolution. Tony- Owner- called and said he did not know about my problem.He came out the same day and offered to replace toilet. Returned to " Would use again" because of past good experiences with this company

They gave me a date two days from the call. I had told them it was not an emergency. On the evening prior to the date, I found out I had to attend a meeting the next morning. I called and asked if they could give me an approximate time and they did. The serviceman came out well within that approximate time. The serviceman was friendly, professional, and very efficient.

They answered promptly and although it was 4:30 were willing to find a plumber to come replace the water heater. However, they would have charged overtime hours and only had a standard heater and we were looking for an energy star heater. The installation would have been about $200 more since it was overtime.

I called Stephens Plumbing on a Saturday only to find that they charge overtime rates for weekend work. Angie's List reports suggest good quality work and the person I spoke to was very pleasant. I opted for another Angie plumber that has straight A's but no overtime charge.

They came out (on time) and reseated the toilet and provided additional support for the seal. The technician explained how the seal could have been weakened (excessive plunging could cause the seal to bulge out). He also answered a few other plumbing questions I had. He was very polite, and quickly made the repair. Painless experience. Not sure on the exact fairness of the pricing but I was able to use their Angieslist $20.00 coupon.

The work was done well. They were very efficient and professional.

I had a leaking pipe under my kitchen sink. After calling for an appointment, they were able to send someone the same day. In fact, they arrived so quickly, 15 min, I couldn't get home in time. However, they sent another service man in another 15 min. They replaced a section of pipe and showed me that the p-trap was pitted with corrosion due to poor materials. Replaced all of the pipe and did so in 15 min- see the theme? They are quick and I would recommend them again.

Everything went well in spite of the company canceling our original service date. The rep did call us in a timely manner the day of to explain the reason they could not be there due to high volume of emergency calls for that day. The service date was rescheduled and the technician did arrive when scheduled. Although there were no problems with the a/c unit, the tech did find some problems with our electronic air cleaner and a leak in our hot water tank. He did offer helpful suggestions to these problems. We will have them take care of these issues in the fall when we will schedule a furnace check. Our overall experience was great and we do recommend their services to all.

It went very well. I was very pleased, immediately upon entering the house, he covered his shoes as not to dirty the house. They were very considerate. They were very thoughtful. Very competent, I was very pleased across the board.

As usual, Stephens to the rescue! They were able to get a repairman out the same afternoon and, after diagnosing the problem, another person delivered the replacement heater which was speedily installed along with two additional valves that were needed.

We have used Stephens for many years for all our plumbing, heating and A/C needs. They may be a bit more expensive than others, but they are worth every penny. They are on time, professional and thorough.

They were very quick and efficient. He knew how to do everything we asked and worked quickly. Their price was a little bit higher but their outstanding customer service was worth it.

It was a great experience. They were able to come the next day after I called. Rich was prompt and on time and was very helpful. He was very careful moving the refrigerator and walked us through the problem in detail. He was quick and efficient. This is the second time we have used Stephens and both the gentlemen they sent have been fantastic.

I appreciated the time they spent with me selecting the best faucets that would work with my budget. I also ordered a water filter. The plumber came right on time. While installing the kitchen faucet, he showed me potential problems with the filter installation in my particular space. There was no pressure to go ahead with the installation. The kitchen and bathroom faucets were installed perfectly, and he did a great job of making sure the sinks looked great as well after removing the old fixtures. I'm very happy with the total experience. I particularly appreciated the care he took around my two cats, and how clean everything was when he left. I would highly recommend Stephens, and just wish I could hire them for bigger projects right now!

[Overall] Overall, things went very well and it was easy to work with Stephens. [Price] The hourly rates are clearly listed and is exactly what I paid. They also took the Angie's list coupon for $20 off with no problem. [Quality] The drain has not clogged up again. Rich also provided me with some tips for keeping the drain clear. For instance, he recommended filling up the kitchen sink with water every once in a while and letting the gush of water go down the pipe to help keep things clear. [Responsiveness] I called on a Monday and had no problem getting an appointment for Tuesday morning. [Punctuality] Rich called me a few minutes before my scheudled appointment (8 am) and asked if he could stop by. He arrived just a few minutes after he called. [Professionalism] Rich covered his work boots so as not to track any mud into the house. Before he left, Rich was also nice enough to call one of the HVAC technicians at Stephens to answer a question I had asked Rich about ventiliation in my furnace room.

I called them on March 30th when I turned on outside faucet and pipe burst. Water was leaking in crawl space. They were at house in about one hour and fixed faucet. During the repair, Steve noticed that the main shutoff valve were not shutting off completely. He said that these older valves (over 50 years old) would eventually fail and that would cause flooding in house. However, local law does not allow plumbers to shut off water at buffalo box - Downers Grove water department had to do it. So I had to call DG water and arrange for them to shut it off so Steve could fix valves. I called and arranged it for 4/10/2010. Steve came on 4/10 and replaced old valves. Stephens did not charge me a second service charge for coming out twice.

It was great. They came out on a Saturday and were out there within an hour. They told us up front there would be an additional charge for the weekend service. They were very prompt and fixed the problem right away. I was very happy with them.

Rich Kassal was prompt, knowledgeable and very thorough. He didn't leave until he was sure the job was done right. Great job for a very reasonable price. The company communicated very well about arrival time.

My sump pump finally "gave out" during several washing loads. I noticed water (approximately 3") everywhere and began to try and mop as well as scoop up as much water as possible. I immediately called Stephen's Plumbing (a provider I have used for more than 12 years) and they were able to get to my house within an hours. He was able to get the sump pump started long enough to drain the rest of the water. Of course, I knew the sump pump needed to be replaced and he had a new sump pump on hand and installed within one hour.

The repairman was extremely polite and professional, found the problem and fixed it within a reasonable time frame. I was very happy with the service of Stephens Plumbing and Heating and would recommend them.

Stephens Plumbing and Heating continues to keep us happy customers. Always get a technician to the house quickly. Once there, the tech is professional, does the job, explains what they did and presents a reasonable statement.

Great, Kelly is very professional, neat and thorough in both his explanations and his workmanship. He arrived on time, cleaned up after the project and made sure we understood how to operate the unit and what we might expect moving forward.
